I don't have this device but, your situation requires Rooting your device in order to remove (aka Debloat) any system apps from a device.
You may be able to obtain some member guidance within one of the following threads that's specific to your device.

There's actually an extremely easy way to root mediapad that I don't see here much, just go to the playstore install antutu battery saver, run the app, should be a button call root tool, click it it will redirect to the download page, click and it instantly roots also has option to unroot if needed for warranty purposes ext.
before you start, make sure you have the latest hisiute "huawei USB drivers" installed
Sorry, here's direct link: to root tool

Hello,
So could you confire that it doesn't work to root Reno 2 or 2Z, in fact, bootloader locked for non asian version...
So after research
It is not possible to root this phone, at least for the moment and unlikely to be it one day outside of China.
To be able to root, the bootloader must be unlocked.
However, the various manipulations with adb fail, due to this manufacturer blocking. "adb reboot fastboot" or "adb reboot bootloader" reboot
Oppo is best known in China, where the community is stronger, but they are not geeks... Oppo is often compared to Apple..... and the unlock policy is not clear.
Last year, they agreed to unlock the Reno 1 phone, but with restrictions: log in Oppo account for 60 days, then wait 3 months mostly the phone sold by Chinese operator ...
that's the end of the story ... and that also explains the lack of interest of these phones on the XDA community.
It's a shame, because their equipment is excellent for their price.
For this phone, alternatives are : grant privileges to applications with adb, use VirtualXposed (for games), root becomes less essential these days and especially forbids / restricts new OTA updates...
Note that unlike other manufacturers, ColorOS does not impose applications or an uninstallable store.
The problem is the Android maintenance, already few reactive on security updates, Android 10 will be the last version deployed with impossibility to extend its life with custom Rom like LineageOS... it's shame
I'm not really into rooting or flashing custom roms (those days are behind me), but I found this website which claims that the CPH1907 model can be rooted.
https://www.getdroidtips.com/root-oppo-reno-2-cph1907/
Maybe someone could give it a try ?

Thats essentially a copy and paste they do with most phones. It still states that you need an unlocked bootloader
It is really a pity that this manufacturer copies Apple's philosophy!
The possible development on this terminal would be exceptional.
Today the 8/256 GB variant is on offer in Italy at an exceptional price!
270 euro
This limitation makes me desist from buying it
Jep exactly the same for me I would buy the phone, but knowing I won't be able to use root makes me hesitant.

I bought this phone because I saw that OPPO has put the firmware on their site for download. I was able to extract the bootloader and recompile it with Magisk. But I overlooked the fact that you can't boot the device into fastboot. I tried all possible combinations with the buttons and/or plugging the USB cable. Even tries via adb reboot you can see how the device seems to boot into the fasboot (some short Chinese output), but then the device boots normally. Seems like there is no way to unlock the bootloader.
You cannot deactivate a single preinstalled app on this phone. And almost every app that you start, such as the Download app, requires you to accept the terms and conditions. Without root or at least being able to disable some apps this phone is useless to me.
Hello all,
It seems that now there is a tool to unlock the OPPO Reno 2 phone see there..

It seems that it's for the Reno 2 F, not the normal Reno 2.
Maybe it can also work for the normal Reno 2, but I haven't tried. I only checked the information that is given.
it only unlocks network sadly

Rooting a P40 Pro+

I have bought a P40 Pro+, knowing that GMS was not installed and hoping either a) Petal Search would help me install the apps I use or; b) there might be a way to install GMS failing a).
Googlefier doesn't work for me as LZPlay doesn't work anymore.
This is a story leading to some questions. I am a software developer, but not with Android so please consider me a noob.
I have tried contacting Huawei tech support asking why they restrict the ability of users to root their phones whereas in the PC world when one buys a gaming PC, everything one can think of is opened up to help enthusisats 'tweek' their PC's to get the best/what they want out of them. As far as I am concerned, one has to be pretty keen to buy a P40 Pro+.
I received a stock dull response from Huawei.
So, having already been intimidated/spooked by whispers that rooting P40's was not possible, I decided to have a look myself.
It seems that rooting the P40 series is possible - although I have not gone as far as trying it. I started here which led to this link offering a possible method but I got caught in click bait whlist attempting to download the link at the bottom labelled 'AutoRoot Tools for Windows' - link deliberately not included. The link tempts one with a file called 'autoroottools3.0-win.zip' but downloading is conditional on completion of marketing nonsense. I fell for it, and backed away when I realised a) it wasn't going to let me have the file in the foreseeable future and; b) even if it did, my trust level of that file had disappeared through the floor.
Question #1: Which rooting process/apk/Winapp whiich can successfully root a P40 do you recommend?
Hypothetically speaking, the next problem is installing the base GMS services on a rooted phone. There does seem to be an process asscoiated with an old GMS apk file from 2018 which might work (yes, I know it's wishful thinking).
Question #2: What is the likelyhood of the above apk working? I am asking two questions here, one is a) will such an old apk install on EMUI 10 and; b) Will Google let me install in any case if it knows the phone is a Huawei P40?
Question #3: Is it worth trying OpenGApps?
Question #4: Has anyone tried the virtual machine VPhoneGaGa?
Question #5: Is it worth trying MicroG?
Question #6: What is the perceived likelyhood of Biden releasing the embargo on Huawei, opening up the possibility of Huawei phones being able to natively install GMS?
Have I missed anything else worth trying?
With my best regards, Paul.
With regards to thread's title: Already tried this?

Huawei Y9 2019 Root Request for Viper4Android

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been able to unlock their Huawei Y9 2019, ever since Huawei blocked their bootloader service. I wished to install viper4android in my device however, due to the inability to root the device, that wish stopped dead in its tracks. If anyone could help, I'd be highly grateful
