If you guys have the s9+, exynos or Snapdragon, can you install BBS (Better battery stats) and look at your kernel wakelocks while using LTE only. I have mmc0_detect and umts_p0, killing my battery, just want to compare if I have an app that's triggering those, or it's just the LTE modem as with every samsung phone

Screen darker than | 5 times darker than | normally possible thanks to Screen Filter app,
removed more than 70 system apps (I have less than 40 now) with the rest except absolutely essential being frozen,
WiFi GPS and all the rest turned off, sound muted, CPU and GPU undervolted and underclocked,(flashed 4.4.2 ROM and Dorimanx 10.43v98.4 Kernel which noticeably boosted battery life, especially after tweaking with the settings) disabled error reporting and everything else battery using I could think of while playing any game?
I doubled the battery life thanks to all the changes I made (read above) because the battery lasted barely an hour, often less. The issue was ever since I got the phone and I thought it was caused by the Samsung bloatware and Android 2.3.4.Being very UNsatisfied with the battery I bought a new one and it doesn't help except that I have double the battery life again (4 hours max) which is still very bad for Me.
The screen gets hot but the battery is even hotter and the area around the SoC (CPU, GPU etc) gets the hottest, I believe
**So is this normal? What else can I do apart from the improvements I wrote above to improve the situation?**
If a battery gets hot maybe try flashing different modem. Can eat alot of battery if it's poorly suited for your country.

Even with airplane mode on wifi always off, no simcard, phone etc apps removed? (In about phone baseband entry is blank!)
It shouldn't be so.
This could be a problem.Try flashing one suitable for your country or one of the so called global ones, like xxms2,xxms4 etc.
Wrong modem+ril may eat your battery even on airplane mode.
I've been reading ways to save battery life.
I have Greenify only to hibernate apps, but it seems like my battery drains 1% per 10minutes on idle. I read about TricksterMod, adjusting your kernel settings.
How can I do this with mine?
Also, it drains fast but charges slow.
Kernel version:
3.0.64-CM-g4ca83ff

Suggestions please. Thanks!
Hi,
I am currently on marshmallow 6.0.1 S925I Galaxy S6 Edge. This is a international unlocked phone used for Tmobile. Attached is a screenshot of remaining time left on battery at 100% charge. Does anyone's s6 edge phone showing more than 10 hours at 100% charge? If so can you direct me on some things I can do to improve my battery life. I feel like the remaining time should be more in the 17-24 hr range. This time was done after a factory reset from lollipop.
can someone please help me with this? Thanks.
S6 edge has battery issue as it having only 2600 mah battery.
6 hours maximum on wifi usage.
Its problem with every s6 edge
It's not really a problem for everyone else Sam, to get the most out of your battery I use Greenify (xposed module, with aggressive doze enabled), Also in conjunction with DS Battery Saver (selecting what profile for given situation ie: @work switching on Agressive mode).
Also down tuning CPU and GPU with custom kernels make all the difference. Plus using dark themed apps also saves huge power consumption.
My stats
Mines says the same thing. Even before the marshmallow update. It can last more than that but it's really how much you use your phone. Heavy usage I get about 3 hrs on screen time but if its moderate or light use can get up to 4/4.5 hrs on screen time. Which is pretty good.
Hey guys I'd like to know if you can help me fix my battery drain problems. All the battery stats are attached.
I have the N920W8 Canadian Note 5 on KhonLoi Grace V3 ROM. I'm using AOD and the standby time is about 8%/hr. Usually its around 4% which is ok but xan be better.
I have Greenify, Amplify, betterbatterystats, forcedoze installed on the rom. I have LTE GPS and BLUETOOTH on for my Gear S2.
I see that my phone is awaken even though the screen is off. If anyone could tell me how to fix the problem it would be great.
Im thinking on going back to stock and simply root it but I like AOD on the phone though and its not suppose to drain this much battery. Also accubattery says that my battery capacity is at 2100mah/3000mah is this accurate, should I get my battery replaced? Let me know guys thanks!!
How to fix battery idle drain on poco f1 and i'm using miui 11.0.9 and ngk kernel(1.5.5) .And SOT 5-6h .Or sleeping time battery drain so bad 6-7h sleep and battery used 15-20% .

plz HELP me ...
How is your SoT so low? Unless you game a lot it should be significantly higher. In crDroid 6.9 with stock OD kernel I am averaging 10 hours. No gaming other than casual ones. Airtel isn't good in my locality. Previously with Idea it was around the 12 hr mark. I have used NGK for 2-3 months and it also used to deliver good battery backup.
Idle drain has been an issue but nothing as high as yours. Normally 0.5-0.8%/h. With NGK it was a bit lower IIRC. I am using BitGApps which enables Battery Optimization for Google Play Services. Helps in idle drain a bit.
Install Better Battery Stats and check if any rogue apps are keeping the device awake unnecessarily. Recently I went through a 3 week period where idle drain was really bad, 3-4%/h. After blocking a bunch of wakelocks like qcom-step-chg, IPA RM_12 etc it was back to normal.

How did you blocked wakelocks?

I am using Smartpack Kernel manager for the same. But the kernel must also have support for blocking wakelocks built-in.
There's also a Magisk module Wakeblocker? which should work independently of kernel support but I didn't have any success with it.
