A lot of ppl says that mate 10 pro last forever...
Well thats not my case, and i wonder If the problem lays on work profile, since its duplicate some services as play store etc ... Anyone here got work profile on?

I just wanted to start by saying that I have no idea how this started happening or even when. Only that it started happening within perhaps the past month or maybe 2 months.
I'm having issues with two apps, BBM and PowerAmp. PowerAmp has this feature where if you plug in your earbuds it will resume your music and if you unplug your earbuds it will pause automatically. In probably the last month or so I've noticed that this has no longer been working from Poweramp even though this has been working since I've had it which is a long long time . I thought maybe the Poweramp service was being closed due to not enough phone memory but I would check and not only was the service running but I also had enough memory.
The interesting thing is that I'm having a similar problem with the BBM app. They have a service that runs which checks for incoming messages and in the recent past it too also stopped working. Both PowerAmp and BBM will work if I have opened the app in the past 5 minutes or so. As an example, if I open PowerAmp and use it a bit, close it, and within the next minute I plug in my earbuds it will resume playback. If I take out my earbuds and wait a long period of time and plug back in then no such luck. The same behaviour is happening with BBM.
Many people have similar issues specifically with BBM but keeping the Persistent Icon in their notification area has solved it. For me, it has not. I followed BBM's support which says to have the Persistent Icon on, check to make sure the app does not have background data restricted, and also to check to make sure that background data in general is not restricted. All checks are good. The other interesting thing is that when I switch from data to Wifi all of a sudden I will receive all of my BBM messages, so it seems that the service must be running I'd think?
I don't know if it's a coincidence between both apps or not. Any suggestions or things to try in order to get to the deeper root cause? I have a Nexus 4 and I'm on version 4.4.2 and I should have the latest version of both apps installed. I'm not rooted or anything. It's just a stock Nexus 4 from Google.
Thanks.
Got a UK 3 phone provider Galaxy S3 with 4.3 (Kernel version 3.0.31-2429075) as provided by my provider untouched.
Oddly the screen switches on from time to time as its just sitting there on the sofa.
(Also when I plug in or take out the charging cable it powers on the screen. But that's probably considered a 'feature')
But in the main the problem is it switching the screen on when it likes during my working day.
Anyone know how to stop this behaviour?
I've looked in the various apps I use, like Facebook. But can't see any notifications that mentions powering up the screen.
Motion, Voice control and Smart Screen is turned off,
Your phone is full of bloat that keeps waking the screen, you probably have really poor battery life to.
In app manager try to disable the apps you never use, get greenify for the ones you do.

Many thanks for that 'boomboomer'. :good:
Didn't know I could disable Apps I never use.
I'll need to give that a go. Samsung and Google does provide Apps I never use! :crying:
I do keep a lot of Apps on it. But most are only used once a week or rarely.
On a side point.
Any way I can stop Google Play from updating apps during the day when it's not charging? It just needs to try to auto-update 5+ apps at once and it slows to a crawl if the 3G/Wi-Fi connection is slow. Be nice if it could do it late at night when its charging.

yes ,open play store ,go into settings and disable auto update when wifi/3g is on . After that you can update manually your apps and you will get notifications when update is available .

