Unless all 360 models are exempt from the update like the post says.
9to5Google is more specific which devices won't get:
LG G Watch
Samsung Gear Live
Moto 360 (2014)
Sony Smartwatch 3

No, my First Gen did not get the V2 update, just my 360 Sport, but it was very delayed.
I suspect that given the amount of specialized design on the 360 Sport, it's movement to this new version will also be delayed.
So has anyone received the Wear OS update yet?

This was my thought exactly!
I have read about a trick to force the update (by removing and reinstalling the Wear Os app at the watch), but it didn't work.
Wonder if there is any other way to do it.

Right, we are on the list. As of today no moto 360 2nd gen has gotten it yet. Google says it should be done rolling out by end of the week. Guess we have to wait a few more days.

Hi guys,
On my watch, some apps (such as citymapper) keep saying they won't work unless I update google play services. But when I try to it's stuck on "download pending". When I open the play store, I see that Wear OS also needs an update, but can't do it because it is also stuck on pending.
Anyone had a similar issue? I believe it might be related to this update.
Thanks
According to this Link, update is already started?

Yup, had a similar issue, my Google Play Services on mobile and watch were stuck to v11.xx.
I updated manually to v13 from APKmirror and that solved the problem. My mobile and watch are now in v14.3.66 updated by Google

First: Motorola is not responsible for the update, it's pushed by Google and they said until end of this month all supported watches will receive the update by end of this month.
Second, Google messed up the naming scheme, even the watch is shows Android Wear v2.16.0.214308073, this refers to the Wear application version, not the Wear OS version.

Is there a tutorial on how to do this?
No official one, so I give you my handmade tutorial
Go to https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/ and select the Google Play Service apk for your mobile!!!
You maybe have to check what version is installed on your mobile and then download the correct one for your mobile.
Copy the apk to your mobile and install from there.
Then you need to wait until Google updates the version on your watch.
As I said, worked for me
Cheers

Hiho
GTA:SA is incompatible with the Xperia Z Ultra yet it's listed on their page for supported devices: http://support.rockstargames.com/hc...reas-List-of-Supported-Android-Kindle-Devices
Anyone manage to get it for themselves?
I have the 6802 ( 68333 rom) in the USA and it won't show for me either :/
That's a negative.
Ugh It's so bad that it works perfectly fine when downloaded, yet I cannot buy it.

If you are rooted, you could have bought it.
Available in the Play Store for me, in the USA on my C6806, still on 257 until a root can found for 290 without unlocking the bootloader.
It's weird ....
In Germany I could not install SA on my C6833:
But Sascha from Mobilegeeks had no problem in Taipei:
Source: http://www.mobilegeeks.de/gta-san-a...s-auf-qualcomm-socs-nicht/#comment-1171532844
Not working either
It says its incompatible for my Xperia Z ultra in Australia, C6833, unlocked, Version 4.3.
Hope Rockstar fixes this.
Hmm?
So it appears it works for c6802 users and not c6833.
Yes I did download it for testing purposes but as I am going away for three weeks I need something to play on the flights so I just need to be "testing" it until I come home and can but it.
SHAME on Rockstar that allows the non-LTE version the game.
Oh yeah, I've got root on .257 firmware and I've tried with apps like Market Helper but yet I cannot buy it.
All that happens is attached in this image:
Just emailed rockstar customer service, maybe they will or can give an explanation.
I'm also not able to install this trough play store, C6833 Holland.

OK, I stand corrected
In that case, I'm guessing that the port was handled by the US arm of Rockstar where both the 6802 & 6806 are available from Sony US, and in regular use, and through negligence of thought, the 6833 was not added to the list of compatible devices.
Although you shouldn't have to, you could try changing the build.prop to have your device present itself as either the 6802 or 6806 to see if it's available to your in the meantime.

I emailed them the same thing for the "iFruit" app (companion app for GTA V), as it showed as not compatible with my 6833.
Even though I told them that it was a Z ULTRA, several times, they replied about 5 times the the issue was solved, telling me the Z was compatible.
I eventually gave up, downloaded on my Nexus 7 and transferred on the ZU.
They just don't give a sh*t.
If it was a Galaxy Note 3 they'd be running around like bees to find a solution for all the freaking sheep that bought it.
I have a niche device, ok, but please don't treat me as an idiot, because I'm definitely not.

Yeah, and that was a free app... i haven't even pirated it because I don't see the point, when I can download it on another device and transfer it to mine.
The point is that my Nexus 7 is rooted, so that I can access to the app I bought and transfer them, a thing not everyone do (though I admit, a Nexus device is 90% rooted ).
That stated, I will not be playing San Andreas because when I want to play, there are my Vita or 3DS waiting for me, and when I'm home, all the new and old gen consoles (not the X1 yet, but who knows).
I can't see myself playing with San Andreas (a game that I already finished on the PS2) on my ZU for more than 15 minutes before becoming bored and frustrated with the on screen buttons. And no, I won't bring a DualShock with me at work.
BTW, plenty of people to get your $7 from, RockStar, not from me, not this time. :good:
Received an "answer" from rockstar.....
Thank you for contacting Rockstar support. Please take a look at the link below to see if your device is compatible with our app or not. When I try and select an experimental feature that requires xposed, it tells me I need to activate the greenify xposed module (already active) and reboot. Doesn't matter how often I try, it still says the same thing. I'm sure it'll get sorted eventually. Nexus 5 with cm12 5.02.
Yes, that's what we've been saying. This problem does not occur only with Greenify.
I don't use many xposed models. I guess it's in alpha still. Should be happy with it being available at all. Sounds like it was a bit of work.

