[Petition] Bring back BL unlock site - Nexus 6P General

As you know huawei removed the unlock website so you cannot get the code unless you pay dc unlocker or get the code via Huawei's email.
Sign this petition if you want the site back
https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/bring-back-huaweis-bootloader-unlock-website

Sorry to rain on you parade, but the Nexus 6P can be unlocked easily by issuing "fastboot flashing unlock". No need for an unlock code or whatsoever.
Cheers!

You can just e-mail them for the unlock code on other devices. They probably had a bunch of people with bots getting codes.

[Q] SIM Unlock code required

Hi,
I have Sony Xperia S from O2. I need to SIM Unlock Code because I'm using another Network. Can any one help me to solve this issue?
Thanks.
if youre with o2 pay monthly you can fill in the sim unlock form on their site
https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset Unlocking Form
I tried this before but this phone was a gift. I don't have SIM number to fill the form.
However, I'm using another network which not allowing me to make use of the phone.
It seems that your phone is a branded version that is attached to a carrier. You can try one of those websites that will SIM unlock your phone, but I'm not sure if the XPERIA S can be, yet...

It seems like this. because I tried many ways to unlock the phone. I notesed while trying to unlock the bootloader from services configuration "Bootloader unlock allowed: NO" and i couldn't connect it in fastboot mode. it didn't locate the driver even with manual installation.
do you have any suggestion? and what are those sites if you know cheep website?
cellunlock does the job for you
bro just head over to cellunlock site and place ur order they gave me the unlock code within 24 hours it works just fine to unlock the bootloader after that.

check out this site
http://www.cellunlocker.net/unlock-sony-ericsson-xperia-s.php
it is currently $39,99 on this web-site. I wonder if one can find anything cheaper - I have seen one on the eBay for £32,99 which I find too expansive too. do you guys think unlock codes will get any cheaper with time? thanks
:S :S
I tried them.
Returned the money because they can not do it.
I travel abroad for a long time and should I use another service provider.
I called my provider to do it for $ 500 for decoupling.
If I know I do not take this crap phone.
There is no solution to it?

I unlocked my Mrs's phone via cellunlocker webpage mentioned earlier. Had to wait a week, but can use any sim now. Though, the bootloader status hasn't changed (still says "no").
Then I bought an unlocked phone from eBay, thinking the bootloader will be unlockable, but it says "no" in the menu as well. :-(
I am wondering if you get it cheaper on the web - certainly those who made their way into unlocking world of SXS recently will make tonnes of money. Would appreciate if you could share if you have seen it cheaper than $40 please.

We just wanted to keep you updated on the status of your order. Despite our efforts, the manufacturer has informed us the Sony Ericsson Manufacturer method is delayed until further notice. We are very sorry about this situation once again, as we are sure you are eagerly awaiting your phone to be unlocked.
Your order will be returned as "Not found" and a full refund will be issued to you.

Unlocking your Bootloader - Paid Service

(Hi MODs - first off, i am not sure if i am breaking any rules by posting this here. if i am - kindly delete the thread and accept my apologies.
the reason i am posting this here is because there are a lot of XS and close variants of the device asking me via PM of i am seeing some thread where they are requesting for info on how to unlock the bootloader for the Xperia 2012 line up)
(I will be sharing how i got my phone (Xperia Acro HD SO-03D) SIM-unlocked and Bootloader status changed from "unlocked allowed = no" to "... = yes")
Disclaimer : This is a paid service. i am in no way connected to the person or business entity doing the unlocking (and getting all the revenue from it ) - this is merely an alternative means to achieve what every one wants (carrier-free and bootloader unlocked) - but then again, it will cost you roughly 45US$. if this is ok with you, read ahead. if not... please look somewhere else.
it will be worth it or i will not suggest it.
my SO-03D which is the Japanese variant of Xperia Acro S was SIM-locked to Docomo since it is a carrier subsidized model. the default status of my bootloader was "unlocked allowed = no". after i successfully SIM-unlocked it using ezSEMC tool.. the status of my bootloader is now "unlocked allowed = yes". it's like having your phone factory unlocked.
you may get the unlock code from your provider (for a certain fee)the thing is, that code from your provider will only alter SIMlock.TA from your system, and will not in anyway rewrite CSCA, which is the certificate which keeps your bootloader locked and stays that way. so you will only have your phone sim-unlocked but bootloader status will remain " ... = no".
better that you use ezSEMC then. dig?
the entire process is painless and quick. you email the admin at this email address, then request an unlocking service. provide your phone model and to which carrier it is locked. he will make you download the software you will use to unlock you phone. the software will ask for a username and password. that will be sent to you by the admin after you pay 45US$ via Paypal.
all you need to do after is login to the software using the credentials he will send you via email, (you have to have good internet connection on your laptop as the software will authenticate the credentials to an online server.) The CSCA data will be sent also via the server and instructions will be shown to you on the screen on how to connect your device to your PC.
Steps:
1>Input username and password first on the box provided - then click on "Check Credit" button to make sure you got enough credit for the service
2> Connect your phone (your phone must be in flashmode - vol-down then USB cable)
2>Make sure you set the drop-down phone model to match your device
3>Set the radio button to "full-unlock"
4>Click "Identify" (after "Identify" button is clicked and the tool is able to communicate with your device - the "unlock" button (previously grayed out) will now be available)
4>Just click on "unlock" button and the process will take only 45secs. you got your device SIM-unlocked and bootloader unlock allowed = yes
i hope this helps you.
What happens when you already paid your carrier to get a SIM unlock?