Thanks for that. Yes, I knew that. I do want it to auto-update. Just not during the working day. Seems to take just one app to not update correctly and I get a queue of them waiting for that one to update!
Best if it was done during the night IMHO.
The (my) m10 pro has extreme memory management and several of my apps that need to stay in mem, running in the background are kicked out by either oreo or emui all the time.
This makes this phone much less fun to use than my mate 9 where all these apps just ran fine.
The following apps are stopped all the time:
Garmin Connect (communicates with my Fenix f5)
Cambridge connect that connects to my (music) amplifier
Adguard (adblocker)
The problem is that with the garmin and cambridge apps the Bluetooth and wifi connects are also gone and thus communication stops.
My colleague has the very same problem so there must be more people out there with this isse.
Anybody else have this problem cause I think Huawei has a serious issue here.
I have the same issues. Apps that I want to keep running are stopped regardless the different settings to keep them running.
What I do see is that only the Sonos app stays in the background. That app gets reported as still being active and stopping it requires a force stop action. So maybe Garmin Connect should investigate the Sonos solution.
Yes, saw the same. Antivirus apps also play nice and keep running. Nevertheless I think Huawei should be the one playing nice and stop the app killing madness to save 2 minutes battery life...
The Mate 9 had similar issues when it first launched but it was fixed quick. Any idea how to bring this message to their attention?
I'm gonna try it through HiCare anyway.
did you try to add it to "ignore batteryopti..." just do a search in settings
Hi, tried it and it seems to be better now. Lets see what happens over time. Thanks!
It's kinda solved now but after about 12 hours all the background apps I mentioned were killed somehow. So it improved but it's not yet perfect...
Hi,
After the last update, (965f) I've been struggling for a very long time installing Apps. Whether it's with Google Play or downloaded Apps. Does anyone have experience with it? I apologize for my bad English
That was the first thing I noticed coming from a OnePlus 5T, installing apps is twice as slow on the S9+.
Yes thats true. My S6 Edge and S7 Edge they are much faster then S9+ (but after last update). I dont understand why
****ty NANDs, probably. Anything that pushes the memory is slower - installing apps, copy/pasting, scanning, etc.
Did you enabled McAfee Antivirus on the System Maintenance app?
No, i have disabled McAfee
Solved with Hard reset.

I FOUND A FIX!
I finally fixed my problem you need to disable Google app the white circle with the colorful G in the middle by Google LLC im not sure why it causes this my moms s9+ where i bought from the same samsung store doesnt have this problem hopfully someone can find the root cause of this. Disable Google uninstall any updates and make sure auto update is turned off it fixes all the problems.
Edit: When either bluetooth or google app is disabled this problem doesnt arise. The actual root of the problem was caused by Logitech Bluetooth adapter being in my house I unplugged it and it all went away. I discovered this by finding an issue tracker made to google by a user from a different thread.
Thread available here with 12 pages of posts https://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...3617403/page12
issue tracker available at that thread is here below

Hello everybody, i bought my mate 20 pro global (LYA-L29 9.1.0.310) and i want to break it into a thousand pieces.
Now i explain why! Can anyone save me from an incumbent nervous breakdown?
1) First of all i go crazy every time i have to update or install from play store. I forced close and clear cache and data (both play store and play services for trying) but nothing. Please say me there is a solution and i'm idiot (it doesn't care ).
2) I use a motorcycle and i think this phone was made as a toy.... Youtube video (named: Defective Camera Huawei P20 Pro Focus or Stabilizer Rattling Vibrating Shaking) can explain more than words! I think a camera piece is not in his place (vibration moved something inside). Is there a solution that is not to make it fly away through my window?
3) The last is a known issue: Apps were killed in a second and multitasking is not possible (6gb ram useless!)
Can anyone save me?
Thanks to all for pacience :good:
which model of the phone you have and what version is the software?
i personaly not put any expensive phone as gopro /gps on moto
about multitasking killing this is how huawei save battery
about playstore its need itself update first

You didn't really say exactly what is happening. Quoted below is what I am experiencing (not only on the Mate 20 Pro, but also on my Note 9):
Whenever I want to update my apps, or install a new one...if it even starts the download (usually does, but fairly often says "download pending")...it will download and freeze. Sometimes at 99%, sometimes at 100%...but varies.
It may take 5 minutes to install. It may take 2 hours to install.

Based on a post I found about this type of issue, the culprit to this problem is Google Assistant (google app). If I go into Apps in the system gear, and select Google, and disable it (not uninstall updates for it...cancel at this question). It will then in short order do the downloads and installs in short order. You can then go back in and re-enable Google.
I posted this in the Assistant group in Google Groups, and got zero replies.

I updated the post for the model and the firmware!
I always put smartphones on mortorbike and sports cameras like the gopro are made to withstand vibrations and shocks. No device has ever had problems except for mate 20 pro. said this...
6gb of ram that cannot be exploited for what purpose?
Please suggest me where i have to look for playstore update
