Hello all.
I want to know how to access Erecovery in mate 10 C636.
I am trying to use funky Huawei to update my mate 10 but there is no download and install button. It only has reboot and wipe options.
Kind regards.
Boot the phone with USB cable attached to computer, while holding volume up.

I got a slight problem with my MediaPad 7 Lite. This is what I tried:
1. Shutting it down with USB Debugging enabled.
2. Restart tablet to fastboot mode by holding volume up and power buttons
The result:
It shows an Android Logo (Yay Recovery?) and then says "Rebooting..." and restarts normally.
Any solution to get into Fastbootmode / Recovery?

you cannot do that unless you do flash custom recovery... What do you want to achieve anyway?

Can u plzz tell u how to flas recovery, becose you cant flash it if u are not in fastboot (i think so).

Its risky because they not perfected it yet... There's a chance that you might brick your tablet...

I also got the same problem. I got a Mediapad 7 Youth (Brother of Lite) and I cant access the recovery mode nor the fastboot mode. I tried to download CWM Recovery Manager but nothing happened It still skips and reboot. By the way I would like to flash a custom recovery but I cant find any can u please help me/us?

I just tried a couple of methods of getting into stock recovery myself for the mediapad 7 lite both get same error message
fail.....reboot needed
long press power to power off.
2) at another site I found the possible reason......
power + vol up + vol down until tablet vibrates
release power and hold vol up
--- it expects to find an update image on my sdcard ....which currently I don't have.

I have yet to test putting an official upate on sdcard and when normal boot......update from huawei site thru system settings says no updates needed.
i installed flashify onto my Huawei ascend mate 1, and install CWM. it asked to flash it, i pressed yes and it shutdown and won't boot normally, It's stuck on the logo mode.
if i press the power button for 10 seconds, it vibrates once before restarting normally and is stuck at the logo screen.
if i press volume - and power button simultaneously, same thing happens (note this is how i used to get into recovery mode before)
When i press the volume + and power button together after 10 seconds, it goes off and back on again Without the little vibration in the other cases, but gets stuck again
same thing happens when i hold down the 3 buttons all together.
i downloaded the stock rom from huawei's websit, put it into the dload folder and tried everything above 3 times. nothing happens.
i connect it to my computer for a chance to adb/fastboot, but in vain.
guys what can i do?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm going to move your thread here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p6/ascend-mate where experts on your device can help you. You're probably going to have to flash the stock firmware on your device to get it working again.

This is the Mate 2 Forums. Totally different device. You probably didnt unlock your bootloader. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2642403 Try there.

to install twrp and the console said it would work. But now, if I press Volume Up and Power, it opens the standard Huawei eRecovery. How can I fix that problem?

Erecovery because USB plugged. Remove wire and shall be fine
Be sure the phones not plugged into power or PC, then try. Mine does same if plugged into anything.

Another one that doesnt read
Guys I need help ...this morning my phone restarted while charging and got stuck on huawei logo screen. i tried different combinations of Power + Volume up and down buttons but it didnt go to any other screen. then i installed hisuite on my PC and connected to my phone through USB cable, and holding volume down button i got to this screen which says FAST BOOT&RESCUE MODE and further reads "Phone Locked" "FRP Lock" in the end below Android logo.
i want to access my phone contents and get backup as I have important files to recover. Please I need some help with detailed step by step procedure to help me get through without damaging my phone or its content. I am hoping some nice techie can write me the steps needed to be taken considering I am a complete noob.
Try forcing your way into the recovery and clearing cache
Vol up + power without having it plugged in
Just keep it pressed for 1 min + if you have to until you see the recovery
When the phone vibrates and turns on let go of the power button so it won't cycle

i tried but no luck
Any news? I got one in the same condition. When its in eRecovery and i try to update it shows "can't get update info(or something like that)", it doesn't have factory reset button available, it doesn't have wipe button available. When I put it in fastboot, it shows Phone "Locked" and "FRP Lock".
Wtf do I do with this brick?

no mate ... the phone is not usable anymore as i couldn't get it fixed from anywhere nor found any solution online

have you tried Emergency Backup?
- Turn off your phone and connect it to your computer using USB cable. Press and hold the Volume Up and Power Button for 15 seconds, until the device restarts and enters the eRecovery mode. Select "Emergency backup" . Works on EMUI 9.1 only!
IMO theres no other way to save your data...

That sucks, I think I got exactly the same problem, have tried all kind of combinations. Only different appearing window is fastboot but that is totally useless as the device doesnt appear on Hisuite either. What happens when the batter totally drains ?

Phone does not turn off, and whatever button you press it just keeps showing Huawei start screen except for volume down and power button combination which opens fast boot window. Do you how to connect the device to laptop while in fastboot mode? We have tried fastboot commands on terminal but didnt get anywhere with file recovery...
so no solution?
U can do it, but u need dissasembly the phone, to make test point, if phone isn't hw damaged yes u can fix it in that way

Hi, I have same problem. Stuck on HUAWEI logo and power off do restart.
Phone is with last stock FW, FRP and BOOTL. locked. I tried update from SD card, but no succes. All buttons combinations not working except fastboot. But in fastboot, there is no possibility to do something due to locked btldr.
But I have one advantage, I have same phone model with same firmware working. Is there any possibility to recover bad piece?

Some threads suggest that you should Format Data with yes but I would strongly suggest you check twice what you are doing, think again and be sure everything is as should. I bricked my device twice doing format data from TWRP (maybe I should have done this with fastboot). TWRP said it's done but no softbutton, no option to go back and it stuck on that screen for a longer period of time. Forced reboot and you go into bootloop, looks like device wants to go into recovery but nothing happens. The only way out for me was to go into fastboot/rescue and flashing proper (matching what was already on the device) system/kernel/recovery.
OK I admit that format with yes might be safe and OK and it might be only my problem but be warned about possible outcome of doing so.
You most likely didn't brick your device. Ask yourself these three questions (if yes to all of them, then you have bricked your Huawei Honor Note 10):
Can you enter stock recovery? Press and hold VOLUME DOWN and the POWER buttons.
Can you boot to CFW recovery (TWRP only EMUI8) via VOLUME UP and the POWER buttons.
Can you enter fastboot recovery? Press and hold VOLUME DOWN + POWER buttons while plugging in your Huawei Honor Note 10
I have often succeeded in 3 with my own Huawei Honor Note 10. Try all three of these and see if you have any success.
