The previous uploaded odin link for BRA1 went down, and you need to be on BRA1 to use the new oreo system updates. So I ended up buying them myself. Enjoy.

I did it this morning, I used ODIN to go back to BRA1 AT&T version and then put the newest update on an empty SD card and applied update for SD using the recovery menu.
Hi, quick question. Sorry if this has been asked before. I already searched the entire forum for an answer.
So if I am on security patch March 1, 2017 (BQC2) version, can I just go ahead and flash this or do I need to be on an specific version in order to install this? I just don't want to brick. Thanks in advance.

Can i use flash my cell phone with this update??? Please help me.
You can Odin to BRA1, it'll be much faster than OTA all the way to BRA1 (which is alot of updates for where you currently are.
Im having issues flashing this file because it doesn't come up with the .md5 format. And Odin stays stuck on "file analysis" when i take off the .rar extension. Any one have any other firmwares i really dont want to flash all the way back and go through several updates just to get it up to date. Thanks.
Don't just take remove the. Rar, actually unzip them with 7zip,was the only way I could make them work myself

you do realize you need to let odin run for more than 10 minutes sometimes. its literally processing 500mb -4gb of data. stop interrupting odin because its not finishing on your time. its called patience.
all you should be doing is extracting the md5's from the zip using winrar or something similar. when in odin you need to be clicking on the bl ap cp and csc and putting the extracted files in their places and hitting start and literally letting it run until it is finished without clicking anything. it is not STUCK on file processing... it IS processing the files

Hey!
I first got my galaxy s6, model; SM-G920I around start of May 2015 and I rooted via CF autoroot a few days after.
Haven't done much since, however, today I decided I wanted to update my software to lollipop 5.1 and to do that I first had to unroot via SuperSU and then update via Smart Switch.
After all the preparations were completed in Smart Switch, my device failed during the process, sending me to the cyan screen saying, "An error has occured while updating the device software..." .
This incident rendered my device unrecognizable by Smart Switch and since then I have not been able to flash the stock SM-G920I ROM via odin, as it always FAILS.
tl;dr
-rooted phone
-unrooted phone for software update
-device failed during smartswitch process
-cannot flash stock via odin
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There was only a Cache.img and Recovery.img but no hidden.img

Thank you again!
on a note 5 i can flash it that way too ?
if i have the same problem on a note 5 N920T (i know we are talking about S6 edge ) but doing that on any android with soft brick will work?
Ok just got replacement S6 edge had D0l1 firmware on it out the box...flashed unikernel in ODIN on it for root....booted just fine and had root...then flashed latest TWRP through ODIN tried to reboot into recovery Now phone won't boot. if I force a restart it does Sammy logo then a white flash real quick to black screen followed by a vibrate then just stays black. Only thing I can do is get it in DL mode.
Now I have tried to DL the D0l1 Firmware from 2 different sources on here at XDA so I can ODIN back to stock but can't get Odin to recongize the zip.....so I extracted the files but says something is corrupt?. I am not a noobie when it comes to rooting and flashing and this is the deepest of trouble I have ever been in as far as Bricking a device. I have no clue what to do now???? Any help please!
Honestly, all I need is the D0l1 firmware which I cannot somehow get without it being a corrupt file
I just don't get it.....Odin will not recongize the D0l1 firmware for me to flash? I just Odin'd back my other S6 edge with broken screen to send back for insurance claim no problem with c09 firmware or the # before this D0l1. 3 different download sources same thing Odin will not see the zip file after clicking on AP.
I can' boot into recovery..does anybody have the stock recovery for tmobile that I can flash in ODIN??

Ok I tried to DL the D0l1 firmware from couple other places on here and when I unzipp it Winrar is popping up message saying the the file is corrupt but it unzips anyway then when I flash in ODIn it says Fail....not sure if that's because of the file or this new bootloader from Sammy is ****ing things up for people like us? I'm staring to get nervous....this DL from Sammy is gonna be a long time.
Also, I just noticed they have ODIN 3.10.7 out.....gonna DL that also as I have 3.10.6 still. see if that helps at all.
Yes...the dl will take a minute. If possible just leave your pc alone while it downloads.
If Winrar says its corrupted then it is. No sense in trying to flash it

How can the file be corrupted straight from Sammy???
Is there anyway you can get me the file already unzipped not saying it was corrupted?