if your device is already SIM-unlocked via carrier-provided code, you can still use the service to unlock just the bootloader part but payment (afaik) will be the same.
check the screenshot here
first of all thanks!
but the price is too high for me and some others i guess.
do you have any idea if in the next couple months the price will drop maybe?
server seems offline!!!
i am not really sure about the pricing scheme. it's kinda erratic too. a week before i requested the unlock service, he was asking for 40$US, then at the time i was decided to avail of the unlock, he said ti will cost 45$US. Now i think it is back to 40$US.
you can send an email to the admin, which i have already provided in the OP. i doubt if it will go offline.
the price may seem high, but if you can get a better deal for the same service, that'll be better. this is just an alternative means which i know works, first hand.
thanks tommy rumbler for this USEFULL information... i have the same problem with my ray.. (un-simlocked by my carrier but unlock allowed=no^^)
must go to "wotan server" to unlock it... but xperia s is not supported by wotan for the moment.. the only way i know was to contact barney (Jinnnx13) to unlock totality of hardware..
I have seen ezsemc services offered @ $30 so shop around people.
This software is being released to resellers and prices are varying depending on how generous they are feeling. So as i say...shop around to find the best price.

So does he have to buy credits from somewhere to enable this to work and that's why he is charging? similar to the omnius and other products that were used for the Xperia Play?

A: if you're XS is generic, are you sure you got your bootloader unlock = no? also to clear it out, this will not unlock your bootloader, it will only change teh status from "unlock etc = no" to "unlock etc = yes"

like what i said, bro...yeah..it will only sim-unlock the phone but will NOT unlock the bootloader.
the bigger "but" though is, it will re-write the CSCA part..which will change your bootloader status from unlock allowed = no to unlock allowed yes.
YOU(as in you will be the one who will do it, and not the unlocking process) will then have the ability to unlock your bootloader via the official SE way or if there's a different workaround(like saving your DRMs etc).

[Q] Bootloader & CID?

As we all know, this beast is about to hit the streets Friday, but said beast is going to be locked by AT&T.
How hard/easy will it be to SuperCID & unlock the bootloader?
If the bootloader is unlocked will I be able to flash ROMs,Kernels,Radios, or is S-off needed?
I had heard it was unlockable on HTCdev still, has this changed?
http://phandroid.com/2013/04/15/htc-one-bootloader/
they may of course change it, sigh.

On a side note can anyone help me with a source on this? All I can find is that engadget article that doesn't list any sources for it.

Not that I don't believe them, but an official statement from either company would be nice.

Or it's a ploy by HTC to temporarily drive sales of their developer edition, for which I'm sure they make more on per unit than they do with AT&T.

i'd be interested to know if you can re-lock the bootloader without it displaying "TAMPERED" at the top of FASTBOOT screen. you know, just in case i unlock on 4/18 but want to relock on Friday, 4/19 to get a Black one if available.
When you relock the boot loader its going to say relocked. I've never had someone at the store boot to the boot loader to look at it when doing a return

if s-off is archived we will be able to. Until then we have to live with it. Most likely they wont check.

Pay $4 and use dc-unlocker.
It takes 30 seconds (as long as your drivers are fine and you can click in 3 times) and as a bonus, it never goes through Huawei. So technically speaking, your warranty is safe (as long as you block Huawei apps after the unlock.
Hallo,
I asked for the unlocking code via email. on 26.4.2018, directly Huawei support. Then I provided them with all the IDs they asked for and on 3.5.2018 I recieved working oem unlocking key. The rest is well known... Cheers!

And if I, for whatever reason, claim the phone in warranty period BUT before the claim, I relock the phone by the code and reset it to factory defaults, THEN the warranty is still relevant and legal, isnt it?

It will say Relocked so they'd know you had it unlocked.
You can install a fw that locks it (This seems to be the case for every Nougat update, but not Oreo).
So, I am lucky staying with Android 7, right? Anyway, I take care od my new toy very well, fitted in a tough rubber case, covered by 3D screen shield. Before this one, I had Huawei P8 Lite, as a corparate phone and it was fine, 3 years no problem with it at all. Then I left the company and decided to do myself a favour with Mate 10 Lite.... Here I go ;o)

Hello everybody
Can anybody tell me which email address i should request for unlock code from huawei?
How to get the HW unlockcode.
The easy way to unlockcode:
Go to the HiCare App and start a live chat.
"Please send the OEM unlock code."
Have the IMEI and serial number ready.
You determine both with the dialer code:
*#*#1357946#*#*
The unlockcode will be sent by email within 7 days.
It only took me a few hours.

If you don't want to wait 180 days to get your phone network unlocked file a complaint with FCC. I've had my OnePlus Nord N10 5g for less than a month and it is supposed to be unlocked Monday or Tuesday.

I'm wondering what would happen if I filed a BBB report against TMobile for discriminatory practices involving the right to repair and maintain. The option is there, the metro Nord N10 has a functioning DSU launcher.
