I have a Zenpad 8.0 purchased for my wife who has rarely used it, she tried to log in to it recently but forgot the login details, so i factory reset it, it's now come up with a message when trying to sign in "Unable to sign in to device due to a unknown error, please wait 24 hours" I have left it for a week switched off but still cannot log in. I have used the correct email address and tried 3 of our other google accounts.
I tried to get help from an Android forum (https://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/867563-google-lock-out-after-reset.html"]https://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/867563-google-lock-out-after-reset.htm) and they could not help either. I have also been in touch with ASUS with a proof of purchase who say i would have to send it away and because it's out of warranty it would cost £45 shipping cost's before any other charges.
I have tried everything to get into the device but cannot get past the Google account verification and now the tablet is simply unuseable.
I have tried some fixes i have seen on youtube but nothing works,.
Is there a way to root the device in any way?
Anu help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
I' not sure if this will help, and I am assuming you are refering to the login screen that appears when the device boots up?
I remember reading somewhere that on some devices you can bypass that screen by tapping all four corners of the screen, starting at the top left.
Yes, it's the Google account log in screen, I just cannot get past this. Tried everything. Would routing it not do a hard reset? It's very frustrating...
Can nobody seriously help???
unfortunately i cannot yet post links but if you google "asus zenpad bypass google account" then there are some useful youtube videos that could help

Just bear in mind that sometimes adding the Google account after initial phone set up can cause problems - especially with the Market.

more help
thanks guys but it doesnt let me set up an account and when i spoke to htc they said it wont??? so cant go to market!
any one else?
Maybe you could offer more detail on what happens when you try to add a Google account?
Also, I'm fairly sure there's a way to get the "first-run" wizard to run (aside from resetting) but I can't recall how to do it.
Unless your caught by one of those regions that does not have/allow google on their handsets.
(strange I know but that is politics)
So since yesterday I haven't been able to buy anything from the market. I have tried everything to include removing my google account from my TP and reinputting it. I also tried both the website and from the device. I always get a wierd error. Then in google wallet it shows this:
Polarbit is responsible for charging and shipping your order. Have questions? Contact XXXX.
Jan 6
You placed an order with XXXXX on Jan 6. Google Checkout sent a copy of this receipt to [email protected]
It just sits there. The transactions are also showing on my CC. I have tried three CCs... so I think something is jacked with my wallet account. Does anyone know a fix?
I have the same problem. Carrier billing and billing to a CC are failing, and I'm unable to purchase any applications. I've got five apps that are stuck, and the charges for the ones I tried to bill to a CC are showing on my card. T-Mobile is no help, they've basically told me that it's not their problem. Have you been able to figure out a solution? This is driving me nuts!

I was able to get this resolved by calling Google direct, it turns out that Google has a customer support number for the android market now.
http://support.google.com/androidmarket/bin/request.py?hl=en
I called them and they "escalated it to a specialist," I figured that they were just giving me the brush off, but lo and behold, a couple hours later, the downloads all started.

Sorry...can't help you. We don't discuss warez here, so search Google.
Best idea is to restore to factory settings, oh and don't try to get paid Apps for free?
I'll close this as you are going to start a discussion on wares. We don't support or allow that. Good luck sorting your tab
Hi All, I've being trying to find something related to this, but so far didn't find any solution. Since a few days a few apps like Facebook, 20 minutos, Resultados de futbol, etc, simply stopped working (when I open the app it just closes in a few seconds, and no "Error" message is displayed). I though that it was a problem with my Samsung S4, so I changed for a new one, but the problem was not solved. So I changed my phone again for a Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) and noticed that the issue still happening. I had the idea of restore the phone and change the google account for another new, and... BANG!! all the apps work now. So the problem is with my google account, seems strange for me, maybe you know about this issue and can give me some help. Sorry if posting in the wrong section.
Thanks in advance!
Run a logcat on with your old account. It will tell you what is forcing it to close.
I'm going round in circles trying to set up a phone, and it's all because of FRP.
I start the phone up, connect to the WiFi, it then asks for Google Account credentials and enter them. At that point it tells me I need to sign in with one of the accounts previously used on the phone. Fine, except that this is MY old phone I'm trying to setup and I've only ever used one account on it! It just will not let me sign in with my Google account details which I've previously used on this phone.
HELP!
The phone is nothing special - its an old Moto E3 (I think), about 2 or 3 years old, but I'm trying to set a separate system up to manage something for me and this phone is an ideal candidate. Except I can't get into it using my details that were previously signed in on the same phone.
What can I try?!
Thanks
