Firstly I'm very sorry to post it here. The problem is on "umidigi z1". I bought this phone a week ago and the touch screen stopped working after 5 minutes of unboxing it. The screen is working. I can see but touch is not responsive. Later in the evening it started working again by itself. This happened many times that it starts and stops working. But now from 3 days touch is totally not working. I have tried to clear data, cache, flashed fastboot rom via spflash flash too but still doesn't works.
What might be the issue? Can we fix this? Please help me
P. S. Sorry to post it here but there is no forums for this model and in other forums no one answered me. Thanks in advance.
Warranty claim.
GearBest says that i need to pay shipping to return the product for full refund but in their gb wallet (gb wallet is their wallet of which some % can be used while buying other products)

First off: Let me clarify that I searched the forums but could not find any thread that described my problem. If this has already been answered, please help me close this thread.
I'd been running the Desire V5 Android build with Jul 23rd zImage for a while now without any problems.
I recently started having lag, slowdown and non-responsive touchscreen (I'd have to wake my device many times before it started responding). Last evening, it stopped responding completely. I pulled the battery and booted back to Windows, only to see that that touchscreen wasn't working even there!
Worried, I flashed the shipped ROM for my T-Mo HD2 - no SPL (RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.1_Radio_Signed_15.34.50.07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship) and the touchscreen started working again.
I thought everything was fine and started Android, and found that the touchscreen stopped working.
Now, even reflashing the shipped ROM doesn't seem to do anything.
What can I do? Should I do a Task <what>? Has anyone seen/had this problem before? I'm hoping it isn't defective hardware.
Ok, got it working
Ok, I got it working again.
1. I did a Task 29 using (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644781&highlight=Task29, ShaDrac's repack).
2. Flashed a ROM (I used the T-Mobile stock ROM, but I guess anything else would have worked too).
Hope this helps if someone else faces the same problem!
I wonder why this happened, though.
Im glad you got it fixed
Maybe you can put a [fixed] or something in the thread title to help others?
Just a thought

Guess I spoke too soon! The problem is back, and this time I didn't even boot into Android. Guess it's the hardware. I'll just have to install the stock ROM with SPL and go back to T-Mobile!

I have the same problem. Right now, I think it's the hardware. Just sat down the other day with my HD2 in my pocket. Maybe it has been bent or something like that. I don't know....
the same thing is happening to me..at first if i locked my phone and the screen wudnt respond..now it wont respond at all..i tried flashing it..still not working!!..has to be something with android..i installed a new android build the day b4....or the new cookies home tab replacement...i installed that too...dont kno wat to do now...
I have had the same exact problem.. the touchscreen stopped working when my friends and some chicks were taking pic (EMBARASSING ) ).. and i even tried it on windows mobile, didnt work. tried that yellowish button in the back of the phone to reset it.. nothing happened.. so i plugged in my phone to charge up (IN WINDOWS since i couldnt boot into android.) It was charging the whole night, and when i woke up the issue is gone, havent had it at all after that.
i am almost positive its hardware; you all are describing the same exact problem i had a month back. i finally had enough and called htc, found out the phones are warrantied for a year and sent it in for repairs. took about 3 weeks and my phone was back, 100% fixed and cost me nothing out of pocket (well except the cost of shipping the phone to them). instead of fighting it, call htc......i was so glad when i got this problem fixed it was so damn annoying! good luck all
Thread moved to Q&A.
I had the same problem a few months back. It is certainly hardware. I had this problem before android was available on our hd2's. I task29'd it, flashed to stock rom, and reverted to stock spl. Nothing fixed it so I had to send it back to T-Mobile.

My galaxy tab has been working great until about a week ago when I was using it and the screen just went blank. It is still on because it is backlit and the touch screen still works and I can hear the sounds and it vibrates but there is no display. I have searched every and found no fix! I spent 20 minutes on the phone with a Samsung rep and they were no help whatsoever. Id like to avoid sending my tablet in for repair.
My tablet is rooted but is still running the stock rom.
PLEASE HELP! Thanks.
I think there's a loose contact in there somewhere. Possibly the LCD as the digitizer seems to respond
Thanks for the reply. I gave in and battled two customers support reps the first of which hung up on me while trying to transfer me within the first 5 minutes. If it's not a hardware issue and anyone else has a fix ill be checking this. If not then I'm probably gonna send it in for repair.
Probably some moron applied pressure on the screen on the units when it comes in bundle order, like when you press an LCD for too long it creates a rainbow? most cases it just dies.

Hi guys, I wonder how did the problem was fixed. I´m having a similar problem with a 8 months tab. After 02 weeks turned off, when I turned it on the screen came up with reddish noise (like a TV without signal) e turned to blank right after. I´ve charged the battery during the night and tried again. The image came garbled and turned again as before going blank just after. Trying to reset and hard reset produced no result.
As I bought this tab in USA and am in Brazil now no service rep was keen to take it back.
It seems to me being a hardware problem (a bad conection may be??). I´ve seen some videos on you tube how to desassembly it (does not seem much difficult). Would you, guys, think is worthfull? Send it back to USA going to cost some money and problably months of time...

