This is the only way for us to get Official Oreo ROM for Axon 7 .
(ZTE is in a very unfavorable situation and we as ZTE users we have become collateral damage.)

wouldn't it be prudent to wait until at least 1st of May? People who participated in the closed beta are still under an NDA. also, consider that a developer in our community has the files necessary for proper oreo implementation. there is no need to rush things, we will have oreo soon regardless of what zte decides to do with the update.

ZTE does not have the ability to decide anything at all.
Globally and locally
all official ZTE downoad links are removed.
ZTE banned from using US-based hardware or software
https://www.androidauthority.com/zte-ban-855747/
P.S.
We are ZTE phone users.
We want Official Oreo for our phones.
Someone, please upload this Oreo ROM.

You don't know that the US ban will affect in any way the Oreo release. We may or may not get it this month. As the previous user said, just wait until the end of the months at least. The beta testers are under NDA, and even with ZTE troubles, I doubt any individual would risk a law suit against a (still big firm)
Any way we have waited this long, we can wait a bit more, most likely the ROM is already on an advanced stage, I don't see why they would throw it all to the bin because of the US thing. Most likely they are on the last certification stage and Google approval for release anyway.. that's how I would interpret the end of the beta testing
I maybe wrong, but you asking for an upload will not get anything done... just wait mate, and if you really want Oreo on your phone go check the Devs section

rzarectha

Thanks for your positive energy.
I hope we will normally get the official Oreo update for our phones.
P.S.
If this does not happen.
Last hope remains that one of the participants of Oreo Test Group,
will help us with Oreo ROM upload.

Thats not fully true. Only the german website (and maybe others for the G version) have them down currently.
The us downloads are still online:
https://www.zteusa.com/axon-7#support
Also the german forums "zte key master" said its due to a technical issues that the downloads disappeared.
Although its weird since the downloads are just hidden by html code. You can read about it in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ax...ompanies-selling-to-zte-t3778509/post76266159
So im skeptical if its really a "technical issue".
But we gotta wait and see and hope for the best ;D

The rom is already compressed in edl. But without zte's permission it will not be published.

The Stock+ Oreo update has been certified before the US crap that unloaded on ZTE and it's due to release until the end of April. This is only true for A2017U on which the public beta has indeed ended. Release imminent.

Thx for this info, I hope we can rely on this. Have you been a Beta tester?

If the beta is over, the testers are still under NDA?

ZTE Oreo Beta program is over
I just won't release unless we know for sure we're not getting Oreo.
If we are, then it won't get leaked. If we aren't then I will leak it.

So, Sir this means A2017U users will surely get the Oreo update in April!!!

ZTE Oreo Beta program is over
A member of XDA has had the Oreo update for the A7 for a long time now.
They were going to release it as soon as ZTE released the official Oreo build.
I guess they are getting tired of waiting on ZTE.
I don't blame them if they do leak it early.
I don't think it'll get leaked early until they know for sure whether or not ZTE is going to release it.

Does anyone know if Oreo update for A2017G Axon 7 version was ever being prepared and tested at all? So far I've only seen information about A2017U.

The German ZTE website announced the update to Oreo would be coming in April. So yes, the A2017G is/was supposed to get Oreo too

Hello!
Personally im not waiting for any update as Touchwiz Marshmallow is crap compared to Touchwiz Lollipop, but you may be interested.
We had a Marshmallow thread and here is Nougat one.
In this thread you can discuss everything which is related to the new update.
According to Sammobile, the Galaxy J series will get Nougat update in July: https://www.sammobile.com/2017/02/1...laxy-note-5-in-turkey-by-the-end-of-february/ .
I dont know if Galaxy J5 (2015) will get the update, but J5 (2016) should get for sure. Who knows, maybe J5 2015 will get too.
You can contact Samsung Live Chat support (google it) and ask about it and then post screenshot here.
Also, there has been two screenshots of Samsung Live Chat posted by a guy in a Facebook group where Samsung says about J series.

Which Samsung Live Chat support did you contact?
I just contacted Samsung Australia (thats what showed up at the google search) lol.
This is what they have said:
They said that they have own resources. Maybe Samsung from other countries are not up to date? lol. I dont know.

I asked australia too. Maybe the employee I asked was dumb XD
They always say yes, even if it is not true ...
?
I also came across a post which said that j series would get a nougat update. And it said turkey would get it first but i think j series would be j(2016) as j(2015) has already gone through an upgradation and sammy couldn't care more!!
I asked Samsung Hong Kong Live Chat, and they said Marshmallow(not Nougat) may come to SM-J5108 in early March or later. They don't know about Nougat yet. :silly: how come my J5 2016 hasn't got android 6 :/

Meh.
The other models seems to have other date than the ones mentioned on Sammobile, which is trustworthy.
But we will see.
Anyway, Marshmallow on our J5 2015 is laggy and has bad ram management compared to Lollipop which is smoother, so im not expecting anything from a new update.
^True. I'm using 5.1.1 just because its amazingly fast, and I wish i could make a Note 5 rom based on 5.1.1. I'm working on it but probably not gonna happen

Marshmallow works well in 2016, maybe because of the reduced memory it has in 2015
Like Windows when installing a more modern version of the operating system, it takes up more RAM
From 2GB Ram, 1.2GB is always used in my phone

rom should be done in a couple of days since its really really easy to just debloat and put some easy stuff in it
+screenshots of debloating will come after a few mins

Yup... I tried debloating but maybe I deleted one or more core apps and it bootlooped so I didn't tried much but I noticed battery backup was great in touchwiz LP and no created a barebones version..
Currently I'm on RR 6.0.1 which has better backup than rr 5.1.1 but still less than Touchwiz LP..

