Could anybody please try to add more than 1.000 characters to the Contact Notes Field and try to sync in back to Google Contacts?
I still have the Huawei Mate 8, which has that problem since Nougat. The Huawei Mate 9 has similar problem, not sure what Mate 10 will bring. The problem is described in more detail here:

I'm thinking to switch to LG V30 or Pixel 2 XL, just because of my Contact data getting truncated and lost. Samsung Note 8 also still has the problem, I tried it out in Samsung store.
Could anybody please check, if there appears an obvious limit in the notes field within Google Contacts?
Thanks!

It seems so. Just did a test for you. Perhaps this happens with every phone.

Thanks a million, man! Much appreciated! It wasn't the case before the Nougat update on my Mate 8. Also on my old LG G2 not a problem. And on Nexus or Pixel devices with direct software from Google.
But all Samsung have the restriction and several other brands. Huawei since Nougat, also on the Mate 9.
Unfortunately it seems more common now... Really too bad. I won't get around finding other solutions then.

Same with Huawei Mate 20 Pro
I have the same problem with my new Huawei Mate 20 Pro. So far I have been using iPhone and all the notes of the contacts have been displayed in full. However, when I use native Huawei Contacts app or Google Contacts app on my Huawei phone, the notes get truncated (cut off). Huawei support has told me to contact Google support, however, at Google forum, they say the problem is device specific and that phone manufacturer should fix that.

espero les sirva , saludos desde argentina

Hello, I'm using a Mate 10 Pro single SIM BLA-L09 C432 currently on EMUI.
Back when I had Oreo I used Settings Database Editor to enable the 4G Only option. Now that I have EMUI 9 I no longer have this option despite my SetEdit values being unchanged from what they were before.
Is there another way to enable it? I really do benefit from this option so it'd be tremendously helpful if anyone would know how.
Thank you very much in advance.
Is it so difficult to search existing threads?

Hello guys,
Few days ago my NFC of my mate 20 PRO just stop working. Before the problem everything was fine, just 1-2 secs on a card reader and transaction is done (Am using my bank application to mobile payments). Now seems that NFC randomly somehow died. Terminal and application just dont react somehow...Can it be related to the newest 9.1.0.311-20 firmware? I dont know exactly when this update was installed into my phone (do you know where i can check update history?). ...Do you know any troubleshooting tools or a log where i can find something about NFC and why is it not working or any recommendations regarding to this? NFC also does not charge any more.
You may want to post in the P20 pro forum, not the Mate 20 pro one - better luck to find an answer.
Sorry. Dunno why i wrote p20. I have mate 20 pro )))
What bank app you using? Barclays had a few issues with theirs.
So from what i've been seeing online, Huawei claim they do not support these... unless you buy directly from them!
True or false?
If false, has anyone found a method to manually install?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your speedy reply. I understand that some third party apps may have compatibility issues with EMUI 10 but like I mentioned before I should still be able to have that option. Thank you and cheers from Croatia...
so does anyone know what apps 'MAY' work?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, everybody!
I am wondering if it is possible to somehow install the Google Mobile Services on the Mate 40 Pro Plus. I am pretty sure I have read it somewhere but I just can't find it anymore.
As far as I remember I have read that running the Google apps is possible on said phone as it is a Chinese version (obviously not released anywhere else in the world). Is this true? Is it possible to run GMS on a Mate 40 Pro+ and if that's the case is there any tutorial on how to do it?
Thanks in advance!
