Hi Guys,
I am in UK and have a HK imported V30+ (Model: LG-H930DS). Today after the phone was updated to Oreo and branding changed to ThinQ, I no longer can unlock the phone from lockscreen using finger scanner. I have tried everything including factory reset and fresh phone setup.
Anyone any ideas please? Thanks
So, let me understand, it doesn't recognize your fingerprint or the scanner doesn't work anymore?

I reset my device as it was acting up, and not its stuck on gears and i don't know what to do.
I'm from UK and bought it on EE network. the device has since been unlocked and switched networks
If i restore from the EE rom i found, will this relock? and if it does, can i unlock it again, same code etc?
or is there something better i could do?

HI,
your phone WON'T lock again...ones unlocked it remains unlocked no matter what ROM you're going to flash.
Mine was too locked to AT&T and successfully tried different carrier and non-carrier ROMS.
Fixed
thanks for reply. didn't have much choice but to flash it anyway lol. So I did it before reply.
it fixed no problems, and managed to get amber update at the same time, not my intention, but i'm not complaining :good:
Cheers
Hi,
I was on MM and the fingerprint sensor worked some of the time and it wasn't reliable. I decided to use FlashTool to flash the same software to have a nice clean install, however, after I did that the fingerprint sensor stopped working. Every time I try to add a fingerprint, it says put my finger on the sensor and wait for the vibration, but it never worked.
Is there something I have to tick in FlashTool? I am using the right FTF.
Edit: In Service Test > Fingerprint Sensor, it appears to be fine. Also, DRM keys are intact if that matters. I was worried I wiped too many things when I flashed the FTF.
I've also tried adding fingerprints in Safe Mode as well as flashing FTF from a different region (but for the device). I am still unable to add fingerprints
Did you unlock bootloader? I had the same issue afterwards. Fortunately got a new one now, but I'm not unlocking for the moment.

I haven't unlocked the bootloader so my DRM keys and stuff are still here
Hi! First thing, sorry for my bad english
I have a LG V10 H960AR, and works pretty good, come with lollipop but in put mm using lg up and the kdz oficial
The problema is; when i try to unlock the bootloader from the page of lge developer say: My version cant be unlocked", i cant find some tutorial to do this, in Argentina is so expensive to buy it, ergo no much info available
Plus, the hard reset comand dont work, the fissically buttons work perfectly on android, but no do hard reset and no enter to recovery mode
Another plus; platform toos dont recognize it, <waiting device> (in lg g3 and g5 recognice perfectly)
I think the provider (Personal, Argentina) touch the system and "delete" or "freeze" this option..
Any sugestion to unlock the bootloader?
Thanks to read, and again sorry for my bad english- Ill be waiting for answers! :fingers-crossed:
Hi,
I'm sorry to say that your version of the V10 can't be unlocked. Unlocking the bootloader is currently only supported for H960A (European version) but not for phones purchased in France. Also (if I'm not mistaken) the T-Mobile (US) version has an unlocked bootloader. For other versions there is at the moment no possibility to unlock the bootloader.
Regarding the factory reset: have you tried the reset option from the settings (backup&reset/factory data reset)?
I'm just about to return my Samsung A52 5G after realizing that the bootloader seemingly can't be unlocked. I did a quick google and thought it was possible, but apparently the North American version is locked.
Now I'm looking at this phone as my next option. Can anyone confirm if the OEM Unlock button appears in the Canadian version of this phone? I'm buying from the OnePlus website, and it says that it is carrier-unlocked (not T-Mobile).
I'm not even planning to root the device or do anything advanced, but I want to have the option to install Lineage later on once I stop receiving OTA updates, assuming that the Lineage devs make a build for this phone.

I believe there's a method to unlock the T-Mobile US version. I asked OnePlus's support, and there was a separate set of instructions for T-Mobile, so they might be able to help you.
I ended up buying the carrier-unlocked phone in Canada, and everything worked out; the OEM Unlock button wasn't blocked or anything. You just need the fastboot and adb drivers for the device, as usual.
There's a way to get oem ungreyed, read aroud
Even OEM and SIM unlock are separate, you have to have SIM unlock first before enabling OEM unlock.
Units sold directly from OnePlus.com is SIM unlocked.
Greetings.
I recently bought an LG V60 from one of the ebay sellers which has the Dual Screen kit included. All seemed fine almost like new but the back panel has a small gap on the left side corner with a very small scuff on the AL frame near it. I want to send it to LGE for repair / diagnostic service want them to check about the battery status and overall condition. They are gonna charge $30 and Shipping is on me. They will re-flash the phone with latest Firmware as I was told by a rep in the live chat. I like this phone as It has a lot of tech which is useful like Dual Screen, 3.5mm jack, SD slot, 64Mp, Pen support, Bootloader Unlock, solid community knowledge and more.
So my questions are -
Once they Reflash the phone to latest OS, it is running Android 10 out of box (I did not even check the OS but it should be that and I did not unlock Bootloader yet) so it will be updated to Android 13. After doing that can I still unlock the bootloader and install all the nice things like Magisk + Rootchecker disabler + Downgrade the OS to 10 or 11 using LGUP and TMo official firmware ? I presume LG does not deploy ARB (Anti Rollback) from what I read in the past month but I want to check with community who is knowledgeable enough with this device.
Will that also re-lock the Carrier ? I have TMo sim only anyways but just curious if this will lock the SIM too.
Please share your experience with LGE or anything related to the subject.
Thank you very much for your time.

I would just download the latest firmware from the link below, and do a factory refurbish with LGUP.Just make sure the bootloader is relocked is the key.Sim unlock wil remain in place,as long as they send you the same device back with the same IMEI number.I assume when you get it back,it will have A13 and you may have to downgrade it to re-root etc. You're good, just do those main things!

Thank you very much for your reply.
Hm, so if I understand clearly. Basically I may need to downgrade the firmware to A10 and then re-root once I get back. And the SIM unlock might not be effected. That's good to hear.
As for the initial aspect you mentioned which I bolded, what do you mean by that ? Did you meant I should get the latest firmware and and just do a refurbish option from LGUP, may I please know what would that achieve because even if I flash / unlock bootloader the LG Service center will restore it to the factory settings and then perform a diagnostic, thus wiping everything on the phone perhaps they will even lock the bootloader.

I mean don't send it to LG with an unlocked bootloader. They can refuse to repair it,and consider it tampering.Plus, they can still charge you a diagnostics fee as well.LG stop supporting bootloader unlocking past the v40 series for developer purposes is my point. For the firmware,it won't matter what build you refurbish it with.Once you refurb it the root is gone anyway.Just relock it,and pick the kdz of your choice and refurbish.Box it and ship it!You'll be good!

Understood now.
Just a small clarification from my side. The phone is not yet bootloader unlocked (it's locked right now), it's just running Android 10 stock firmware. Just SIM unlocked by the ebay seller. I did not even use the phone yet.
And once they get the device they will re-flash it to Android 13 build and then do the diagnostics. I think I should be good ? As in no need to just Refurbish because it's already running bone stock A10.
Once I get it back I will downgrade to A10 and unlock bootloader ?
Thank you again for your insight.

You can go to A10,A11 or A12 once you get it back. That will be your choice from there. You can still root and unlock the bootloader with the current files that's been posted in the forums. It's stock, just factory clear it and send it on it's way. You're good!
Got it, thanks a lot.
I will send this phone to them directly as-is with the A10 and hope they can fix the issues with it.
