ok, so I have had my vibrant for almost a year now, and i have downloaded a ton of apps, gotten rid of a ton of apps and some of the files are still on my phone from the apps that I have gotten rid of.
My question is this, What files come stock with my phone?? I want to clean up the file system but I don't want to delete anything that will harm my phone.
can someone help me with this??
if you format the internal sdcard then you will not delete any system files because there aren't any system files on the sdcard. But you will lose your pictures videos backups and other files you might want to keep.
I'm thinking about restoring my phone to deafult settings because of some small annoying bugs. Before the reset, I'd like to backup my apps etc. The included program for backups is really good, but I wonder where the backup is located if I need to transfer it to my computer so that it won't be deleted in the reset. My question is then: Where is the backup located? I've searched my whole internal memory and sdcard, but found nothing. I've also searched for the problem on Google without results. Please help me, I'd would be really thankful for quick answers.
EDIT: Never mind, dumb as I am I forgot to check the hidden files.
Hey People,
Trying to remove bloatware (ATT Address Book) I mistakingly uninstalled a contacts system app. I made a TI backup so I just pulled down the prop files and gz files for that apk and the apk itself, but no luck. Did a factory reset and still the same thing. I was wondering if anyone has a TWRP backup they'd like to share with me or is it someone I could wife system in TWRP and do a factory reset from the bootloader ?
did you ever get sorted out? I am in the same boat now. Can anyone help?

Please anyone can help me? :crying::crying::crying:
If you haven't got a nandroid backup or even a normal backup, then there's no other way to retrieve your lost files! And I guess there was a ton of warns about backing up your system before modifying it. (Next time don't do it)
As for an alternative solution, can't you get those images back from other chatters' devices?

Click to collapse
But there are too many photos...
I make a hard reset, but if I go back to JellyBean and use the Mass Storage with a Pc tool like Recuva or another can be useful? or its imposible?
Atleast some pics should be recoverable this way.
But the more you do resets and data writing, lesser would be the chances of recovery
I want to recover my deleted photos.
You would need forensic software as FBI, NSA, Mossad may have it.
No, there are some apps that work.
First check your recently deleted folder. If it is there I won’t go into more detail.
