This is for the North American/English version of the Amazfit Pace.
I am expecting to receive the watch in the next two weeks and I am unsure if I should root/unlock bootloader and flash the 1.2.37 PACEfied ROM or entrust Huami into fixing all the kinks with their (hopefully) regular updates. This is assuming that updating to the latest version locks the bootloader irreversibly as I'm currently informed.
What benefits does PACEfied offer that aren't available to 1.3.3a at the moment?

updated GPS firmware, auto-pause on activities, Mi Home support, music control from your watch ( early beta stage ).
regarding your concern for the irreversible process of the unlock, you CAN unlock the watch, with the new bootloader.

Great comparison! GPS is important to me but aside from that everything else seems trivial. I'd be nice to have access to more watch faces though.

Proper music shuffle (and also resume where you left off) was the reason I switched. Hearing the same songs in the same "random" order every time was driving me crazy!

I have a bip, and see that when you record an activity (such as walking, running...), it records an altitude profile, too. I am not sure if this is done via the barometer that the device allegedly has, or via the GPS profile and the altitude information in Google maps, though. Other than that, there is no indication how the barometer can be used.
I don't know if it is the same in the bip but in the pace, when you are in the compass, if you touch the screen it shows latitude, longitude, altitude and air pressure.
No, on the bip the compass is only a compass - nothing extra happens when you touch the screen.

Actually in the new version you have all those options when you swipe left or right (I can't remember which direction) in the compass menu

Which "new version" do you mean? I have 3.1.5 and firmware 0.0.9.40, and there are no such options. Are you sure you're talking about the bip?

But unfortunately, a big NO.
It still doesn't retain the heart rate data after "HR continuous" mode is being disabled on the watch.
This means there's no problem in communication between watch and app, but just the app's HR data doesn't get synchronized with Amazfit account!
Still a piece of ****.

Not sure if or when the international version will come through.
Only the average values, like the "resting" value, isn't shown once you disable continuous HR. You can either take a screenshot or use the profile to set your custom HR zones. Why would you want these values for anyway? The manual HR readings are not used to calculate the resting value, etc.

And you can always factory reset, uninstall Amazfit Watch app and downgrade (unless you are on iOS and don't have a backup copy of the app on iTunes)... Old versions available from APKMirror.com.

I have another question. It's true that if release Amazfit app update in the same days must be new update for watch, for example Verge or these updates is not depends each other and can release in different time at all, I mean different months and ect? A little bit confused, because some updates for app and Verge was released in the same time almost.

1) Don't know if you are using Pace or other watch.
For Pace, once ontinuous HR is disabled, even the data that was showing properly on Amazfit app will disappear as well. This is the problem.
2) Of course these values are useful, it's the historical HR of the recorded period, which one could use for analysis. If such values are not important, why do they have continuous heart rate feature in the first place?
3) Yes, of course factory reset of the watch, and total un- and re-install of app were the first problem solving approach.

Probably my question had to be: where did you found that this is for Verge (these updates)? I know how look Verge, I have one. But in posted links there is no any information for which models are updates, that's why I asked, I couldn't find in posted sources any traces about Pace, Verge or Stratos. But i'm not from China, Google translating sometime incorrect too
UPDATED: Already found answers into questions which I asked here:
1.0.5.0 update is for Amazfit Stratos 2s watch (weibo information)
3.0.40.0 update is for Amazfit Verge 2 watch (weibo information)
About new updates for Pace, Verge there is no information yet. I can't add any screenshot yet, so I can't show all information. But by descriptions and some photo in weibo information is correct.
Amazfit 3.3.0 is released today. Still no HR fix!

Sometime I thinking that in forums must be filter from dumb people. Others creating threads with answers in questions, but somehow coming couple of users which again asking the same questions... running latest App version and latest international ROM. GPS fix seems slightly slower than my Pace, but worked fine every time.
GPS is really sucks.

I have amazfit gtr for 5 days. All updates are done. I was running twice (for 60 minutes together), but I did not have any GPS signal. I was running in Bratislava (capital of Slovakia).
Any idea, how to fix it ?

Before running wait for fix. It can take more minutes first time.
I have no problem in Bratislava.
I can get a GPS fix but the tracking is terrible. Maps, at times, show me running on top of houses and not on the road where I actually am. I want to like the GTR but there are some bugs to work through. Hopefully they are aware and can fix these issues in a firmware update.

A-GPS has been updated wight after first start. (can I update it again ? how ?)
I waited for gps signal for several minutes and then: "GPS location failure. Please try again in open space" -> I was standing in open space.

same problem - GPS took minutes not compareable to the amazfit pace => and on my way back 40 minutes 13km drive no GPS at all in Austria

Any news of the update?
I just got the GTR and have the same issue with inaccurate GPS data.
I also had the GPS fix problem, but reinstalling a previous firmware through notify and fitness app and then updating the watch through the amazefit app fixed this.
Is there any news about fixing the accuracy issues?
It looks like Spiderman rode my bike from building to building. Even in an open area the accuracy sucks

i'm facing a strange issue since 4.2.3 firmware (same with 4.2.4):
the workout report on the wtch is good (altitude is ok) but on amazfit app it begins at -20000m for 20/30 secondes then a drop to the good one after.
check my picture it is unreadable.
sometime the preview is good but if i click on + to get details i have the same begin at -20000m for 20s.
do you have the same?
i also noticed during a workout if the watch is unlocked i have an altitude (230m for ex) then when the screen locks i have another one (240m) then if i unlock the watch again it's back to 230m... there's always differences depending on the screen state
the report on the watch is good. Only in amazApp seems faulty (for Altitude) all other logs are OK but i can not decripte my workout altitude...

yeah but there's another bug: on your watch the elevation is begin at 16m up to 24m and ends at 2...
on strava/endomondo/amazapp the highest is 2m and lowest -17m ?????? and you begin at -5 m?
i have the exactly the same differences between wath the watch says and what is synched.... (anyway data of the watch are always good)

Yes I didn't pay attention to the actual numbers. There is indeed a constant shift in the exported values. The height values from the watch look more correct as there is only one area below sea level in town and I didn't run there

I have exactly the same bug on my Stratos 3. I have been able to compare and :
> Datas shown on the watch during the activity are OK
> Datas shown on the watch report (after activity) are OK
> Datas on the Amazfit App are wrong : Elevation is different from the watch (usually lower than the reality, compared with a "level line map"), and I have the "-20000" problem on the graph
> Datas exported to Strava are wrong
I send almost everyday the reports to Amazfit using the app, I hope they will fix this very annoying issue !
I need to try in the Ultra Mode to be able to compare. However accuracy of the GPS will be much less (1 point per minute vs 1 point per second using normal mode)

Thanks Winni21, however I haven't unlocked Bootloader on my watch, and I'm a bit afraid to do so regarding the warranty. Nevertheless, this ROM looks much more complete than the one we have !
Are you thinking about trying to install it ?

Yes, the bug is still there as of now. Really annoying bug that exists for months.
