When I receive a phone call, when my phone is just laying around in lock screen, I can't hear the person on the other end of the line. I have to disconnect and call the person back or let the person call me back, and then it works.
It's pretty weird that the ringtone does work and anything else, but the sound of the call is lost. Or maybe there isn't even a connection? I just can't hear anyone or anything.
Is anybody experiencing the same problems? Or knows how to fix it?
Phone is the HTC mozart
All fine here. Haven't you installed any app recently?
Could you try a different SIM card?
As a last resource you could make a reset...

After getting sick of it I did a reinstall. I'll install my apps one by one now so I can figure out if one of them is causing it.
Installed 3 apps and it's allready back.
4th & mayor
facebook
lists
I'm guessing it will be the sim or the phone itself
Same problem with another Sim as well.
Or phone is broken, or it must have something to do with the flashed ROM (allthough it's only since a month after flashing it).
tried un-installing 4th & mayor ?
I've got the other two apps and no problem - so if it IS an app conflict i'd start looking there
my wife's phone wont save video anymore. is there a fix for this? i have tried 3 sd cards and internal storage nothing works.

running a ROM or, any tweaks?
are the cards formatted from within the phone?
had anything on the phone changed before this started happening?
in settings options, where is it set to store media?
Hello, I have a motorola razr d3 xt920 and after using the crappy Multi mount SD card to be able to mount as MASS STORAGE many problems started happening, like no more option to choose which sim to use (it's a dual sim phone), no option to turn one sim off, Play Store not working anymore (force closes)... and after all I've found in the about that the phone is now presenting itself as XT919 (the single SIM brother). That could explain the lack of dual sim menus. Also after doing something it came up with a message saying FLEX was not found. FLEX seems to be some motorola related layer in their phones. So if anyone can help, is there a file or way to set it back as XT920 and also works like one of those? there's no CWM for this phone yet and no good firmware that I could re-flash. there's a bug that disable one of the sims if you reflash it.

In case you are rooted, you can try to change the build.prop file. Your phone's identity is in there (just scroll down) and then change it back to yours, this might solve it. In case you are not rooted, I really don't know what to do (except from rooting and then try the first method)... You may have accidentally changed the build no. or something like that. I don't think the ad card has anything to do with it. Hope this helped a little
So about a day ago my phone got stolen. Now the phone in question had an utterly obliterated screen of which rendered it completely useless for now. However i am more interested in the sd card rather than the phone it self. When trying to ping it with Android Device Manager it just says that the location is unavailable so there seems to be no internet connection.
So i tried installing Android Lost through the Play Store and pushing a message with the command "androidlost register" to no avail. So by this time i assumed that the SIM card had been plucked out and done for. But i tried pushing another text message earlier today to it with the same command but this time with delivery reports enabled. And i got a message that said that it'd been delivered.
So this has to mean that the sim card is still in there and the phone is still on but no internet connection right?
Now is there any way to have Android Device Manager notify me whenever it comes online? My operator has a feature where i can enter the IMEI and lock the phone through that. But what kind of lock would that enable? Is it just like having the phone locked down with a pattern lock? Also could it affect the sdcard? If so then in what way? How is .nomedia files treated on Touchwiz own gallery app and file explorer? If this guy has left the SIM in then i can undoubtedly also assume that he has left the sd card in as well. Is there any way at all to wipe and or pull the files from the sd card? I'm ready to do pretty much anything even if it requires to hire a blackhat who'll get this **** done for me. I don't think what kind of phone this is really matters but it's an S4 LTE running CM11 with a six number code enabled, this isn't really something that's he's gonna get through if he fixes the screen is he?
As for now it seems that the phone is turned off since i am no longer getting delivery reports and my kik messages are just not getting through.
If this is way too much then i'd appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction of where someone might be able to help me.
First time posting here so if the thread is in the wrong place feel free to move it.

My wife and I each have the T-Mobile LG V10. Mine works great! Hers does not.
Her sounds will not work consistently. This includes the ringtone and notification sounds. I contacted T-Mobile and they said they have not heard of this issue and I should exchange it. I looked online and found no similar issues. I exchanged it and a day later my wife is having the issues again!! What are the odds??? The only constant between the two phones is the SIM card and Google account info.
Has anyone else had this issue or have any additional ideas on what could be causing the problem?
I have already double and triple checked the notification settings, including the priority calls and interruption settings. I have also performed the factory data reset.

Are her ringtones / media files on an sd card? I'm thinking SD card faulty? Or using stock internal sounds? Then my theory don't fly.
Another test, reset hers stock, pop in your SIM and use your account. Troubleshoot those.

Thanks for replying. No SD card installed. Could the SIM cause a ringer issue????
Maybe a smart setting sound profile?
When you exchanged phones, this you or T-Mobile backup and restore stuff? I know the lg backup will bring old settings back. After the Factory reset, how did you restore the phone?
Does it still happen in safe mode?

Great idea, however, I did not use the LG Backup feature. I did check the smart settings, which are all "Off". How do I enter safe mode?

Set her phone back up as a "new phone" dont restore or sync her account. Check from there.
UPDATE: Exchanged phone again. This is her 3rd LG V10. Guess what happened a few hours later? Ringer and notification sounds stopped working! Then, they came back on again shortly thereafter. Then they stopped working again! This phone has the same issues as the previous ones...only at least the sound works more often than the previous phones! Hopefully this is a software glitch and LG will fix it. I am very surprised my wife has had three phones in a row with the issue and yet I haven't found any threads with others having this problem.
Have you tried getting her a new Sim card? This seems like an issue that is more user related than phone, since it seems she is the only one we know of with that issue.
I'm not saying it couldn't be the phone, but the chances of getting three bad phones in a row with what seems to be a very rare error is pretty slim.

I completely agree, very unlikely. This time I made sure we got a new sim card. If it is not the phone, the only other option is a software glitch, but the only app she uses that I do not is Candy Crush. I doubt that is messing with the ringtones and notifications...but she isnt willing to part with it long enough to find out!
At least this one works slightly better than the previous two...so far.

My wife and I have the same phones and hers after she plays a game the ringer and notification sound will not play. I have check all the settings but can't come up with a reason for it. If she restarts the phone it will work till the next time. I was going to take it back today after work, but after reading this post I don't know if that would do any good.

You are correct, I'm not sure it would help. After my wife had the issue with a third phone, she finally had enough and traded for a Note 5. Interesting note, the only difference between her and I was that she played games a lot...specifically Candy Crush games. Perhaps there is a compatibility issue with those or one of her other games. Hopefully this issue is resolved for you, because the phone was great otherwise!
Two of the games she plays when this happens are hearts and candy crush saga. I turned on vibration with sound and vibration will still work when sound profile doesn't. Haven't found connection yet.
I lost ringtone but still had notifications and message sounds. Don't know what happened but a restart fixed it for now. I don't have any games on my phone at all.

I am having the SAME issue with mine. I have had it since November 2015 and got my husband the same phone for Christmas. His works just fine and mine does not. It will NOT alert me for my text messages for anything. I have checked and rechecked ALL settings.
I too am having this issue and yes I think it's candy crush. This morning I had a full lives notification icon in the task bar and no alarm clock tone just vibration.
I'm having this issue as well. I do not play or have candy crush. My issue started after the last forced update. This is my 2nd phone that has done this. I also have at&t
