I have enabled developer options, enabled booting from USB with SeaBios. I want to install Ubuntu again, but when I go to hit, CTRL + L, it makes 2 loud beeps and it goes no where. Any fix or help?

My friend's daughter was playing with the unlocking screen and of course she locked the device for good. Since this tablet was bought some time ago just for her amusement, no one remembers what was the google account they used - possibly a phony one created just for the purpose of using the device. This discards google recovery as an option.
It's a cheapo tablet sold here by Walmart under ONN brand. I did some research and have found it's being made by YiFang Digital and marketed as M7000NBD
yifangdigital.com/product/M7000NBD.aspx
According to the manufacturer, it's powered by AML8726-MXS Dual Core + Mali TM-400 and it's running Android 4.2. I'm pretty sure it's not rooted, and it has only 3 buttons: PWR, VOL UP, VOL DOWN.
My friend doesn't care about the data stored on this device and I offered to help thinking that I will be able to perform a factory reset the usual way. I was wrong.
When I use the PWR + VOL UP key combination, to enter Android system recovery, first thing that shows up after the boot is an Android figure with a red triangle and an exclamation mark. If I press the PWR+VOL UP again, the system recovery menu shows up but I can not navigate through its options. At least not using the VOL UP/DOWN buttons. The only button that works is the PWR, but since "reboot system now" is the option selected by default, it's the only action I can perform from within this menu.
When the above failed, I thought about ADB as an alternative way. Unfortunately the USB debugging seems to be turned off so, as far as my limited knowledge goes, there is no way of running ADB shell in that case. For obvious reasons, there is also no way of switching it on.
Just to be sure, I've checked both in Windows and Ubuntu. Same story. I also don't think the ADB is enabled in recovery menu. When I connect the device it starts charging but Windows Device Manager doesn't notice any change. "Adb devices" returns nothing and "adb shell" returns "error: "device not found"
In Ubuntu, nothing shows up in lsusb while in system recovery menu and I get 2207:0000 ID when on Android's "too many attempts" screen. I can access the tablet as a storage unit (with no acces to root dir of course) but because the debugging is off, even after editing the adb_usb.ini and 51-android.rules I get nothing in "adb devices" .
Tried the bootloader/fastboot approach. My fingers hurt from trying different key combinations and I accomplished nothing. Even tried the VOL +/- >> connect USB >> press PWR several times procedure, I remember from the original Ainol Novo 7.
Is there any other option to factory reset this device? Or maybe there is a way to make the system recovery menu respond?
If it makes any difference, I have a Windows 7 desktop and two notebooks running Windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.10 respectively.
Thanks in advance for every suggestion.
Hello, Suddenly my phone's touch stop responding, also the capacitive buttons. But the Power Button & Volume buttons are ok.
I don't want to go the service center as they have poor quality servicing, SO i wanna root it and flash new custom ROM & check whether the touch is ok then.
Can anyone tell me how to root my android using PC without enabling USB Debugging on phone. As the touch is not working so i cant enable that.
I got the fire hd6 so I could use my own apps on it, only to my discovery it uses the horrendous amazon store, and so I wanted to root it and done so using some root junky thing. It worked fully rooted for a day, but the next time I started it up, I got the infinite "Optimizing system storage and applications" loader.
This is where things get funky,
Factory reset using volume up+ power allows the hd 6 to work once (It boots to setup, but when I turn it off and back on, its stuck on optimizing system storage loader). Once I boot it up, the home screen is blank, and will freeze the tablet. However, if I push the power button off and back on the lock screen works fine, and from the lock screen I can open settings and turn on developer mode and enable adb debugging.
I did all the steps with android studio and got my drivers working for when the tablet is turned on (its on the list of adb devices), however when I volume up+power and try to boot with new firmware, my pc suddenly can't recognize it.
It's a shame because it's barely been used, and there are no guides online that could help me with this, the closest is root junky's guide, but his seems aimed towards later generations, and he doesn't have the issue of the pc not recognizing the adb device when its in the boot mode. I really don't want to trash it, but it's not like there are too many options.
Hello there,
This is my second Chromebook Asus c434 and my first being a R11. I am no stranger to getting a Chromebook into developer mode, following all steps, ESC+refresh key+ power...ctrl+D on the recovery screen. My R11 ran wonderfully and I still enjoy it from time to time but I wanted a new upgrade. For some reason these past 5 days I am unable to get my Asus c434 into developer mode. I get to the recovery screen and ctrl+D does nothing. Is there something I am missing on this new model Chromebook? Is my unit defective?
What I have tried once in recovery screen...... (usb/sd card showing)
ctrl+d
ctrl+d+volume down
Holding keys for longer seconds (nothing happened)
tablet mode (hold power+up/down volume) - this yielded NO results NO boot screen
If anyone has any suggestions or has a c434 that they can try.
Thank you!

Hey all.
Notice: This wiki might work for more LG Devices with limited settings..
