Does anyone have, or know of a custom ROM/root for the GT1 Ultimate made by Beelink, that ISN'T Android TV based? I had a good ROM, decided to try a newer one, and now I can't go back. I hate the whole ATV feel. Before, it made my TV look like a big tablet layout. It is a G912 based box, so possibly something else would work with same specs?

I've had one of these for a bit as well. Can't find much information on these guys. Freaktab forums have a bunch of listings for android sticks. This particular one isn't specifically listed but I'm still trying to figure out which popular stick this one resembles most, so at least I have somewhere to start.

Is there a ported ROM available for the Nexus 5 from the Goophone i5s or i6? I looked at these and I'd actually like to try them out to see how smooth they'd run on a more powerful phone. Either that or an equal iOS mimic ROM would be nice if there's one already released. Sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find anything.
no.
in general, roms that are ported from one phone to another, do not run smooth and are buggy, thus the nature of a port. anyways, why would someone want to go in reverse, go from the latest available backward to something worse? and there arent any ios mimic roms for the nexus 5, its kinda funny that you even asked, as many people buy nexus devices to get as far away from ios as possible. your closest choice would be a miui rom, but thats not the same either,
You're not going to find a 'iOS mimic' ROM. And it will NOT run smoother if we had it available.
iOS runs the way it does so smoothly on their devices because the software is optimized to best match the hardware. Android has vary different hardware and uses native code way different than ios so you'd get either one of two things. A really really buggy laggy iOS ROM or an ok performing (and this would be with the 805 SOCs or anything newer and better) iOS ROM.
miui is your closest bet or use different launchers with some xposed modules along with these to make your device somewhat look like an idevice.

What he said about MIUI. iOS is a closed source operating system, its pretty much impossible to port iOS over to a Android device and then they'd have to work on getting the App Store etc etc all that working. It most likely won't happen and if it does, I'm sure Apple would send a cease and desist.
What I suggest the OP to do if you really must do that, download a ROM with CM Theme Manager and use this theme alongside Xposed modules http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2631573

Hi, there is no ported ROM currently for such devices as of this month, as the the Stock ROM has only been released recently. But I do have link where to download the Goophone I6 Stock ROM. From there, I think you'll have to work on porting it yourself.
Link for Stock Goophone I6 ROM:

I have actually done research and this is actually possible, provided only that you know how to extract it's recovery IMG and Kernel. Take note that you'll have to be aware of the MTK platform of your device, as there are a lot of iPhone 6 clones out there running on different platforms.
Anyways, if you are interested in creating a custom mod recovery for this device, I have a link that just might help you:

Punch the Thanks Button if i helped!
Yes there is
Please click here to go and download the Stock software for both goophone i6 versions (plastic and metal)
Why would anyone want a port like this, especially with lollipop arriving? Take discussions to goophones to the proper forums, we need no goo here.
This is a nexus forum for nexus people. We'll have no goophone here.
You need to be British to get that reference.
We can close this thread now. I think either my understanding of what a Goophone is or what I wanted was wrong, but either way I think MIUI would be my best bet if I wanted an interface similar to iOS to switch things up for a while. That's all I was really asking for. Thanks guys.
so for several months now, my mother has been using the LG Vortex, a small Android phone with a 3.2 inch touchscreen. It originally ran Android 2.2, but I've since given it a good old custom ROM, Quattrimus ICS, bumping the OS to, you guessed it, ICS, specifically, CyanogenMod 9. She's used to the OS and the size, but as it is, there are few phones being made to accommodate those people, and as ICS is now legacy by Google, and the microphone appears to be choking on this device, we need a new one.
I have no problem modifying a device to run a newer version of Android if need be, but I'm looking for specific details.
It can not be anything above 4 inches.
It must work on Verizon or Page Plus, or can work with the bands and be flashed.
It must run Android 4.x, or be able to run such versions in a stable way through use of custom ROMs.
That's all that needs to be dealt with. If anyone can help in this case, I would love to see some.
Can someone recommend a development board like Odroid or Raspberry Pi which has good aftermarket ROM support from folks like Slim or Cyanogen or Omni, etc?
Odroid seems to have Cyanogen from what I can tell.
Was hoping for more options, especially something with a bit more ROM support and with great hardware specs.
Why there is still no Lineage or a different Rom out yet? I dont mean the fRoms with stock, i mean stock Android.
Please i want stock Android on the Phone, i hope in future there will be roms.
I'm on your side, but I thing it's not gonna happen. Nobody wants to make a new rom for 5 users. The P10 community is way too small and Huawei made it not really easy.
One thing, I would miss with AOSP is the usage of the finger print sensor. I don't know if it's possible on stock.
I mean for the P9 there is lineage 14, it would be enough to me, there is no need for the newest android 8 lineage 15 rom, it would take also long until we would get lineage 15 for the p10, but stock android 7 is all i want to have.
And why do you want that?
Huawei kirin is not the best one for Lineage but for emui it is.
You will lost some great features if you install lineage.
If that's your favorite Android you should think about change your phone to Pixel or similar phones.

Yeah I can understand your point of view, and maybe it's not the best for stock android, but my P10 was a gift and in the moment I ain't able to buy a pixel sadly. Is it really that hard to build lineage 14.1 for the P10? I don't come along with emui it's just don't my thing, it's for me just like iOS for android and I don't like it, I love stock android and it would be amazing if there would be coming out a aosp or lineage rom.
I also had difficulties getting used to EMUI, but with the right theme (you can even install a pixel theme!) and Nova launcher, the look and feel are quite ok, I think.
Yeah thats true, there are a lot of themes out, but sadly not one has it all right. One theme have different colors in the download-section some gray and black statusbar icons and other one have false status bar icons on it self then it would be in stock, so i tried to get a complete theme by using the theme editor from the play store but it isnt working at all sadly, so i have to make compromises and thats not feeling nice if u want to have a stock oreo/nougat experience. So i really hope that there will be roms in future, if its needed i would have with all i can, test alpha builds etc, somehow the development must going to start at least now.
I wasn't a fan of EMUI at first but have to say I have gotten used to it and really do like it. Not a fan of most OEM overlays but this is one of the better.
Have you tried Lawnchair? On my G4 I used that from the get go and it was still in development and new versions released all the time but was only getting better for fully stock N/O feel. I haven't been following it since this but may be worth a look?
Haven't looked into yet either to see what it's like as still at work, but just had this YouTube recommendation come through on my phone too.
You dont even need such a launcher like nova or lawnchair, u can download the official Pixel 2 Launcher from here, from xda, just the official apk.
And i think when i use the Pixel 2 Launcher, i need to have the complete Android Pixel Stock expierience, its not mention to have any of the Pixel Launcher with that EMUI around it, its my opinion and i am maybe to much pernickety in such things, but thats how i am, and because of that i really wanna have a Android Stock Rom on this device.
