Wheres the option for power button to end calls? I don´t like it.. rather have the screen to be on/off with the power button. I read it would be under settings/Accessibility/ but nothings there. I remember i changed it before.. but now idea where

Found it! Its in setting/Accessibility as i googled, you just have to download the talkback app from market to have a new option there

Where did you found it, cause I have been looking and looking and no mather how many disability programs from google I install, the option to deactive it seems to work.. and I hate it

I just downloaded the app talkback v2.7.7 (google ink) from market and suddenly the option for not ending the call with power button accourd in accessibility =)

using the newest s5570 cm7 rom from tj? I installed 5 times and all, and its just not appearing in settings. u using gapps?
I have the exact same problem. I hate it!! Anyone find a solution?

Simply, edit /system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl and change key 107 to POWER instead of ENDCALL.

I should probably start by pointing out that you need the Xpose Framework installed to use this! Click here for the Xpose APK and more information about it
I've been looking over the Xpose Framework recently and I've become really impressed with it. So in learning it, I went ahead and corrected a few of the things I didn't like about the stock TouchWiz ROM on our Note 2's. I thought I'd go ahead and share this mod because I think I'm not the only one who prefers google voice search over S-Voice. The best bit, though, is that long-press search is just a regular Intent that any app can answer, so you're not locked down to Google voice search either!
I've attached the HoldHome APK in the post below.
One of the other things I managed to 'correct' via Xpose was that snoopy SysScope app, incidentally. I'm a bit concerned about releasing that one though, for obvious reasons.

EDIT - unfortunately it does nothing for me, double press had no response. Disabled the home2launcher, rebooted after activating module, no luck...

Hmm. Did you disable the the S-Voice activation on home press setting in the SVoice app itself? (Menu button in the SVoice app -> Settings) You need to have that setting enabled so the mod can hijack the intent it generates.

Ah, there we go then. This is designed for the stock roms where S-Voice pops up if you double press the homebutton. Custom Roms would be too varied for me to target

Im running stock touchwiz on my Note 2, with the Xposed framework and I can't get this to work. The module is there and enabled. I have nova launcher installed but removed all gestures. I have disabled s voice option as you stated above.
Holding the home button simply brings up the multitasking menu. Double press does nothing now that I have disabled it in the s-voice settings.

Have you remapped the long press search? Long press home and you should see a magnifying glass. Hit that button and select Google Now.

When you long press the home button and the multitasking menu comes up there should be 3 buttons at the bottom. One is a trashcan, one is to check the RAM and the middle button should be a magnifying glass. Hit that and set Google Search as your default. Here's two screenshots to show you before and after. It goes from magnifying glass to the Google logo.

You got it wrong... "s voice option" needs to be enabled.
Then next time you double click the home button, instead of having SVoice, you get a choice of apps which can react to a "search longpress" event (in TouchWiz ROMs, "double click the home button" = "search longpress").
For me, I could select among phone, widget locker, go sms, google now, secure settings,...
Select the app you want and click "this time" or "always" depending on what you want.
Done!

It seems so. But you need the PRO version of Secure Settings (which I don't have, so I cannot fully test).
Doesn't work work me. I still get the G icon instead of the magnifying glass. Svoice is enabled too.

This is the direction i'm following and i do not see the magnifying glass to set google search.

If you already have the G icon then you already have Google search... You don't need the magnifying glass. The magnifying glass comes up when you have S Voice disabled and nothing mapped to the search function. Disable S Voice and then use this module. Do you understand what this module is for?

ah ok thank you. stupid waste of a button if all you can have is google, & absolutely ridiculous you've got to hack your hardware to edit a menu option. guess they are continuously trying to remind us that the hardware we purchase is actually theirs, it wont be long before modifying your systems is criminal & punishable by 10 years in prison for blocking a few adds or is that the nsa/gchq!

That feature is there because Google implemented it in AOSP code. Sony works over that, and they do not remove stuff like that...

On my Z1 I managed to remove that "Google Now / Google Search" thingy normally appearing after a long hold of the home icon.
I went into configuration / apps / all (translated from German model) and deactivated "Google Search".
My personal device usage revealed no drawbacks so far.

It's an option, but it disables the app as a whole. That's not exactly a solution...

You turned off unlock with home button in display/nav bar setting probably.
I think you should likely Google the features on your device and/or hit you tube...they are good sources for people new to samsung devices.

thanks for the reply force but I spent over 20 minutes searching for it without any luck, I'll go into the shop and ask. :good:

I just discovered that i can't pin apps in my H10. I did pin Youtube, Messeges, Calculator and it exits from any app when pressing home key!
Is there something that i miss?
On my previos phone SG A5 2016 u must activate it from settings.

Go to settings - security - more - screen pinning - on. Works great on my phone.