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][7.1.2]One off roms - (maybe)final builds[i9100]

I wanted to share some nougat roms before oreo gets here. My aim is to compile a one-off build for several roms as a sort of final unofficial build before oreo is stable. There is no timetable for these builds; I will try to build a new one every day or so, but real life may mean they are delayed.
I plan on building the roms that have not had updates for a while. If you have any requests for Lineage-based roms let me know, but I'm not promising anything
Available in download link below:
- crDroid ( February 2018 security patch updated by linusdan here )
- XenonHD ( Latest update June 2018 security patch)
- Oct N ( January 2018 security patch; updated by linusdan here )
- Resurrection Remix (latest: here. Thanks to @linusdan )
Also dotOS is available here
Future builds(no promises) :
- AOSP Extended ( Updated by YoDevil here )
If any of these roms are updated officially I won't be building them
As they are Lineage-based, the kernel source is https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_samsung_smdk4412 unless otherwise stated.

Many thanks for giving us an update noppy22. I was wondering if Xenon would get another one. A couple of quick questions if I may.
1. Can this be dirty flashed as per an official version, i.e. no wipe other than standard dalvik etc?
2. Will I need to flash lineage su add on? Normally I don't lose root with xenon updates. I only ever flashed it on the first install.
Again, thanks for doing this, it's much appreciated.

I have built it unmodified, so you should be able to dirty flash. Depends on whether there have been any major changes in the source. If dirty flashing works, you shouldn't need to flash the addon
Good news...
how about DND, any updates ?
Hi @noppy22,
Great idea / plan / and effort, trying to bring all major roms to their last Nougat build before we venture into Oreo world one day. I appreciate you have you have other commitments in your normal life, that MUST take priority over any rom/request...
However, if you do get a moment, and thinking what other roms to bring up... I would be EVER SO grateful if you could look at Resurrection Remix, taking it from 5.8.4 to 5.8.5. I got a couple of S2's which I plan to give to my parents for Xmas. They are currently rocking 5.8.4, but would be nice to upgrade them to the latest before wrapping them up....
No rush, and only if you have time and resources to do so. They are running just fine as they are, but just to finish it off would be cool....
... and thank you for all the work you've done already, and by taking on this task of updating other roms. Much appreciated.
Thanks, Lister

I installed lineage os beta4 in my honor 7x (BND-AL10) like 1week ago using the same steps you guys mentioned in the openkirin site,I noticed 2major bugs-
1)the screen won't turn on when unlocked like for 10sec,and sometimes I need to reboot my device to unlock my phone that is irritating.
2)serious battery drain, false battery percentage, taking too much time to charge.
I have none of those issues on my BND -L24. Only issue I have found is Bluetooth skipping when streaming over WiFi.
Thanks for the development OpenKirin team! Any hope of portrait mode coming?
Android changed so much in the last oreo update ... you basically now need a stock recovery to have a custom rom ... wow
My question is : Does the rom flash a custom recovery with it ? say for installing Gapps or any flashable zip
EDIT : after some research i discovered that Gapps are included ... at least the play store is which is nice but i still have a question : can i flash this rom using fastboot method BUT having twrp instead of stock recovery ? just to be safe incase someting goes wrong during flash

I don't get why people always ask for VoLTE. If you need that feature enough to ask for it repeatedly, stick with the stock ROM. Since the developers didn't add it, there's obviously a reason they didn't do it, and bugging them for it won't change anything except annoying them more.

I am using stock rom. I crazily dislike the stock rom and wanting to change it, so i am looking for custom roms, and found out that none of the custom roms support volte. I didnt know whether it has been requested repeatedly or developler added it or not as i just started collecting information about root and custom rom stuff.
But your rude behaviour made me stop unlocking my bootloader, as it seems that i womt get any support from xda in future. Thanks for saving my warranty.
Does these AOSP based ROMs support VOLTE Video calling from default dialer?

What are you talking about? All the GSIs are supported on this device.
Time for the next build?
Any updates to OpenKirin builds? rocking AOSP build but prefer to land a dedicated honor build for 7x when it becomes stable.
How would subsequent updates work? Do they get pushed via OTA or would we have to check back and flash manually? Completely unfamiliar with Treble ROMs and how they work
ould anyone tell me the storage used for the RR build when fully flashed? Looking to ditch stock rom. thanks in advance

Just a quick update, that GSI is out of date and the one who made it is no longer an OpinKirin member. You will probably be better off trying out another Pie GSI in the Treble forums if that's what you're looking for.

