Pin code unlock every 3 days... - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Every 3-4 days phone ask pin code to unlock screen. No fingerprints unlock like the phone was reset but it didn't...

That's totally normal. Additional security. Happens on my Lenovo Tablet. Happened on my Pixel 2 XL. No reason to worry.

Guess this is something to do with Samsung. My LG V20 did not do this, nor did my Nexus 6P, or my HTC One M8.

It should be "built" in in every android phone.

Its definetely no samsung "problem".

Galaxy S3 - Your Opinion After Frequent Usage

So, a few weeks back my Mozart started presenting problems... In it's defence, i've had that device for approx. 2 years and if you see the state it is in right now, you'd be surprised it survived this long!
Now I love Windows Phone and my next device would have been Windows Phone 8 but alas, I need a stable phone with me always and thus can't rely on the Mozart in its current state. So I sold off my iPad 2 and went ahead and bought a HTC One X and initially loved it but grew to dislike it... mainly due to random crashes (probably a device manufacturing defect) but most importantly due to the poor battery life.
So I sold off the One X and purchased a iPhone 4S however after a few days of usage, some microphone issues emerged. I got it replaced and soon enough, the issues surfaced on the new device. Checked online and a huge number of users are apparently facing issues with iPhone 4s as well... so then returned that and got a iPhone 4...
But alas! Websites on Safari were a pain at times, cellular data would kill itself during a call though it didn't happen always, and some other stuff as well... So now i've sold it off and am in the market for a new phone.
Today i returned my cousin's HTC One X and got a Galaxy S3... have been testing it out and am loving it so far... Especially the battery! Charged it up to 67%... have had Exchange Sync (Push) turned on, two Gmail accounts on 15 minutes sync, Facebook and twitter push, and made at-least over a dozen calls some of them going over 10-15 minutes... and a game here or there plus an hour at the gym with continuous music playback and referring to a workout app... and in 3 hours time, it's battery has gone from 67% to 49%!!!
If it were my One X, it would have pretty much died by now or come close to it. Even the iPhone 4 didn't produce such good battery results for me - but close nonetheless.
So now i'm considering to the store tomorrow and purchasing a S3 for myself! Wanted to see if anyone here could provide any feedback on usage based on a couple of weeks or days of usage of the device? Battery life? any crashes? Anything else?
UPDATE
Forgot to ask another important question... Now forgive my ignorance, but I am kind of new to Android - although I did use XDA numerous times to flash my brother's X10 + Arc and Sis-in-law's HTC Chacha... when i purchased this phone today for my cousin, it was a packed box. On opening and starting it up, it asked for a PIN code to activate. Which i Imagine meant that it was carrier locked?
The shop owner disappeared for 10 minutes and returned back with the phone unlocked and ready to use. He said he got it unlocked by using a proper code and all... and to be on the safe side, as soon as i got home, i did a hard reset and it didn't lock out on me. However, I do notice "ClockworkMod" installed on the S3 and also the state of the device in settings is set to Modified. What does this mean? Any cause for concern?
Regards!

The shop owner probably rooted your device in order to unlock the phone (rooting voids your warranty), do you see a superuser app in the app drawer?
If so, install Triangle Away from the playstore or Chainfires thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114 and reset the flashcounter. Than go back to the shop and let him reflash the rom to restore warranty.

If its just warranty... then not worried about that. As i purchased this one for my cousin without the warranty - Rs. 5000 cheaper (approx. $50).
But thanks though, this is good to know... 'coz I was planning on purchasing mine with the warranty!
Battery life is a lot better than the one x..... the s3 should easily be able to get you through a day of heavy use and have juice to spare.

hello Divyam123, it's not possible to unlock your phone with your friends WhatsApp account. He must be using some another trick which you didn't see.

How to bypass pattern/lock

Hi guys!
I just bought mate 10 pro 3 days ago and I made something stupid.
I setup my fingerprint and made L pattern. I'm pretty sure it was L draw.
Now first time I reboot my phone and my fingerprint doesn't work. Only accept pattern but I can't find the right one.
I try find my phone and restore but technically my phone is off so doesn't work.
Is there any way to fix it?
Or should I do hard reset?

LG G5 doesn't boot with replacement display

Hi guys,
I'm stuck with my LG G5 (H850) not booting after replacing the display. I bought the phone in used condition quite a while ago, and at some point the display cracked and the touchscreen did (and does) almost not work since it is hyper-sensitive now. I figured it stays somewhat usable after putting the phone into the freezer for 2-3 minutes. (apparently heat makes it worse).
So the thing now is, I bought a new phone at some point, but thought the LG still deserves a fix since i liked it for many reasons. I bought a pretty cheap display replacement (didn't want to invest too much money anymore). It was explicitly offered for H850. After replacing it, the phone wouldn't boot anymore. I just saw the LG splash coming and going in a 5s bootloop.
So I thought "maybe a hardware replacement requires to unlock the bootloader..." I unlocked the bootloader with the official guide (which was not easy as it required me to use the old crappy display to allow OEM unlock in android) and installed TWRP at the same time, cuz i thought it could prove helpful for other potential modifications.
After switching to the new display again, the phone would boot either OS and TWRP perfectly. The new display was also looking good. In the boot process it started showing "your device can not be checked for corruption", but that seems to be normal.
I thought "nice job" and put it down for a few weeks. Trying to start the phone again yesterday, I ran into the same issue again, bootloop. After performing a hard reset, which should bring you to TWRP, it's just the bootloop again. Going back to the old display: Booting fine but hardly usable. New display: Booting fine! Waiting for one night: No chance.
I think that's pretty weird. It's not that it doesn't work at all. I'm not an expert (which is why I'm asking you), but it seems the bootloader blocks booting with the new diplay, but only after having it switched off for a while. Once the phone has started, everything is fine.
What adds up to this story is that the phone wasn't perfectly fine beforehand. The old display (before cracking) provoked regular reboots and sometimes "your device is corrupted" would show up in that case. The reboots were gone - at least in a two days test i performed after getting the new display work.
On the other hand, there is something wrong with the basic capabilities of the bootloader with the new display: Fastboot mode works fine, but download mode only appears for a moment before rebooting.
Do you see any solution to this story? Anything I'm missing? I just grew up in a tradition of repairing things, but if you say that's a waste of time, I'm almost at the point of giving up
Thanks!

Its not your new display, more likely motherboard fault.

All my android phones at home , restart every hour and goes to factory default.

Two Mi A1, 1 note 9 pro, 1 Lg stylus, 1 Samsung at.

That's scary, your place must be haunted lol.
That's really uncommon and you tried every idea I had in mind. Sorry to say, but I can do nothing for you. Hope this message will cheer you up anyway,
Have a good day

IDK, do you buy them from the same person each time? You may wanna consider buying them elsewhere, or try to get refunded and buy another one. That's really curious...

All are from different shops, online , some of them are 3 yrs old and two new from different shops.
@Raghujadhav20
I think it's not the Android OS but the buttons. Order a back cover which basically has slots for the buttons. Thus probability of them being pressed when in jeans pocket - starting a Facatory Reset - should get reduced dramatically.

Just a thought, not a solution. Did you try without Sim, wifi, Google account, Location/scanning, BT everything off at the same time? If not, try it.