It's another view but I also think LG trying to fix old mistakes with Software Update part, It would be good if we could get Android M also
Generally firstly korean versions get update than int. versions get the updates. It looks like fake but I hope we get the update.
Btw if this update really exist the version number shouldn't be v40 should be v3X(except v30, exmple v35a for 5.1.1 update. if we get android m update it should be v40X)
It's normal that the baseband is the same as 5.0.2?

What makes you say that? First of all the update to 5.1.1 isnt a drastic overhaul and is needed to fix bugs that are currently present in 5.0. An android M update would require more work than the 5.1.1 update.
The only reasons we probably won't get android m are:
1. Too much work to update to M because of drastic changes
2. They could have decided to just leave the LG g2 with lollipop, which is fair given the 2 year period since release. Most phones don't get updates after a 2 year period. Except for nexus.
They should rather skip Android Lollipop 5.1.x and go straight to Android M IMHO.
Doing a 5.1.x release for the LG G2 is a waste of time when Android M is already around the corner.
At the time they will release a 5.1.x update, it is probably going to be outdated already because Android M will already be available...
So, LG, if you are reading this, please update the LG G2 directly to Android M instead. That woud be much better.
Regards

I dont think that the canadian variant is only the fault of LG. The telecom providers don't even know when their own devices are getting updated and cant provide valid information so we should blame both or none.
Btw if this is true then it will be the v40 update. I didn't knew any other LG device yet which got updated higher then v30(2 android version upgrades) ofcourse excluding nexus series.

Unfortunately, no pre-built developer preview images for the ZW2, though the source is apparently available. Has anyone looked at building a preview image on their own?

As with prerelease versions of regular Android the preview source only contains the changes they are required to publish because of their license. Example is the kernel with is GPL2 licensed requiring source code releases.
Android Wear 2.0 is definitely confirmed for the Zenwatch 2 any day now hopefully

I headed rumors that rollout for older watches might start next week.

Even though this may be true we have to keep in mind... That Google MAY be releasing the source to Manufactures on Feb 15. ASUS still needs to sign off on it essentially and hopefully not muck it up to much by making their own changes. I dont hopefully for see that but you never know! I had emailed ASUS myself the other day asking them if they had a scheduled date for the rollout and they responded they were not certain. I as well as all of you am very eager to see wear 2.0 arrive on our ZW2! I think a new breath of life will bring a whole new meaning to wearables!
Also in the email i received from ASUS they commented they will not roll out a factory image that can be flashed to the watch via PC. They do have their security updates posted on asus.com but apparently once they roll it out we will have to wait till it arrives on our watch and not just download it and flash it. Unless this rep was wrong however.
Just figured i would let you all know what ive found so far.
I asked Asus in twitter and got the stupid in the coming weeks standard reply

Yea if someone could grab the OTA.zip prior to installing it and pull it via ADB or fastboot then yes we should be able to use that instead of waiting on a slow rollout.
Guess we will have to see what happens!
Best of luck fellow ZW2 users!

Oh my god dude. I bought this in September waiting for Wear 2.0's release in December or "early q1". Now q2? Smh it's portable OS.
They confirmed early Q2: https://twitter.com/ASUSUSA/status/834868083022041093
I have more faith in Asteroid OS than this buggy Android wear crap!
Wear 2.0 is a pretty significant rewrite. I'd rather they get it right than get it fast.
Also, Wear 1.0, while largely just a remote notification system, still works just fine for what it is. The only major feature in 2.0 that I'm waiting for is truly local apps, so I can kill the stupid stub apps on my phone.

Just know that it is not okay to tease existing user and delay the release for about a year. And giving date release within weeks(months).

You can install local apps on android wear 1 with adb install, too. I did it for some apps already!

So you would rather have them rush it out buggy? Glad you aren't in charge of making those decisions.

Lel. I wouldn't rush anything. Google is the one rushing with the teaser. And postponing. I would rather tease something that is actually a thing without bug rather than a concept. Something what apple done for a long time now.

I would say that Asus is postponing not google. And the reason might be that they want to Asus Zen watch 3 first.

Asus waiting on google to release it.. Google with all it mighty tease things with misleading promotion. Those "few weeks" all over internet is such a bs. We cant really blame asus as even huawei that actually have developer build out still dont get AW2.0....

And the roll out begins.... :fingers-crossed:
http://www.gsmarena.com/android_711...general_mobile_4g_android_one_-news-21972.php
I will wait for 7.1.1 base Custom ROMs.:fingers-crossed:
I hate that the article says to "Start tapping that check for updates button." Google dismissed that a long time ago.
This is old article (2nd of Dec).. Also the OTA roll started for Android one device and not for Nexus/Pixel phones, However we are expecting 7.1.1 by this week.

Perfect.
But the hints dropped by Vodafone Australia said that the roll out will start from December 6th. Also 2nd December was just a couple of days back

Except Verizon, according to the images page. WTF is that all about?
as of right now, the latest update shows "7.1.1 (NMF26F, Dec 2016. All carriers except Verizon)".
since i'm on verizon, should i hold off on flashing this? anybody on verizon try flashing this?
Only Verizon holds up **** like this. I'm on Verizon too and this pisses me off. It's bad enough I can't get wifi calling on their system.

Fault Google... not Verizon.. Every Carrier wants to do their **** with controlling the OS on devices used on their carrier. Google doesn't have the balls like Apple to tell Verizon to GTFO. The whole point of Nexus is to circumvent carriers and get updates directly from Google.

To be fair wifi calling was never going to work on VZW for the 6P because they never officially supported the phone.
