I just noticed something on my M5 10 Wifi model today. The system is reporting a battery capacity of 3,750 mHa or whatever. Isn't it supposed to be somewhere around 7,000? Despite this, I'm getting stupid good battery life out of this thing. Is anyone else's like this?

I've ordered the non oem "2000mah" battery from ebay... since im in south america it might take a while to reach here, anyone has it? please share your thoughts!
i also buy from ebay this battery, i'm waiting from 2 week, i hope arrived quickly
Same here... I've ordered my 2000ma battery from ebay and I'm still waiting the delivery...
In our italian forum there's already some persons with this battery and from the first information that I've read they've good result.
I'll perform some test once I'll have the new battery
Hi,
I have the 2000mah battery and are very happy with it, but have read some posts from other users that claims that there is no improvement over the original. Not sure exactly how much longer stand by time I get with this battery, but it is a significant improvement from the original battery
Ordered too on 16 January on ebay, but still no arrived..
Battery
It appears to have no more power/longevity over original battery.
To me, the way to stretch battery life is to use a task killer often.
Does anyone know of a charging stand that is available for the Liquid?
I have this battery. I need to test it better but it is worse than original.
I'm going to run a more scientific test today
On the Original Battery, charged to 100%
End All with Advanced Task Manager (cept for some excluded tasks)
Turn on wifi, BT, GPS, brightness on max, using 3G
Media server App on
Swiftp on
Sygic mobile maps turned on
After the phone dies, ill record the time
Then charge up the Extended battery and do the same
So far, cycling the new battery for about a week, it seems to be about the same in capacity as the original
Tests results in
the original lasted pretty much exactly 3.5 hours
the extended lasted 3.5hrs as well
testing charge times now
sigh
have u got the rest of the tests??
mine seems like never arriving!
So really the 200 battery makes no difference?
Dissapointed was thinking of getting one
The thing that seems to drain my battery is the WIFI and web stuff
There is a thing in setup to tell you what has been using the battery but I dont know how accurate it is??
Pete
ok, after a thorough testing, what do you think??
Anybody seen results because it is getting hard to use it with this current battery life

Anybody have experience with these non oem batteries and wants to share experience:

thanks!
I have sign a few posts on the battery from mugen that started that if you want a real change in life that you have to use the 3100mah battery. With out you will see almost 3x the battery life. I'm wanting to try it myself but kinda saving up pennies here and there to buy it.

Basically... I dunno if its a Portico bug or what, Hadn't noticed it before. Anyway, just recently I have noticed that the last 4 or so times that I have taken the phone off charge in the morning, it will drain the battery at an increased rate, like about 4-5x the rate it normally would. Can see it quite clearly on my battery stats screen - the before and after. This morning I did a reset straight after I took it off charge so I didn't need to worry about it. Seems very odd though. For example, after 4 hours, about 5% battery would be gone under normal circumstances, but without the reset it would be around maybe 75 or 65
And yes, all applications were closed.
Don't know if I'm necessarily looking for a fix (most probably either an update or hard reset and don't wanna do the latter). Just wondering if anyone else has noticed.
I'm having battery draining issues myself. I'm very disappointed because the lumia 900 lasted me all day. I can feel the warmth of my phone in my pocket. Something is causing it to heat up. Windows OS doesnt have a task manager does it? I wanna see whats causing the battery to drain..

I don't see any difference between before and after Portico.
Battery life is good on standby.
I can use the phone maybe 6 hours on auto-brightness.
GPS drains a lot (didn't test it after Protico) but on charge it drains more than it charges and becomes hot...
I've had a stock s4 battery for a while and recently its been draining pretty fast. I've changed roms many times but the end result is always still the same bad battery life. At this point, I'm wondering if my battery is just degraded. I drain 10 percent from 2 hours idle . Also, wakelock detector isn't detecting anything unusual.
Does anyone have experience with a degraded/bad battery? Besides a bad battery life, is there any other defining feature.

check to see if the battery is physically swollen; somewhat common problem for the s4. the swelling may only be slight, but if you're able to spin it on a flat surface, you should replace it.
Mine has been that bad since out of the box. Worst performing battery out of any Android I've ever owned. It's my only gripe about the phone except for the locked bootloader. Like you, I've tried virtually every ROM out there and its always the same issue. I was hoping a blacked out ROM would help but it hasn't really.
I ordered a zerolemon 3000 mah battery to replace the stock one. Hopefully this will fix any battery issues.

Interesting. Would you mind posting your experience back here once you try it out for a few days? I suspect you will need to calibrate it when you first install it too.

Yeah, I can definitely do that.
I've had my G5 (RS988) for 3 days and my biggest issue thus far has been battery life. I looked at which processes are draining the battery, and to my surprise "Phone Idle" is the #1 offender, consuming over 20% of the battery.
Besides calls/texts, I mainly listen to music (media player, not streaming) on my commute to and from work, as well as browse the internet.
I fell asleep with my battery at 50% and woke up to it at 25%.
I'm running OS 7.0 and Software Version 21c.
I was checking out aftermarket batteries last night and there are several choices. Most of then are rated much higher than the stock battery. Has anyone tried any of these with positive results?

This device imo has always been a battery hog.... You screen should always be at the top of the list of battery ussage but if its sitting there idle
There are many things that can affect battery life wifi, data, aod even bad signal which is my issue I live in a low sig area I suggest a full charge and then after a full battery's usage post a couple screen shots of bat stats then with screen on time listed also

There are no batteries with greater capacity than LG's original one. These are cheaters claiming 4300mAh etc!
Original battery is 2800mAh, that is all that can fit in that physical size, that is the energy density that's possible right now. LG would have loved to put a higher capacity battery if it was possible.
Most possibly you will get much less than 2800mAh from those who claim the ridiculous high capacity than those who sell batteries as 2800mAh (even these are probably less than stated).

What's aod?
I was able to cut the phone idle battery usage by like 60%+ thanks to someone on Reddit. They recommended resetting the permissions on all the apps. The reason being that all the permissions got grandfathered in on the OS 7.0 update and it was somehow causing insane battery consumption. Hopefully I'm explaining that correctly. If you haven't heard of this fix and want me to find the link, let me know.

always on display i just sold my g5 got a s8 so now i got root also
I have been using the Samsung Galaxy A10 for 10 months now. Currently I'm facing battery issue (Discharging at irregular rates) and heating issues (On the screen - top - at the camera). I know this is a hardware problem. But , my battery has lost it's life over the age. My battery health is only 87% approx. 2987 MaH is left. But , the heating issue is going out of hand and it's crazy! It gets heated up for simple tasks like browsing on chrome watching a couple videos and so on on. The temperature is way too high average it's 35°C but it goes up to 45°C. It's like i can boil a egg on my phone. So I've been thinking of getting a new battery. So i taught why can't i use the Samsung Galaxy A50 battery if it fits. Have anyone tried this before or has anyone changed their A10 battery ? Please let me know.
What's the limit ? I mean everything has a limit and so does the circuit of a phone. Do you think it's safe using a 5000 Mah battery?
The question is will it fit?
Yeah , you are right. I've been searching for a higher capacity battery and i think A10S battery will fit. It's 4000 mah and where i live i can find it for less than $15. At the same time , i think i must act fast. My problem is kinda worsening. The phone gets hot for no reason at all! I'm afraid that it'll burst. Do you think that battery abuse maybe the reason? Draining the battery to 0% like almost everyday , using low quality charger , etc., please someone let me know ASAP I'm afraid!