I have browsed the web for find a working tutorial for bypass FRP on a LG G6 wich has LIMITED settings: network settings + tethering only and that wont let you install any applications or even list applications due to selinux but none is legit, not even here at this forum so I decided to create one.
I am not very active here at xda developers so don't expect me to create more wikis, maybe for some other devices I haven't seen a legit wiki for, we will see.
I wanted to add pictures first but they got HUGE so I decided to create the wiki without pictures and videos so if you feel you wanna see pictures while you hacking the device, browse to my github (here you will see how to install apk files aswell if you are on Android 8.0, wich is not possible without using the method on my git due to limited settings, you wont be able to override them to install lg settings or any similiar, you wont be able to install hidden menu neither):
https://github.com/wuseman
However, let's go!
Requirements
Your device, a PC and your usb cable, no annoying urls will be posted in my wikis.
Important:
You must be on Android 7.0, you can download any firmware from lge.firmware.com, it wont matter wich you will download until you bypassed the firmware.
But since you probably not wanna download a firmware twice it's better to download the correct one already now, okey the flashing part is easy and is described at
lge's homepage so I wont go deeper in this part since I expect you know how to rollback your device to 7.0 from 8.0.
# Bypassing FRP!
At welcome screen, press arrow next button:
followed by pressing on skip
Now you will notice next button in wifi window is inactive so now connect to wifi, this is only needed so settings will appear in the accessibility menu
No worries, we wont enable some lame talkback setting wich is used many times
Go back to main screen (wifi must be connected):
Press on accessibility
Press on switch access at bottom:
Press on settings in down right corner
Press on Help & Feedback
Press on about switch access for Android
Press fast on top at the video, now you see the clock and press on it beside the share icon
Youtube getting started for 1 second you wont even notice it, and you have been redirected to google chrome browser
Now you're at google chrome, if you wanna try to install an apk do it, you wont be able too since the limited settings, probably you already know? (However, lets move on and ignore the scammers/noobs that claims it works to install applications this way)
But no worries, browse to any site that allowing you to press on a number since we want phone application to be started:
Once pressed on any phone number you found on any site get into call application
Now enter the uusd code for secret menu
*#546368#*870# (Hidden Menu Is Not Available On Android 8.0 Hence We On Android 7.0)
And now you're in hidden menu wich you wasnt allowed to open in android 8.0, browse to SVC MENU:
Followed by pressing on LDB
Is the USB debugging button grayed out? This seems to be various for different firmwares have I noticed:
Don't get panic! Then just read the below, others can feel free to jump over this part once they enabled usb debugging:
Turn off your LG device
Re-do the flash process with LGUP
Once the installation is complete and your device is erasing itself with the white background and the android logo on screen saying "DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR DEVICE" - That's exactly what you must do so turn off device by hold POWER + VOLUME DOWN (if you will be to late first time, you will succeed second time just press the buttons ~2-3 seconds before you know the screen will popup so you will poweroff the device during installation) - Now let the device be powered off for ~1 minute and then turn it on again and redo the process from step 1 until 22 and you will be enable to enable usb debugging if you wasn't to late when powering off the device, IF it's still inactive then just try again and try again until it will work, actually I figure out this after my third attempt and now I have tried this several times and you must turn it off while it's between 0% and 100% and since POWER + VOL DOWN takes ~7 seconds to power off device and the screen appears for around 4 seconds you must press the buttons few seconds before to turn it off exactly when it's needed.
Now when usb debugging has been enable, plug in usb cable in your pc and enter shell by adb shell and copy and paste below oneliner:
Code:
for apps in "com.android.google.gms com.lge.setupwizard com.lge.hiddenmenu com.google.android.setupwizard com.lge.easyhome"; do pm uninstall --user 0 "${apps}";done; am broadcast -a android.intent.action.MASTER_CLEAR;reboot
Once device rebooted
Click next arrow button at main screen
And press on skip again as we did earlier.
Connect to wifi and hit next
Voila! You can accept documents now ... But hey, don't be to excited yet..
Just continue until you will join the HOME screen, voila - It's done!
Nah, just kidding. You will get your device formated, again, don't cry over this since it is expected!!!!
The device will reboot, erase itself and now the magic! Your'e done.
Setup your device as usual once again:
For third time hit arrow next button in main screen
Hit next in sim menu if you have no sim-card
Connect to wifi, or leave it disconnected it wont matter
Next, setup your fingerprint
Okey, you're back at were you was started for accept the documents, don't worry - It will work! However, now
You will see a smart forward window for setup sim, just press next as usual:
Finally done.
We have now reset the permissions for everything so just setup device again and this time you you will enter LGE home screen and device wont reboot.
Have fun with your fully unlocked LG device running with latest firmwares for version 7.0 from lge.firmware.com with limited settings and no options for setup apk files or bypassing hidden menu.
Feel free to upgrade firmware with LG Bridge or LGUP to Android 8.0
Enjoy
Regards wuseman
