Dc Unlocker void warranty? - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

If I were to use dc-unlocker client to read my bootloader code from my mate 10 pro and then unlock it through adb with the said code, does this go through Huawei so your warranty is void?
Basically do they know I have unlocked it? I want to debrand, flash ota and then relock.

[Q] Wotanserver Unlock?

Hi, new here .
Quick question; has anyone successfully unlocked their XMP with the Wotanserver client? I want to make sure they're reputable and trustworthy before I hand over ~£13. As far as I understand, this is the easiest way to remove a carrier-lock (and no free way exists).
This is mainly so I can then unlock the bootloader and install custom kernels.
Thanks!
I have read from somewhere, that they have unlocked their Xperia with WotanServer and it succeeded. Can't remember, which topic it was....Try searching.
if they use a test point method then you can be almost sure it will work well.
I have unlocked 2 both went without a problem
Sent from my Xperia Mini Pro using xda premium
But, does it give you fastboot? (To flash new kernels)

He needs to remove network-lock, which can be done via WotanServer.

It can be wotan server or omnius or setool but by my own experience if the server uses the test point method there will be no prob and maybe even will left the bootloader unlock.
You can unlock the sim using test point or imei code. So i don't know if wotanserver uses test point as i don't know if the imei method will unlock the fastboot mode that is why i made a comment about the method.

Yes, it does because unlocks bootloader too..
Ok thanks for the replies .
So basically I need to find out from them what method they use (not sure if they'll tell me that :S) and ask if I can unlock the bootloader as a result of using their tool - or if their tool unlocks the bootloader as well.
I'll post here when I get an answer .

dude, to unlock from wotan server, you use the test point method.. And when o unlock your phone from network, it will unlock bootloader too, so you don't have to worry with that anymore... btw, after unlock your phone, don't do officials updates from sony, it will brick your phone..

Ok thanks, I guess I'll go ahead with this then.
Just to clarify on your last point; it's the bootloader unlock which won't play nice with sony updates, right? So if I want to use an official update in the future I can just re-lock the bootloader but keep the network unlocked?

From what we know at the moment, yes it is so.
Not much people have network locked phone, so we don't have much information.
And yes, unlocked bootloader will not let Sony updates to be installed.

Is it no longer possible to unlock bootloader?

I had an Honor 5x before and was able to root, flash, etc it. Dropped it in water, bought a new one - now none of the official bootloader unlock processes work. I contact Huawei and the message is that they don't have bootloader codes because it voids the warranty and an implication that they never did (which is obviously wrong). Any options for unlocking my phone post whatever update did this besides paying four euros for the unofficial version?

This has been reported to succesfully provide bootloader codes within hours of request.
Need to pay ober 50$ for unlocking bootloader?!
I've asked this on the non pro version of the forum, no answer yet however.
How is a 3rd party service like that possible?
Did they find a way to reverse engineer the process of generating the unlock codes ?
Maybe... never Huawei again.
damn, I wanted to root my device just to migrate from my dead nexus 6p.
I'm on a Huawei Nexus 6P right now and if it wasn't for my bootloader being unlocked, I wouldn't have been able to work around the Bootloop of Death. The Mate 20 Pro looks great, but not being able to unlock the bootloader is a showstopper.
If someone uses this service with a Mate 20 Pro and unlocks, please post!

I'm pretty sure the person providing the service works for either Huawei or a third-party authorized repair center. Either way, they have access to Huawei's proprietary service software, which is capable of providing you with pretty much every code you could ever need.
That said, I don't understand how they stay in service though, as all it would take would be for Huawei to "buy" an unlock code from them, check their logs for who requested a code for that IMEI and shut their operation down.
u cant unlock the 20 Pros if its not a chinese version...
is it somehow possible to unlock the OEM button in the developer section?
i hoped for it with the update to 9.0.0.153, but still no success.
thx,
You can unlock the Bootloader via funky Huawei, .171 allows this in the dev options, then you pay $50 for the code. There you have it bootloader unlocked.
I'm on the OTA official .171 update and it has OEM Unlock available in Developer options.

Hi, are you on a Chinese M20 Pro or some other model? Was the OEM unlock feature available before the 17 1 upgrade or it has been blocked out before?

Hi there
I'm sorry man, we simply can't, it's a security measurement from Huawei. Unless you use Funky Huawei which it might work but I never tried it since it's paid.

It's quite sad yeah
I was only able to get a code because I bought a phone right on the release date and some months later they don't give them anymore :/
When we buy a phone we have multiple things to search first
Well if you can still get a refund, I would XD

I can't that's the sad part
Same for me,,you must downgrade the version of your phone,,,i downloaded the stock rom from this site https://androidhost.ru/search.html,,,i had download 135 C432 Version and follow this steps
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77706448&postcount=14
For me i used the forcable method,,and flash my phone with dload method,,,,and it's working for me,,,bootloader unlocker with HCU
I think I know why Huawei blocked/stopped the bootloader unlocking services
1. They want to make their devices not able to install official Android
2. They don't want customer to install custom ROM on their devices
3. They don't want customer to install GApps onto their banned devices
Yea, it will effect every huawei device now, I am sad
Me too
I will never buy any ****y huawei
Lost my data
after charge and reboot it did factory reset by self

We do not spread false news, the warranty with the unlocking of the bootloader is NOT invalidated, Xiaomi allows the unlocking of the bootloader while maintaining the warranty, but if you break it modding with custom kernel / rom you will have to pay to fix it.

the warranty will not be invalidated, but if you create damage by modding you will have to pay to fix the device. Before sending it to service, simply remove twrp and install the original recovery.
