Bluetooth Contact Sync - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

When using my Google Pixel and connecting via Bluetooth to my car all of my Google contacts synced great. Any incoming phone calls would identify the contact name on the screen. With the Galaxy S9+ only contacts with names in the Phone contact book show up, but that's it. Any names stored as a Google Contact doesn't show up as name, only phone number is displayed. Anyone else running into this problem and possibly have a solution? I tried making the Google Contact App default, but that isn't possible. I've run out of ideas.

Showing contacts with only phone numbers

Is there a way to only show contacts with phone numbers? Right now it shows all my google contacts when I want to specific a specific group that I have setup on google contacts or just ones with phone number. You can do this with OEM Android. Is it doable on HERO? If not this is really annoying.

[Q] Incoming calls: Name of contact from Exchange Server not showing

Hi,
I added the Exchange Server of my company to my SGS3, and calendar and contacts sync perfectly. If I search for a person in the contact list, it even shows exchange contacts as well, and I can call them directly without having them in my personal contact list.
Here is the problem:
If one of my coleeges calls me, I only see the phone number, not his name. All the info such as name, phone number, email ect. are available on the server. I'm only able to see the name of the dialer if I search for the person on the exchange server and chose to Add Contact to the phone. But I don't want to do that one by one, to have all 500+ ppl from my company saved in my contacts list.
Any suggestions?

I was just thinking, that my exchange contacts are already synced onto my phone, so the info is available on the phone. It doesnt have to make a server lookup or anything.
It shows the names of Facebook contacts, who are synced to the phone in the same way, so why not Exchange contacts?

Show name when Exchange contact is calling

Hallo,
My Exchange account is synced on my Android Phone (Motorola Moto G). I see my contacts if I search for someone (Phone number and Contact name).
But, when an Exchange contact is calling me, I only see the phone number and not the corresponding name on my phone. Is this a setting or is this normal behavior?
Thanks!

Conctacts stopped syncing and dissapeared

Hello,
I had my contacts synced and all was dandy. I had some favorites in the widget too.
Now all of a sudden my contacts widget is empty and the only contacts I have on my watch are emails with no phone numbers or names. Sort of like my unwanted contacts list from google or something....
How did this happen and how can I fix this to bring my actual contacts back?
It seems like Gear S pulled in ALL my gmail contacts that I have ever received an email from. You can imagine this is alot... Not ones in my contact list, but anyone who I received an email from. Not sure what made the Gear S sync with my gmail contacts because I don't even have them listed as contacts in my phone or saved anywhere... even google contacts won't show them unless I type it in (which pulls it from gmail I guess)

contacts show in search but not in account

Hello, I am finding this very unusual. I have 3 gmail accounts synced to my phone. I do not use face book, snapchat, whatsapp, etc and do not have any other accounts synced to my phone not even my work email.
I have Telegram and I am noticing people joining with a phone number attached saying my friend so and so is joined Telegram.
I do not recognize the name or number, so I go and select each of my contact accounts and scroll through them and I find nothing. However when I search for the name it comes up with a name and phone number. There is NO edit button, the menu options only show delete, share, Add to home screen, set ringtone, Route to Voicemail, and Help and feedback. Normally I would hit delete, however where these contacts are coming from is a complete mystery to me. I tried clearing contact app data
I checked ALL three accounts online via a PC as well, and it does not come up anywhere. Where in the hell are these contacts coming from. Chances are they are an old deleted contact whom I no longer speak with, but how and why are they being found in he search but not when i scroll through the list. I thought about SIM card contacts, but I installed a SIM card reader and there are none. I removed all accounts but my main one and cleared app data for contacts, but it still shows.
I have a second phone with the same gmail accounts and the mysterious contact does not show up on it, so I need help determining where this contact is located. There are other contacts i searched for that does not have an account as well. I would really like to know where these contacts are if anyone can help.
