Hey guys i got a pretty straightforward question...
i have unlocked the bootloader and everything is great but now i'm in the need of unlocking my phone... how would i do that? could i relock bootloader and go to stock then unlock it by code provided by my carrier? and if yes would i be able to unlock the bootloader again afterwards?
EDIT:
Oh and by the way inside s1tool it says SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE
bump... nobody that can help me?
Hello everyone. I just purchased an HTC One on AT&T. I want to root it, which from everything I have heard, means that I have to unlock the bootloader. I have no interest in flashing custom ROMS, I just want to use root apps like Titanium Backup and Wireless tether. If anyone knows about an exploit that allows for root without bootloader unlock, please let me know.
I also want to unlock the SIM/carrier lock via an unlock code. What I want to know is:
Should I do the SIM unlock first, then the bootloader unlock? Or the other way around?
Once the SIM/carrier lock is removed, will the bootloader unlock process have any effect on it?
Thank you,
Nick
Motochopper supposedly will root without bootloader unlock. Revone will grant s-off, allowing bootloader unlock without involving Htcdev. Sim unlock is unrelated and not affected by any of this.
is it possible to relock the phone after unlocking it with a code? it was locked to t-mobile, and i unlocked it with a code. now i would like to lock it back if possible. how to do this?
hi! is there any way to unlock my bootloader even if the rooting status bootloader unlock allowed says no...? thanks in advance...
Simple answer: no. If it's a must-have, go return it and buy one off-contract.
It is possible that in the future, someone will find an exploit to unlock the bootloader, or at the very least, do something similar to Loki on the Galaxy S4 (get custom ROMs/etc without an unlocked bootloader).
Sure sucks.

I bought one Factory Unlocked without ever being on a contract and it also tells me no, so it looks like it's not possible to unlock the boot loader on any American model.
Hi Masters!
I want to use systemless root on my Z2 but my bootloader status says 'no'. Is there a way we can turn 'no' into 'yes' like force it? Or is it possible to use systemless root even if my bootloader is locked with a stock kernel??
Thank you for your answers!
Is your phone carrier-branded?
Yes my phone is locked to a carrier? I called them to request an unlock but they refer me to a local technician to unlock. But I don't want to spend just to get it carrier-unlocked. Hopefully there is a way for me to do it on my own.
Sorrily, as of now, there is none... Spending for an unlock code would only get you carrier-unlocked...
