Hi guys!
I just bought mate 10 pro 3 days ago and I made something stupid.
I setup my fingerprint and made L pattern. I'm pretty sure it was L draw.
Now first time I reboot my phone and my fingerprint doesn't work. Only accept pattern but I can't find the right one.
I try find my phone and restore but technically my phone is off so doesn't work.
Is there any way to fix it?
Or should I do hard reset?

Dear Guru, Developers and Users
Today I encountered a strange problem.
I've been using my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (with a lock PIN) for about a year.
I didn't change the PIN and it was the same PIN all the time.
However, as of this morning, when I woke up, I used it to check emails.
After that I went shower and when I came back and tried to unlock it, it said incorrect PIN.
I did type in correct same PIN that has been using for a year.
But, now it keeps on saying it's wrong.
I really don't know what else to do other than hard reset and I don't really understand why.
So, please kindly help me and share your experiences/knowledge to overcome this.
:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
PS: I installed a new keyboard a week ago. Is that the cause? But, it was working fine until now.
Thanks!

It saved my life. luckily, I've linked my Samsung account before with the device.
Hello everyone!
I just bought a real oldie - a HTC Shift X9500.
I owned one back in the days, and still remember it fondly. So I jumped at the bargain of getting another one for just 30 euros.
Unfortunately, this one's physical keyboard has some keys which don't work.
I thought I might reset it to factory settings, in the hope of solving the problem.
But!
Fn+ F3 asks me to confirm (Y/N) if I want the system reset - and the Y and N keys are among the ones which don't work! So it's just sitting there doing nothing, because I can't confirm the operation.
Is there any alternative way of resetting it - like running a command line or something , avoiding the use of the keyboard for confirmation?
Thanks!
I'm not too familiar with this phone, but if the physical keys don't work then it's usually due to them being physically broken. It's a 9 year old phone after all, so I wouldn't really get my hopes up.
So i got this situation going on, I hope someone here can help me.
My mom recently passed away. She owned a Huawei Mate 10 Pro and we want to get all the pictures from that phone. The problem is, that the screen is locked with a PIN and we have no idea what the PIN is. (We already tried everything that made sense to us)
Does someone here have any idea if it's still possible to get the data from this phone, and how I can do that?
Thanks in advance!
I don't know what happened but I have lost ability to iris unlock and use Samsung Pay without setting secure lock screen since a couple of days ago. Not sure why, tried restarting and cleaning cache memory in S. Pay and S Pass but to no avail. Anyone experiencing same thing? Is there any workaround? To bad if this is not fixable since I used this alot.. I am not rooted and worked like charm untill few days ago. Any help would be appreciated.
Correct me if I'm wrong, i think is Samsung Pay updated which required u do that now.

@koolboyztn is correct Samsung changed it and you're required to have a secure lock screen because it would be rather easy for someone to steal your information from your phone if you ever lose it or if someone steals it.. The way it's setup now they won't be able to get any information from it..
Hello guys,
I'm new to Huawey devices, and i'm beginning to understand my Honor 10. My previous phone was a Oneplus 5T.
The thing is i'm having a major issue with my Honor. The fingerprint reader doesn't work AT ALL.
If i try to activate fingerprint security in settings, i get stuck on the screen "enroll fingerprint". When I press my finger on the sensor, nothing happens. No reading, no vibrating feedback.
I've searched to find some workaround, but I didn't find anything helpful.
Does anyone know how to solve that?
Soooo factory reset.
If problem still standing - warranty repair.

And so I did. A few factory resets. And updates as well.
I'm in Brazil, where Huawey doesn't have official stores or warranty service.
I think I'm just f***. :crying:
The Honor 10 fingerprint scanner is connected to the screen. If you want to solve the problem with the fingerprint scanner, you can only replace the new screen. You can watch this Honro 10 replacement screen repair video to learn to fix your phone! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLKX4-Dt4mw&t=8s