Bro....I think I might be ****ed honestly, I hope not but it seems like if you get stuck in a BL with this new loader....it will not let you flash a stock image. My phone says in red at top when I force a restart (Recovery is not seadroid) I tried extracting just the recovery out of the D0l1 firmware and packed it up as a TAR and flashed but it just hangs and never completes the process. I have searched google to the end of the earth about trying to recover after this new firmware update but can't anything or anybody successful....just people stuck like me. Wish I would have just let it go and rolled stock cause I was gonna jump to the nexus probley.....but you and some others showed you were rooted and good....it all went downhill after odin'd TWRP
Your fine....my upload will take awhile. Its the tar file. So all you will have to do is flash in Odin
Your stuck because you didn't unlock the bootloader. If you get into download mode then your going to be ok. So just kick back for a few hours until my upload us done

PS: It is better to flash the pit files. Don't worry, your Network unlocked status will remain same after updates.

Do you have the right files for your model G930A or G935A. Normally that's the issue. Also make sure your using the official Odin when flashing factory firmware.

Dumb question here, We can flash each file independently. EX: If i wanted to flash just the ap file to replace the eng boot i could do that...

I just downloaded the file and used it to flash a G930A successully. You should probably just re-download the file.
Thanks for the feedback but I got it to work. Idk but it wasn't extracting on my Mac so I tried on Windows and it worked. Am actually running it now on my phone and everything so far working as it should.
you mention the S7Active there,
does that mean you have the Nougat Odin files for that too ?
and where did you get these images from ? did you get them from their servers ? (somewhere like ? h t t p s://xdmd.sl.attcompute.com/agents/48838/1488/ ??)

Read through the samfail thread at least 20 people had that same issue and got past it using a different variation of those steps listed in op. Also, don't forget to use search feature in the samfail op to look for others who have device mismatch errors and how they got it up and running.

Just so you know. your issue is because you took the update and you are incrimented. You are currently trying to downgrade and you cant. You must install the incrimented firmware to get working again. This also means No root for you.

I was rooted with v1 and updated to BQJA because another method was found thanks to you, and i would just re-root. When i flashed the BQJA files, it PASSED but my Note had error under the progress line on the screen. I would like to flash it correctly with the correct files until v2 is available. Device is doing stupid stuff like most apps F/Cing when they first open and some other odd things. I did a factory reset and wiped the cache in recovery and tried reflashing the factory firmware, still saying error on display, it PASSED, but im putting all my apps back and waiting for it to happen again....
So my dad got this new s7 edge for me. i used it for 1 day or so and realised that the android version is till on 6.0.1 . i tried to update the device manually but it says that its up-to-date, but im sure enough that its not. i also tried the smart switch method from Pc , but there is now update option in the smartswitch software as if the device is upto date.
I downloaded a root checker app to see if the device has been rooted or not , but the app shows that there are no signs for rooting. Can someone please help me with this, im tired of trying.

Okay, once you downloaded the Firmware, you have to extract it. You should get an .tar or .tar.md5 file then.
Now you need to Download the Flashtool for Samsung Devices called "Odin"

If I'm not wrong you have the S7 Edge from USA T-Mobile Carrier. This Link has the latest Android 7.0 Nougat Update (Build 12.04.2018) for the S7 Edge [USA T-Mobile].
Okay, once you downloaded the Firmware, you have to extract it. You should get an .tar or .tar.md5 file then.
Now you need to Download the Flashtool for Samsung Devices called "Odin"
Link: https://odin3.en.lo4d.com/download
This File contains the Latest Odin Tool Version 3.13.1
Send me Message again once both Downloads are finished and you extracted the Firmware so I can tell you the final steps to flash your Device

Good. One Question first: is the Firmware a single .tar File? If yes, then start Odin, select AP and select the Extracted Firmware File.
After that (Backup all your Important Data first before proceeding!) you have to put your Phone into the Download Mode, Power it off, wait a few Seconds, and then press and hold Volume Down Button and Home Button and after that press and hold the Power Button. If you get a Blue Screen displaying a Warning, everything is good and you can enter the Download Mode by pressing Volume Up Button another Time. Then Connect it to your PC and wait for Odin to say "Added!" after that simply hit Start to Flash.

You should be able to download a 7.0 Nougat Firmware for your Exact Model and then flash it via Odin.

Answer 1: If it gets interrupted while flash, it normally shouldn't do any damage. It would be then called a Soft-Brick and you would have to flash it again.
Answer 2: Depends on what File Size the Firmware has. But normally it shouldn't take more than 5-10 Minutes.
If I understood right, you have 5 Files.
Do they (kinda) look like this or have such letters in it?
- BL ...
- AP ...
- CP ...
- CSC ...
- USERDATA ...
If yes, then you just have to put the files to the correct Tab. Like BL ... to the BL tab and CSC to the CSC Tab.