Congratulations!!!! Amazing ROM!!!
Sent from my j5xnlte using XDA Labs
Hey, I finally tried this rom. And I will say this rom is perfect for me. I mean seriously, I can't believe that you don't have any pc. It's first time when I experienced this type of smoothness in any android q roms. All of the other roms are good but they are not very responsive , specially when you swipe across the notification panel.
Also , this rom has truly functional gesture navigation , which is my favourite I mean there are many other q roms out there ,for this device but none of them provide the back gesture , which is only present in your rom and as it is pixel experience then it is also clear that this rom feels much smoother than any other rom. And one more thing which I noticed is this rom booted in less than 3 minutes which is really quite empressive . Before the release of this rom , I was using aokp Oreo rom ported by franssisco funes because that rom is very smooth and stable than any other pie and q roms but now this rom is going to be my daily driver.
And once again thankyou very much for this great gift.

Hey dude! Thx a BUNCH for bringing PE (10.0) for this device, I have been testing out many ROMs and I'm download it and gonna test it today I hope, but my fear is it won't be getting more support and updates.
But as far as I could understand, it has a maintainer, right? So that means it will still be supported...?
And is there any chance of this build getting official support?

I am trying to make it more and more stable but i will not assure you of regular updates or making it official because right now i have only $30 credits left in my Google Cloud out of $300 credits of trial and i don't have a single dime in my credit card since from last one and half year, so therefore i apologize for not making it official and for regular updates?.

Oh dude, sorry if I "sounded" mean, I didn't mean it, I am Brazilian so I might type stuff in a bad way sometimes, but anyway, you're a genius just for having done it all without a PC, and I just started testing it and I really wanna use it as a daily driver, battery seems to be way better than in other ROMs, I just hope you don't drop support for it, that's what I meant. And I hope u get more money soon.

General Pixel 6 Beta March Update (QPR) Is Out (S3B1.220218.004)

QPR (S3B1.220218.004)
~180mb on my Pixel which was on 12L Beta 2
Is available OTA.
Will be posting back with any bugs found
Thanks Lughnasadh for clarifying this is not another 12L beta, just that 12L beta participants are rolled to the QPR program rather than stable

I am so confused now I though 12L beta ends with March. But yet another beta was pushed.
Will take time to understand this new pattern
Yeah it looks like this is not the final version. Mine is only 180 mb. The other pixels got over 300mb. But that could also be because some of the features are already on this device and now the other pixels are getting them.

Will take time to understand this new patterill tell you one thing for sure. I would rather 5hem push out a partial update and have my phone still work than them rush out a full update that they are unsure of and breaks important things like cell phone service.

This kind of explains it. Basically 3 channels right now.
1. 12L/12.1 (Stable)
2. QPR Betas (Quarterly Platform Releases/Feature Drops)
3. Developer Previews for Android 13

This is not good news as they can't fix issue with stable like being back with OnePlus

Can you explain this beta feature drop to me? I'm on 12 now with 2nd Feb update. Do I ignore this or what? And I totally agree, this is not good news for us. The left hand doesn't know what...

They are basically just adding another channel so those who want to can test the Feature Drops before they are released. I assume they will be releasing monthly QPR Betas until the next one is stable (June).

I went ahead and updated, has the March 5 security patches, so far no issues with WiFi.
Too early to say if battery is any worse/better (I got lucky with Feb 12L Beta 2, had no battery issues on that one)

Root working fine for me. Passing safetynet with USNF.
Well, this QPR is just 12.0 so we'll still have to wait & see if 12.1 fixes Mobile Network battery drain, etc?

Hoping for the random battery drain and Wi-Fi fix, was on regular 12 since only got my phone 2 weeks ago.
This is 12.1 June. It should include the 12L code. The labeling is just confusing as hell. Google has made this impossible to figure out.
The Android beta program is basically rolling release for Pixels now.
Yeah so now you can be on a beta build year round is what it looks like. But I was on beta 3 and got this new update this morning it was only 180mb. The other pixels got over 300mb. And my phone does not seem to have any of the feature drop stuff at all. I don't even have the new battery widget or the at a glance battery info. And it reports being on Android 12 not 12.1 so it seems like this new beta is just a baseline build. I do not see anything different at all. Not a thing. My cell.service.is.still atrocious at work but appears to be better at home so I don't know. I 5hinkni. Going to just unenroll in the beta program and see what they give me.
I'm on 12L beta 3 (S2B3.220205.007.A1), rooted bis Despair-kernel.
My phone shows the OTA, but installation aborts, cause I'm rooted.
--> How can I upgrade? Has anyone a non-rooted boot.img for the 12L beta 3 so I could flash it and take the OTA?
Any changelog available ?
