[Q] [TW] How to disable pinch out sound

Hello all,
Its getting very annoying: everytime I pinch out on the homescreen to get to the homescreen selection section, a voice is saying some stuff I cant even understand, even in silent mode. Its getting me sick!
How can I disable it? Looked for it everywhere! Someone has a clue?
Thanks in advance.
Am I the only one with this problem? No one else?

Me either as far as I know your not meant to get any either?
Have you added an app as an accessibility service? Maybe Lightflow or Tasker? You can either remove those apps as accessibility services or you could use another launcher. This is a known bug which doesn't really have a perfect solution yet.

I had the same issue yesterday and i solved it
At first i thought it was driving mode(since that reads out things while you drive) then i checked accessibility settings and i disabled talk back(i think).....but that still didnt work.
Found out its lightflow....Has something to do with the app.I think you can disable it but i just removed the app completely and the voices stop
I'm still waiting for my s3 so can't check whether that does the trick or not but the developer of Missed It! said to check that both Talkback and Install Web Script (both in Accessibility settings) are set to off
Sent from my CM9 TouchPad
I've had this problem too and I don't have Lightflow installed. For me, the solution was to go to Settings, Accessibility and under Services turn off 'Addons Detector' which I had installed.
So, perhaps it's anything installed in the Services section causes the problem. A bug perhaps?

the activation screen on an unactivated phone. you get it when you power on the phone. any app listed under apps on the phone. all phones come with pre-installed apps. one of these apps.

Try this trick:http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-htc-one/311993-any-way-bypass-activation-screen-use-phone-wi-fi-only.html
Apparently you gotta touch the four corners on the select language screen. Works on AOSP, might not work on skinned Android versions.

Oh, ok.
What happens when you press home button??
Or does your phone have a search button? Maybe you can access Google Now?

take sim card out, then bypass activation screen. go through Setup Wizard skipping/opting out of everything via Next/Skip/No. at end of setup, you will see Home screen. from there you can run apps, etc.
i had the sim card installed still. when i bypassed the activation screen, i only had access to Settings on the phone.
Glad you solved it.:good:

[Q] OK Google Everywhere not working

Hey guys!!
Just got my S6 Edge and loving everything about it so far except...
My Ok Google anywhere isn't working. It's not even presenting me an option to turn it on. Also "enable audio history" option is missing which I know is necessary to get it all working.
I have done a factory reset, enabled and disabled S Voice, primary language English US, and deleted app data etc! I am running a stock Telus Samsunf S edge. I don't know if it's firmware dependent or not.
If anyone can suggest anything else, I'm all ears!!
Thanks in advance!

Looks like they removed it I had it yesterday now it's gone there was a update last night
Ah, that's a shame. At least I'm not the only one!!
Hope they come to their senses and come out with an update to enable it again!
Yep was there yesterday and gone now.
Perhaps it was sucking too much battery? Can't say I really used it that much but it was a cool feature. Will just have to press and hold home button to use it! A bit of a pain!
Found a work around for now...
Using an app called "Now Gesture Tweaks" which allows me to press and hold the home button to activate Voice Search and Nova Launcher gesture "Swipe Up" for Google.
Gives us a similar effect.
voice your disapproval: @S6NoOKGoogle https://twitter.com/S6NoOKGoogle
Don't you guys have "google settings" in your app drawer? All "OK Google" settings are right there.
EDIT: My bad.. deep down to the detection settings, it is gone!! How!? So is this Samsung's fault or Google's fault?
Yup. It's global and it's just all the variants of the S6 & S6 Edge. Some Nexus devices seem to be broken but still have their options.

I used it on a regular daily basis. Very frustrating for them to pull it without notice...
What is even more frustrating is that neither Google or Samsung is taking the heat for this,,,both are referring us to each other LOL,,,classic tactic.

Unfortunately same, not working.
It doesn't work on my Note 2, my wife's S3, and even my coworker's Walmart Alcatel phone alll running Kitkat and all did the latest update.
Its a bigger issue and Google doesn't seem to be too concerned
I got an update yesterday and it is working now, well at least from the homescreen.
Sprint S6 Edge w/Nova Launcher, OK Google works from any screen.
Does the widget need to be on the home screen for it to work
Sent from my SM-G925F using XDA Free mobile app
Not for me
Wow, just realized I don't need the widget at all for hotword to work. Cool
supposedly the 5.1.1 update will bring the OK Google functionality back.
Is your S-Voice App activated? Or did you disable that? I've read that either having it on or off might enable OK GOOGLE from any screen to work.

Problem is to disable it not close, I always switch to maps to ride sharing app, and it's blocking everything and usually when people you map they are driving so clicking X all the time distracting and car moving to click a small X that is super tiny.
this name picture-in-picture.
to disable it go to apps & notifications, apps, settings, special access,picture-in-picture, disable the feature for maps.
good luck

Thank you very much. This help solve my problem too.
I agree with the open post that this new feature is very annoying which make no sense viewing the map in such a small floating windows but blocking everything.
thanks for this solution, another person here who finds this irritating.
am i the only one experiencing maps lagging when using it? i.e on turns the entire map jitters

Yup. Was the same on the mate 9 pro. Maps never worked that smooth.
In fact, I like this feature very much. The small overlay window can be moved everywhere around and is blocking nothing at all.
But on a Mate 10 Pro the implementation of the feature is buggy. The overly is on one position of the screen, but the finger input is somewhere else. I needed a few tries to find that out. So on the Mate 10 I would also suggest to disable this feature. But on any other phone it’s a great enhancement for Google Maps.

I have two Mate 10 Pro. Mine has the issue you mentions above (in Google maps the PIP initially will be in the bottom right corner, and once I touch it it will move to the top left corner and becomes unresponsive). Surprisingly however, my other Mate 10 pro doesn't have this problem (both phones purchased on the same day from the same retailer and have the same software build).
I tried resetting and formatting my phone with no luck!

Google Feed - Blank

Hi,
My Google Feed is blank unless I go into settings and come back out without changing anything. I've flicked between Feed Enabled and Feed Disabled but still nothing.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue on a BLA-L29 129 firmware?
Thank you.
did you try to delete the data of "google" app in the settings?
it happened to me and this resolved it

So far so good, thank you
I have tried deleting the data and restarting but I still have a blank page. The only way I can get it to work is by opening the google app in the play store....it is very strange
When you are on the google Now Site (blank) then give the command "ok google" - what happened then? In my case - then the results appear. This was the issue with the firmware BLA-L29 C432 129. BLA L29 C432 131 it startet with normal working. And finaly with BLA-L29 C432 137 first weeks same issue. No content on the site till "ok google" and since 2 Weeks everything is working well. I don't change anything in settings - one day doesnt work without ok google - next day works like expected.
the issue has returned for me. I am on BLA-L29 C432 129.
uninstall the update - it's happening on various devices - i removed the update after experiencing the issues and voila all working again

I have auto updates turned off permanently, but I selected update all by mistake, which caused the issue, at first thought it was something else, so went through clearing the data and cache.

Having the same issue here-tried following the steps to clear the data but to no avail. Yet another Huawei app problem. My BBC news widget fails to update constantly too.
Same problem here, when you open your feed click on the search bar and then on any free soave on the screen. It should come back for a bit. Very annoying

Problem with HUAWEI device
Hi, I recently changed from a P20 PRO to a Mate 20 PRO, I used to check my google feed every now and then and I loved it, never had a issue, but since I made the change the feed is blank and in the options or configuration part the letters of the options are gray. I restarted the phone, installed older versions of google, etc. Some help please!
