has anyone purchased one of these to try ?
its quite cheaper then buying from Samsung.
It looks promising... I enjoy that the picture has a win10 machine running about virtual Win10 machine. At least it looks that way.
Either way, I like it but don't want to risk buying it until I know it works.
Hey All,

If you want a generic, get this one. Works perfect! Had it myself when I had the Note 8.

I am looking for an under counter kitchen mount that will work with the Sony Tablet S. I am finding that I don't use it as much as I thought I would and would love to let my wife use it in the kitchen for recipes/music, etc. (Will be getting an Intel Ultrabook when Windows 8 is released)
Has anyone seen or done this or have any ideas?

I doubt you will find anything ready-made; you'll need to construct a mount yourself. You could construct something ugly using wood or metal, but for something nice looking I recommend using Lexan which can be cut and glued or better yet, heated and formed/bent. You can find articles for working with Lexan on the Intructables web site. Otherwise and of course simpler and easier, you could use Sony's cradle for the Tablet S as a countertop mount. Good luck.
Regarding your decision on Windows 8, I regret reading that. You would be much better off choosing Windows 7 then waiting for Microsoft's next version of Windows. Windows 8 is fated to follow the same path of failure as did Windows 95, ME, and Vista.
Hi,
I was thinking about installing Windows on my Ultra.
Could you please tell me if this is possible ? I have heard that some problem with the Bios may arise

It is perfectly possible if there is somebody to bother doing it. Years ago I was a happy owner of the HTC HD2....a device that could run perfectly Windows Mobile, Windows Phone, Android, Ubunto and much more Only iOS was never fully ported [ It could even dual boot Windows Phone and Android, Some folks tried even tripple boot.
There was in fact a full Windows 95 installation for the HD2. I guess newer versions of Windows would not run on it in at a decent speed. Not very usefull for daily use but a nice way to shock everybody  Sometimes I really miss this device and it's unique developer support. You could really have a totally different phone EVERY day without spending even a euro.
The HD2 is a freak of nature. It started out with Windows Mobile, so that's the reason why it can run "everything Microsoft" out of the box. Android and Ubuntu are open, so it's fairly easy to "port" them to it. iOS is closed like WM/WP, so that's why they haven't fully succeeded to get iOS up and running.
Is it possible to get Windows on the Ultra? Maybe, but i can't imagine any sane person would do it. It would've been all over the place if it was easy.
And just for the lulz, here's Engadget's HD2 review
"The HD2 is a magnificent monster. It is a hulking, intimidating, massive slab of a gadget. If you think the device looks big in photos, it's nothing compared to how it seems up close. Yes, the HD2 is large -- some might say too large -- almost less a phone and more a tablet." - Engadget
Totally agreed also a lot of drivers issues as well probably... That would be simply awesome, the Ultra is doing everything for me when it relates to multimedia and most of my office tasks can be done there that is why I was dreaming about a bluetooth mouse and keyboard and an mhl cable and I can drop my laptop but apparently it is not for now

I'm waiting for @krabappel2548 to port ubuntu touch to the ultra. If I had done any low level stuff I would give it a crack my self

I'm fully aware this site is mainly android & windows phones. I'm just looking for someone that might be able to fix an app that was released for windows 8 pc's. It's called Touchpal, it was put out in Windows 8 but was dropped. It's a swipe feature & is badly needed for us tablet users. I have been able to get the program running by installing & running it in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Everything about the keyboard works except for the swipe function.
I'm wondering if anybody might be willing to take this task on & see if they can get it to work properly, seems like it might not be that hard to accomplish for anybody that knows what they are doing.
Anyways, thanks in advance & please message me if you need any info on the app.
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, I just couldn't find a place that this might catch someones attention. If you have to move it that's fine, just let me know where you moved it to.
Hi !
I've bought one of those cheap Chinese 10" tablets with quad core Intel Atom processor, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, micro SD slot, micro HDMI output, micro nano SIM card slot, micro USB plug, front and rear camera, and protective magnetic cover with integrated keyboard and trackpad.
They exist in either Android or Windows 8.1 versions. I obviously bought the Windows 8.1 version (not even used at all, I hate it), immediately upgraded it to Windows 10 and it works a breeze.
You'll just have to allow all upgrades to be made to windows 8.1 until you're prompted to upgrade. Once done, I immediately erased the 8.1 recovery files to make room, good bye and good riddance, job done. ^^
Check Out Lenovo Yoga 900 it's support Windows 10
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 ,Microsoft Surface 3 Dell Venue 8 Pro all these are good option
I like - Lenovo Miix 700
Thinking on grabbing one of these. Want to ensure the mouse and keyboard function properly. And there's a mic. If it can do voice search too, then all the better. Hey, buddy in this review said he used it for Skype. I wonder if this would work for VoIP calls.. I thought about the smaller airmouse with no keyboard, but Id rather have the keyboard/mic instead.

Side rant about android. I shouldn't have to worry if this would work or not before ordering. On the windows side if this devices requirements said win 7 and above I would just say cool and grab it. But with android, device support is baked into the rom. It may work or halfway work, or not at all. It's a crapshoot. I should be able to see 'android 4.0 and ahove' and decide cool I'm grabbing it.
Hey guys, really wanted tablet on full windows os but didn't want to pay for surface. So i ended up on ali-express and bought this wonderful device http://www.onda-tablet.com/onda-v919-air-ch-9-7-inch-4gb-ram-intel-tablet.html
But i honestly don't know where to discuss it, read faq's etc. Can you navigate me?
That is a very nice tablet. I want to buy one too. How is the build quality? And does it have a stable firmware? Does it run good?
I am really looking forward to it. I am about to order a unit for myself.
Its ok in every aspect, though i've got issue with videocard after sleep:
