Hello !
Does anyone have problems with notifications? Example - not recieving any notification from messenger or whatsapp until I unlock screen, it is mostly happening while on mobile network, it looks like my service provider has some kind of issue with connection, something like there is no network when screen is off/locked. If I don't use phone for half hour, when I'm driving, sometimes I get all notifications at once, 10 messages on messenger, few on whatsapp and so on...
If this is only happening on my phone then it is probably related with my mobile network ( bonbon Croatia ). I don't know how to check where the problem is so I'm asking here to eliminate software problems.
One more question, messages from viber sometimes have notification sound and sometime don't, if phone is locked, screen does turn on but there is no sound, anyone having this issue ?
I don't know if it is just "circumstantial" in my case, but often when I unlock my phone, I will get a ton of notifications for emails all at once.
This does not (always) happen, but it is annoying when it occurs.
I think Oreo has come bugs in its creamy filling.

As part of my job responsibilities I am on call and receive pages for system alerts. Sometimes, we get many (hundreds) of alerts at once. The first time this happened with my S4 it rebooted itself after about 30 SMS messages were received in quick succession. Three more times this past weekend it did the same thing. At the time I was on the lock screen, so the SMS notification thing was up on the screen, and I could tell it was having trouble updating the screen with the frequency of incoming notifications.
Anyone else experience this problem, and do you think Verizon would accept this as "faulty" and exchange my phone for something that can handle SMS notifications, if there's no fix?
No I'm not rooting, if I pay for a working phone I want a working phone out of the box. If I mess with it afterwards, THEN I have only myself to blame, but I'd like to get this issue worked out before I do that, as I have done with all the phones I've rooted/unlocked.
I have a Samsung Note 5 from Verizon. My friend has a Samsung S6 from Verizon. We both have issues receiving app related messages in Whatsapp, Line, Kik, and Skype. When the phone, I'm guessing its a sleep mode when you hit the power button when not using the phone, we don't receive notifications of texts until you open the phone and or start the app. It doesn't happen all the time but enough to make you mad. Also sometimes when the phone is even on. I'm guessing its the OS because of my friends doing it also with a different phone. The phones aren't rooted or anything. We are in good WIFI areas and its connected. Also I noticed if I shut off the WIFI and turn it back on the phone it will then receive the text. And no were not on the same WIFI, different states. Has anyone else had this issue or heard of it? Thanks for any help.
Hello Android community!
As the title says, I am having some issues with notifications on my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge.
The version I use, is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, G925FXXU4DPGW and the model number is SM-G925F.
The problem is this:
Whenever I receive a notification from certain apps, it shows the pop-up window like normally, however, the notification does not stick in the notifications drawer, so, if I am not using the phone at the the time, I don't know if I received any new notifications, plus, there is not any notification sound either, and the phone just randomly vibrates from time to time, even when the screen is on, and sometimes without any pop-up window.
This is happening with Facebook, YouTube, and almost every downloaded app I have, but it is not happening with messages and phone calls. Whenever I receive a message or a phone call, the phone rings and vibrates like it should and I see the messages at the notification drawer but not the phone calls.
Any idea on how this happened and how to solve it? I still haven't tried a hard reset but I would like to avoid it and don't know if it will work either.
Please help me and sorry about my english but it is not my first language.
Thank you
Hi
i have some issues with the mate 10 pro notifications. especially with whatsapp -
from time to time my phone starts the whatsapp incoming massage ringtone (or vibration if its on vibrate mode) and stops halfway through the tone - when i open my phone i see no notification whatsoever.
i came to understand that this happens when i receive whatsapp massages from group chats that are muted (with notifications set to 'do not show notifications') - not every massage from those groups does that but from time to time when its happening its because of those massages (sometime i can see a push notification from those muted chats that disappears quickly - its as if my phone forgets those chats should not give notifications and reminds that after its starting to vibrate and ring)
this is extremely annoying as im getting those vibrates or notification sound even though im not suppose to.
did someone else experienced that? and maybe succeeded fixing that?
bump
anyone?

I don't have a solution, but I have similar issues with WhatsApp notifications. Usually I don't get the LED flashing, but I do see a notification when the phone is unlocked. Occasionally, I get no LED and no notification when the phone is unlocked. These phones have great hardware but rubbish software
Not a Huawei specific issue, had the same bull**** with WhatsApp on both the A8 and the Pixel 2 XL. Was OK on the Mate 10 and S9+.
I assumed it was a Huawei issue, as it's worked perfectly on every other phone that I and my wife have owned. The Huawei software has a habit of killing background processes, even when you tell it not to, so it seemed a reasonable assumption.
Hello everyone, I have a Huawei P40 Pro and I only get WhatsApp messages when I open the APP, no matter how long it has been since they were sent to me. I've tried various things and I've written to WhatsApp help, but it seems like a robot that responds the first thing it thinks of, even though it's unrelated to what's happening to me.
For example send this query with information of what you had done:
The messages only arrive when the app is opened, at which point they arrive in a flash. As long as it does not open, no message arrives or notification.
1.- The app's battery management is in manual mode, so it can work in the background
2.- The use of data in the background is allowed
3.- Notifications are allowed and enabled, with sound and vibration
4.- It happens both with the data of the Sim and with the WiFi connections, having adequate coverage working Internet in all the apps at high speed.
5.-The latest version of the app is installed
6.-The mobile is a Huawei P40 Pro WITHOUT Google SERVICES installed
7.-I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app
8.- The only way to reproduce the error so that you can see it is to record the screen by opening the APP so that you can see how the messages arrive, but it won't show that hours can pass if I don't open it .
And the WhatsApp help service answers me:
Hi, thanks for your message. Your phone uses Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) to receive push notifications on WhatsApp. The most common reason for delayed or missing notifications is a lack of connection between the Wi-Fi network, mobile operator, and GCM. In order to prevent these disconnections from happening, make sure that the phone has a strong Internet connection and that background data is not restricted. For more information, see this article. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to help you.
As you can see, he answers things that in the question itself I already tell him that I have verified. Could someone help me solve it or at least contact a WhatsApp human who can understand my question?
Same Here. If my Huawei Nova 10 SE has a locked screen whatsapp notification do bit appear. As soon as I wake up the screen the notification popis up. Anyone knows the solution? Although, after some time...5, 10 or 15 minutes something happens and the notificaton pops up.