Hello guys,
I'm a noob, and this is my first thread and the reason why I'm here are my problems with my HTC Desire X.
I already read the rules and I was searching for a similar thread, but I did not found anything. I was reading a lot of threads here, but I decided to open a new one.
The problem:
I have this Desire X for 5 monts (CID: HTC_032) and it was working great until two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, I got the update for Jelly Bean 4.1.1 (software num: 2.20.401.5). After the installation, the phone continue working great, but after 5-6 days, the problems begun.
Now the phone is not usable, in sense that the keyboard is useless, so If I try to type something, the middle row of the keyboard is untouchable, if I try to touch A, either I get Q or Z. Also if I try to touch some icons on the main screen in that area its not registered ( I need to press 4-5 times so the app is activated )
I have tried to do a factory reset many times and the phone after some of the resets is working great for some hours, and then is getting jerky again..I assume that some memory is filled after a while and the phone is not usable..
I was reading for installing the stock ICS, but I'm not sure if that will solve the problem. I mean, is there anyone else that has this problem or maybe you guys already identified this problem. I'm little bit sceptic that this might be a hardware problem, or it is a software one?
I would appreciate if you help me identify and solve the problem

Reading your post, it seems like a faulty digitizer, which only HTC can replace. Have you ever installed custom roms? If not, get it to HTC as quickly as possible.

Thanks for your post..I have only installed the update via the legal Software Update button, nothing else..
So, it is a hardware problem, like I was thinking..but I'm confused why it was working nice before two weeks and now suddenly start doing this stuffs..
Anyway probably I would take it to a service, because it is still under warranty and I would be happy if I get a new one..

Hardware can randomly fail. I've had many phones work one day and the next day they would refuse to work. I'd say get it to service center as quickly as possible before the entire digitizer fails.
Hi guys , just looking for someone to shed some light on the problem i am having with my Galaxy S6 EDGE. The phone is around 2 months old now and it was bought from a CEX store whilst trading my iPhone 6 in...The phone has been fine up until now where i will constantly be getting the error described in the title and have to enter my password to log in. Restarting it fixes it for a minute or so then it begins again . Now is this a hardware issue as i am literally ready to go back and ask for a full refund on the phone and switch back to my iPhone. Anybody experienced similar issue with theirs?
Thanks
Try re-flashing it it with Odin or recovery with Smart Switch.
Thanks although after reading several topics on the matter on here and elsewhere it does state that it is indeed a hardware issue. will be paying CEX a visit tomorrow. plus i shouldn't have to do that on a brand new phone.
Cex will want to exchange it. They don't sell new phones so this will be a loss. Tbh I'd take an exchange unless something else is putting you off the edge.

I have just flashed v3 of this rom but I keep on getting the message; an error has occurred with the fingerprint reader
My fingerprint scanner wasn't working after I flashed a custom rom (Echoe Rom). I did a full wipe of everyting but still nothing.
Then I realised that I upgradeded from Android 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 without upgrading the bootloader (and baseband).Flashed them and all ok now. Not sure if related to yours, just my issues with the scanner
I got a new Elephone S8 about a week ago, and it's having a glitch that's happened 3 different times. The touch screen becomes unresponsive for around 20 minutes, and after restarting it will work again but it always says the battery is at 1% when it had a full charge before the issue happened. Has anybody else encountered this? I'm terrified that one time the touch screen won't come back. It doesn't seem to be a hardware issue, but some type of glitch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Elephone S8 touch screen stop working
I have the same problem, I even managed to put ERAGON ROM and again the same thing, the screen just stops working, I even think it has no rules when it will work, and when it does not.
Not here. It seems to me that some folks got units with flaky digitisers. If it were just firmware, I suspect everyone would have the issue.
To share experience with the problem, touch screen stops working!
I returned via Flash Tool to 01701018 release official and then> flash root> flash twrp. Then I installed "magisk manager 16" and for now the cellular phone works for 2 days, since it will not have a SIM card while testing the touch screen lock. I will let you know guys...
That's what I'm planning on doing today: returning my phone to original rom. Has it happened anymore since you downgraded?

If that's the case, I would need to replace the entire screen, correct? A new one is $50, and I only paid $175 for the new phone! I just don't know if that's worth it

In my case, even the SIM card has no connection to the effect of locking the touch screen of a cell phone, it is always the same problem. The screen simply does not work when it does not work. "It seems to me that some people get units with dirty digitizers?" I have no idea...
Hardware defects should be covered under the phone's warranty... And if it's soon enough after purchase, by the shop where you bought the phone.
Best of luck to you!
