I cant send sms messages i can just recive them (error message: message not sent )
calls works
it dont depend on rom (tested on official resurrection remix, miui beta by xiaomi.eu, official asop extended)
sms works normaly when sim is in aother phones
i tried:
manualy set SMSC
switch sms app
switch off sms sync (mi cloud)
edit: ussd codes also not working
I am not able to test LTE and other net connection because they are disabled by operator since i bought the sim
edit: the phone cant send sms it dont depend on the sim (tested two sims from same operatror [o2])
edit i found out the sms works only on official miui global stable... cant someone help me out? i want send sms from xiaomi.eu beta release (miui 10)
solution: miui- disable volte in settings
other roms- persist.ims.volte=false in build.prop

Does anyone has the SMS fix (+ prefix) for the GSM HTC Hero? My incoming messages are shown as +XXXXXXXX and the mobile doesnt recognize the contact, but if I change my contacts to that format it no longer recognizes the incoming local calls.
I was running the Elelinux-7.1.0-Hero-v2.3 rom before and I didnt have any problem with the sms app.
I flashed the WildHeroWWE-1.2 rom yesterday and this problem started, I even tried the HeroLatte-0.5 rom but still it was the same. When I flashed the Elelinux rom again the issue was fixed.
I believe this an issue with the sense roms.
I would really appreciate if anyone provide me with a fix for this as I want to stick with the sense roms.

Hi, After updating to 2.1 i noticed i cannot recieve text messages. I couldn't find on forums how to fix this but i believe it might be something to do with APN. I tried looking but can't find it on forums.
Can someone guide me through this please. Maybe it might not be APN?

Everything works fine in my phone beside send/receive text from other callers.
I can call/receive calls, signal, internet, etc.
Another extra thing about text, I am able to receive text if i type a code EX*data# to know how many data u used this month).
I tried the apn settings JBAgent posted already, it doesn't work.
Well i would make a backup of everything you want, then download Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) and run it which will fix your phone but wipe everything on it.
Before you do that, have you gone to settings / Sony Ericsson / Auto search for internet settings? Then call At&t and have them check your connection. It could be your sim card.

I got a big problem that i can't resolve alone. I configure a new APN on my tab and i can access 3G+ but it seems my MMS profile doesn't work. I can't send or receive any MMS....
I join 2 different configurations for Android , one for HTC and the second for Samsung galaxy tab. Anyone can give me any solution to sent an MMS with that?

It would be helpful to post a little more details on your Vpad7 basics so that maybe, one of us can help figure it out or test our ROM:
Let's take a simplistic step-by-step approach first -
a. are you using stock/factory ROM or rooted, custom ROM including verison #
b. your mobile carrier for the SIM card, both SMS and MMS enabled & working on another quad-band GSM phone
c. SMS working on the Vpad7 as is - both incoming & outgoing
d. using the default Messaging feature/module installed or using something else,
and if you haven't try it already, download & use Handcent for SMS/MMS
f. if you have already done all or some of the above, do a Master Reset on the Vpad7 first to clear all the existing settings, boot into RECOVERY to wipe dalvik/cache/system, and then flash, as suggested, a different custom ROM.
g. any technical support or help from your mobile phone carrier

First , i've tried with standard rom. No succes. Then i flashed my vpad7 , installed TJ's rom and... same problem.
BTW you're true , i'll try my sim on another phone , try MMS. And i'll try to put another sim in my vpad7 too.
But , i just think one little thing is missing , because when i look at the other froyo's config , some little thing are changing between diferent phone model.
So , i think viewpad need a personnal configuration.
I got Gosms and tried to configure MMS on the program settings , but same problem.
I've called the technical support but can't help me and told me : "we have some configuration on website , try these , if it don't work , not our fault"

Ok , i tried all solutions and then:
My sim works on other phone , i can send MMS .
Another Sim on my viewpad ( different operator) , once configured , worked. So it's not a viewpad or sim problem , just a Digicel configuration problem.
Any solution?

I have a Htc Evo 4G synergy rom,I tried all fixes to no avail...I did happen to get internet working..so 1 day while texting my daughter ,we both use Go sms pro ,i went into the setting where you can doodle,well theres an attachment feature to insert images and add a picture...well it works!! And now my solution is here...works for me.

Since this moment I have problems with ID in calls and SMS.
When I receive a call all is fine, but if I receive an SMS its only display the number, no name appear, still the number is load in my contact list.
I have noticed that SMS arrives with country code prefix, in my case +54 (Argentina).
Then, in the contact list, I added the country code to the contact and the sms problem disappear, but when I receive a call, the number not match the list and only show me the number, no contact name.
I've installed ClockworkMod 6.0.3.3 for THL W8 following the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2237779
with no problem and made a backup of stock rom.
After that, I've installed GravityMod2 - custom ROM for THL W8 (4GB/8GB/16GB/W8+/Beyond) and apply the latest version of GravityBox following this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249808.
All done (factory reset, all wipes, etc). The ROM is excellent, all features included. Also I have applied General Patches included in GravityBox, but my problem persist. In the main features the GravityMod2 says "CallerID mappings fixed in Phone calls and Messaging".
If I duplicate the number for the contact (one with country code and the other without it) all problems out. But I think is not a very good solution.
Please could help me to solve this or to try do something else.
