Hello.
Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but I can't seem to find a way to view and extract content of .img nand backup files on android phone itself and/or PC with Windows OS. (currently only looking for system.img file)
I've read there is a "unyaffs" program, but its for linux.
I have Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and it's CWM saves system into .tar archive, which makes it very handy cause, because WinRAR reads these files just fine.
Thank you.
unyaffs can be used in windows too.. just try looking a little harder..
Download the attachment.. I've repacked it with the cygwin dll
Hope it helps..
I was searching and googling for a method for extracting apk files from ROM for my phone Galaxy Note 2.3.6
All results and methods said to extract the files from rom ***.tar.md5 and open a file called factoryfs.rfs by Magic Iso
But when I unzip the rom I didnt found factoryfs.rfs, I found only factoryfs.img which Magic Iso cannot open it!!!!!!
Does Galaxy Note rom has diffrent file format or i am doing something wrong?
Please guide me

Dear All,
I'm so sorry to disturb you with my thread, But I'm facing a problem with my S6 edge and I need the Pit file...
May someone can help me
BR
you don't need..load the firmware that matches most..rename tar.md5 to tar... extract it with winrar ..download the toolkit from original development thread..delete the hidden.img from the extracted firmware..now copy it to toolkit input folder and make a flashable Odin package.. should work
EDIT: I FIXED WITH A SYSTEM.IMG.DAT TOOL
Hi I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus (GT-i9060i) Firmware: KTU84P. I9060IXMU0AOI1 . And I have my original firmware downloaded...
BUT there's a problem, I want to extract system.img to get original files but no program works I tried ext4 unpacker sgs2toext4 ext2explore liux diskinternals
Nothing works that I give up and I have to ask
How can I open my system.img file??
Any help would be appreciated
