My Dell Venue 8 Pro 5830 only goes up to 1.33ghz (it shows this as the max speed in Windows, and I have Turbo Boost enabledin the BIOS), but everywhere I read, it says it can go up to 1.8ghz. How can I go up to 1.8ghz?
I have BIOS A16, and running Windows 10.

Hello,
I am currently having an issue with my Dell Venue 7 3730 tablet.
A few weeks ago I ran a cleaning utility from the Google app store which seemed to complete without issues with the exception that I could not exit the utility. I then proceeded to reboot the device and the display would not power on. After researching various posts and forums it appears to be stuck in download mode. Installed the Intel Soc drivers and verified that fstk and device manager (Windows 7 x64) correctly identified the device (CloverTrail plus). Any hope of salvaging this device?
Thanks.

I think your Dell Inspiron 6400 is too old (about 10 years). I had similar problems with IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad laptops older than 10 years. The only one which worked fine with Remix OS is a Lenovo T400. Let's see whether the new Remix OS version (promised for March 1st) will support more old computers.

I've tried to install Remix Release 32 bit 2016042001 on a DELL Inspiron 6400, it gets as far as the language prompt but then just goes into a loop.
Hello. I have have problems with Lenovo Thinkpad 8. I can't boot RemixOS, no Guest, no Resident mode. Shows black screen.
I tried ASUS Vivotab Note 8, this table have no problems. Please, fix bugs with Lenovo Thinkpad 8 (32-bit).
I think in 64-bit version of tablet (newer CPU) will no problems. If you successfully booted, please check, have you Intel Atom Z3795 ?
Current CPU: Intel Atom Z3770.
Tested with 32-bit version of Remix OS.
I have a old computer with this specs:
Processor: Intel core 2 duo E4500
Ram: 6GB DDR2 800
Gpu: GTS 8800
Mobo: Asus P5N-E SLI
Error message:
intel_powerclamp: Intel powerclamp does not run on family 6 model 15
intel_rapl: driver does not support CPU family 6 model 15
:/
I have the same CPU and installed Remix OS on a old Acer Extensa Notebook. Even if i get that error message at boot it's working fine. Only issue is since Android 6.0 came it will freeze and force me to reboot if i suspend\sleep the Notebook, it's annoying but it's still functional.

I tried several Laptops, getting this message about powerclamp and stepping, and rebooting afterwards. Should an installation otherwise run fine on Core2Duo laptops? What about Centrino (Pentium M) ? too old, aren't those? Same Harddisk put into an IntelCore boots fine. Thanks
I am getting the same (or similar, I don't really remember) message on an i3 540, so this is not limited to your processor.
I'm trying to bring my streak 5 with 1.6 out of extinction. I'm using windows 10.
Would like to load CM7.
How do I get windows 10 to communicate with the Streak?
Wade
I think that you should install the appropriate drivers.
What drivers work for the Streak 5 on windows 10?
