FireOS FreeTime on non-Kindle devices - Fire HD 6 and 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed Amazon FreeTime from the Google Play store and found out it is NOT the same as the one contained on the Kindles themselves. Looking at the app itself, it does not have a built in search, nor does it have ANY of the curated apps, just the books, videos and websites. I am trying to install the app from a Kindle Fire Kids to an LG G Pad X 10.1.
Kids Kindle Fire 7 (Fire 5th Generation) running Fire OS 5.6.0.1.
LG G Pad X 10.1 running Android 6.0
I have backed up the APK with ES Explorer and moved it over to the LG. When I tried to install it it fails with "App not installed".
I purchased APK Editor Pro and tried to modify the name to match the current Google Play Store version name:
Amazon Kindle version:
FreeTimeApp-fireos_v3.12_Build-1.0.200441.0.13831 (312013310)
Google Play Store version:
FreeTimeApp-aosp_v3.13_Build-1.0.200994.0.17628 (213399010)
This did not change anything and I still receive the error.
Two things I did notice though is that the original Google Play version has a file size of 37.4 MB (while the Amazon version is 13.62 MB - this may be a part of the problem) and shows
Minimum API (21)
Target API (19)
After editing the Amazon apk with APK Editor, even though I have modified the version it shows 3/3 (Cupcake). I have tried to figure it out in Android Studio, but have no idea how to use it.
Any help is very much appreciated.

[App][Mod] Lenova Appstore

LENOVA Appstore for Nook Color
Hello again everyone! I havent updated or posted anything new in a while so I thought I might go back and work on some old ideas that I never completed.
I recently was able to aquire the .apk of the Lenova appstore for their Android and Thinkpad tablets. I modified a couple of it's device scan scripts so it will not check your device. The applications download in a .apk format and are automatically deleted after installation. All the applications I have tried work flawlessly and resize to fit the 7" Display.
The only thing for you to do is download the attached .apk and transfer it to your device, install, and enjoy! You will also need to create a Lenova account when you enter the appstore.
Hope you guys enjoy!
It's fantastic, thanks man.
Can someone explain the benefits from having this? What extra does this offer?
Produced by NookColor at ICS 4.0.4
Having the Lenova appstore is just like having a Google Play alternitive, with one exception. It is made for the Lenova tablets and thinkpads so it has very tablet oriented applications. It also has a fully available apps and not a compatibility check of your device so there is a much broader selection. Let me know if you want any more information or anything else.
Thanks can't wait to test this out!

Lenova appstore got a recent update and it looks and fits better on the nook color!

Installation says complete, but the file never appears on FireTv stick

*Important note, I am a complete amateur, though I have accomplished much with the help of google and discussionboards.
Basically, I sideloaded AGK Fire onto a 2013 Amazon Fire HDX. I attempted to sideload both ES File Explorer as well as an APK for OUYA called Hidden in Plain Sight (which were already sideloaded and running on my fire tablet). My main goal is to play my Ouya Games on My FireStick (Which I'm not sure it is even compatible). However I see that ES File Explorer has worked for some but that also has not worked for me.
I open up the AGK Fire app, put in the IP address, have turned on both the developer options, and have turned off any parent controls. AGK Fire states the the files complete downloading, but then when i go into the settings and manage applications, the new apps do not appear.
Any recommendations? (fingers crossed!)
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum.

Google Play On Acer 735 Chromebook

I just purchased an Acer 735 Chromebook.
I am trying to get Google Play to load (and it does) {I am running the beta channel latest chrome OS}. My problem is that when I try to download/install an app from the Google Play store it never completes, I noted that there is a notation that says that I have no devices associated with my gmail account (or something like that). Can anyone tell me what the problem is and is there any way to get google play store apps to install on my chromebook? My information shows this chromebook to be an Acer 735 Series (735-C7Y9) model N15Q10.
Thank You,

P7s viewer for Android 9

Hello everybody,
I am looking for an app to view p7s files on my Nokia 8 with Android 9.
So far each app was compatible with Windows or OS.
Does anybody know apps for Android, too? Thanks.
Best regards,
Arye
Before today I never knew what s .p7s file is. But a quick search revealed that it is an email message that includes a digital signature. I have come across this website: "https://techspirited.com/how-to-open-p7s-files" which explains how to open it on android and mentions an app named: "X509Tools".
I could not find such an app on the Play Store, only on other Android website which will require sideloading, however I did find an app on the Play Store which mentions that is can open such files, R2Mail2.
R2Mail2 link: "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.rundquadrat.android.r2mail2&hl=en"
Try that, and see if it maybe works, I have never used it before though.

Anyone got the Disney+ App running on a device outside of the Netherlands?

Disney+ is on a free trial in the Netherlands right now, so just for fun and curiosity really, I grabbed the APK for the Disney+ app here...
https://apk.support/app/com.disney.disneyplus#per_area
and installed it on my Note 9, and fired up my VPN, connected to the Netherlands and attempted to launch the app.
I guess it must be doing some kind of region check on my phone at launch as it just stops. Visiting the Disney+ app page on the google play store via VPN informs me that the app is incompatible with all my devices even though I have two Nvidia Shields and my Samsung Note 9 as well as a few other android devices - it's definitely running on Shields in the Netherlands as they have been shown on various web sites.
Anyone know of any jiggery pokery we can try to get this thing running on our None-Netherland devices - because we can :silly::silly::silly:
Thanks.

The app you linked isn't complete. It's legit (I checked the SHA-1 hash against an installed, working version of the apk and the one from Google Play are the same).
If you use a VPN provider with an IP based out of the Netherlands & Aurora, you should be able to properly install the app on a rooted device.
SAI (which Aurora uses) allows you to install split/bundled apk or extract complete bundles to archive for later.
You can't login though. The app will give you an error if you try to proceed with signing up or try to enter an existing login. I don't know much more beyond that.

Yeah seems like Disney has their uber A-Game engaged for VPN blocking too - probably why they launched the beta in a smaller market, test the load balancing and the gate-keeping all at once.
get it to work with anything?
Did you check any other server? if its not working then you should go for another option like PureVPN or Cyberghost. They both are working fine.

How to install Disney + using the SAI app.
Hello everyone,
I searched for this but ddidn't find it. So forgive me if I missed it. Here is a link to get Disney + to work on a rooted android device.
https://youtu.be/SOdkuy9dZGs[/url]
There is a link in his description to all the files to download plus the SAI app. It was very easy and I've already watched two episodes of Star Wars Rebels so the app definately works. the Disney + app is split into three pieces then reassembled by SAI.
Good luck!!
?
This worked for me on my rooted Huawei Honor Note 8 !
I had Disney Plus on all my other devices but I could not get it on my rooted Huawei honor note 8 and now it works perfectly!
Thank you ?
