Ok so I want to flash Miui PRO but I'm on a treble twrp.

If you are using akabhishek's treble TWRP, it also support standard ROMs, so you shouldn't need to change TWRP. I think you just need to wipe data, etc., and the vendor partition, and then flash your miui ROM. But you might also need to flash lazyflasher after flashing the miui ROM, otherwise, miui may not boot.
I heard that I can't flash Miui based roms using the treble twrp..

So i am on the new miui using the oficial flash thing (unlocked bootloader oficialy).
The thing is i always wanted to get root and use a kernel on xda here that gives more available memory and solves some of the heating problems when charging (but i know need TWRP ofc) .
So i went to here and checked a few guides however there are many twrp's versions some of them i can't flash miui oficial roms, some of them i need installl boot.img every single time or when i want to restore backup is not just select the backup and done, i need to do something else (is a bit confusing)... so instead i decided to ask you guys directly
The question is:
- If i wanted to use oficial miui but have root and install a kernel and in future just flash the new miui rom again without any stress (just twrp -> flash-> select rom and gapps and done), no boot.img bull****, no flash another twrp etc is it possible??
(before this phone i had moto g(1st gen) and was easy as to put ONE twrp and then would be always flash rom + gapps every single time, no boot.img no firmware, worked for CM12, 12.1 and 13)
Install Alka recovery and back up all the partitions before doing anything.

Although I haven't tried it personally, the TWRP explanation guide here says the Cofface TWRP (linked on that page) automatically patches the boot.img when you flash a new ROM, which I believe solves your problem.

Hi,
I try to installiert the newest beta, I install cofface twrp and alka twrp. I get an error if I want to install a Miui with one of this Twrp's.
I read much threads Form Here but I cant find any reason for this. I'm now on Cm13.
best regards
Try to format each of your partition like system, data, cache & dalvik/art cache. I do this yesterday and sucsess to flash miui eu rom from cm.
Good luck.
The reason is recent marshmallow roms are encrypted
Unless you patch your boot.img or rollback to android 5.1.1 base again, you cant flash via TWRP
I do that every time when I flash anything with TWRP, which TWRP have you used?
How can I patch the boot.img? If I rollback to global miui, I have to reboot to edl mode via adb and use miflash?
If you are not using Cofface Twrp, then flash patched boot image, i recommend use official TWRP, just flash the recovery rom and then flash "lazyflasher.zip" google it.
I am on latest global with 5.1 base. If I'll flash the beta (6.0.1 base) and then the lazyflasher, I think I would not be encrypted but in a locked bootloader. Am I rt?
Can i flash treble twrp via official twrp app (select img file, twrp update)?
Will magisk and other root app work same as before ?
How to uninstall treble? (revert back to stock condition)
Ye u can flash treble twrp from normal twrp.
You will have to find the magisk treble and flash it.It will work normally, no issues from me.
You don't unistall treble just the twrp, wipe vendor before doing so if u want to install normal roms again.(unless you mean the A/B partitioning and treble)
I have Kate with miui 10.2 global stable and I want to flash mokee rom for kenzo on it what steps should I follow after unlock bootloader and flash zcx twrp and what about frimware does the kenzo ROM will make problems with network for Kate ? should I flash the frimware first after wipe data and system then flash the ROM then gapps ?

Make sure u come from latest miui 10 stable
If u unlocked boot loader unofficially and zcx
then first replace ur zcx twrp with latest twrp. Then u can flash custom roms and gapps.
U dont need any firmware Before flashing custom roms.
Just format data
Wipe data reset
Flash rom and gapps.
Reboot.
If u try to flash those 50mb size miui firmware zip using twrp then u will brick ur phone coz u r unofficially unlocked. So get rid of that firmware fever from ur head. U dont need any.
In case if u feel like going again back to miui global rom then put ur phone in EDL mode and flash kate fastboot global rom using computer and miflashtool.

Better use official TWRP, Orangefox or Redwolf recovery
No need to flash firmware as you're already on MIUI 10.2
Just wipe system, data, also format data & proceed to flash the rom
Thanks for the help guys

Can you help me? This is for Kenzo
I had softbricked? my phone. Went through the process of installing the MIUI 10 fastboot rom but it required activation which I can't do as I forgot my login details (i bought this phone years ago)
Yesterday I managed to unlock unofficially using this method
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66379587&postcount=3
Didn't install 7.1.8, just 7.2.5, followed the instructions, was able to enable oem-unlock and usb debugging, confirmed bootloader was unlocked
Flashed the latest twrp, tried zwcx, lastly tried the latest orangefox
Tried flashing AOSPextended nougat and viper os nougat with various recoveries but they were stuck at the logo for the corresponding roms
I am not sure...do I have to do anything with that boot.img patcher? And if so, when would I flash it?
Went through the same steps again. Same result. All roms get stuck on the custom boot animation
edit:nevermind, flashed that unlocked bootloader rn3_unlockonly in miflash and it booted up

There is an updated guide to unlock unofficially on MIUI 9 with new bootloader.
The problem was you unlocked on older version of MIUI.
To recover password try to visit mi cloud & check if you can do something or forget & use custom roms as there's nothing good about MIUI.

Ah, yes I didn't know that the process was different now. I was just trying to do the Mi Unlock thing in order to flash these custom roms, not gonna use MIUI.

Hello. I have an unlocked G8342, and I'm trying installing phh's GSI. But after I flashed the system image, I cannot boot my phone. It just shows "SONY" and then rebooted automatically.
I tried flashing the SW_binaries_for_Xperia_Android_9.0_2.3.2_v5_yoshino.img or SW_binaries_for_Xperia_Android_8.1.6.4_r1_v16_yoshino.img.
Before I unlock my phone, I've upgraded to the official Pie release. But what I'm installing is Oreo. Does this matter? Or what should I do in order to make it work?

if u dont backup ur TA partition before unlocking your bootloader, camera will not work on oreo gsi roms. I recommend u can try pie gsi roms, but it has worse camera quality and stability issues..

what gsi rom are you trying to flash? Do you have TWRP installed? I have a SOV36 (Japan AU version) and it boots with most of all gsi's. Currently using omni rom.
Here is my steps for flashing.
1. boot into twrp
2. goto wipe and factory reset (don't wipe data, system or cache just factory reset)
3. flash img
3a. optional: goto wipe; repair and resize system (if you want gapps)
4. flash gapps
5. flash magisk if you want root
6. reboot
Hope this helps

I have tried the Phh's latest 9.0 GSI and RR's GSI and ERFAN's Q GSI and the official q GSI from Google.
None of them work, all stuck on the Sony boot logo

latest RR gsi did not work for me either but roms like omni, bootleggers, lineage 16 all booted on my SOV 36
Flash the lastest pie ftf, then follow sinkoo1979, instructions, also be sure you only flash ARM64-A versions.. I know Omni, Bliss and bootleggers work with imo bootleggers was the nicest but the unofficial one here has ceased development.. Use open camera for your pics...
The Roms are a hit or miss...make and keep a twrp backup handy...
