Fingerprint sensor replacement

Hi guys,i ordered the phone before about half a year ago,and once i received it it was my first phone with a fp(fingerpring sensor) and i was so hyped about it so i played with it all day, after about 2 days it just stopped working,no rom problem no nothing,it just broke, and i got used to it and used a pattren instaed although it worked perfectly while it worked, and I'd really want it to come back,so today while browsing aliexpress i thought about it and saw this
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Bac...id=baedde05-db07-4a08-a385-9a1bcd59e493&tpp=1
So my question is,if ill order it,and tear the phone down according to a le 2 teardown tutorial(They look about the same,i think they're about the same except for the hardware),and replace the fp scanner, will it theoretically work?I want that scanner really bad.
I mean like,it didn't literally broke,it just wont respond anymore on any rom whatsoever.
So, did you replace it? What was the result?

Strange issue. Can anyone help? It's urgent please.

I'm having the dreaded touch lag issue on my poco device.
I've sent it back for repair or refund but they refuse to do anything since the touch tests pass.
I tried explaining them my previous 3 years old device is fine and that the poco which is much newer and faster should do this and they don't listen to me, they say that the device is working like the manufacturer intended for it to work.
So, can anyone record a video?
It should only take 2-3 minutes to record and upload. Do it in 480p it doesn't matter as long as it shows the issue.
There are 2 ways to do it, the correct way, and the fast way, I'll write both.
1) Go to about phone, kernel version, tap a few times then CIT testing app will open. (if it doesn't open try again)
Then go to the top right and press the three dot menu, then additional tools, then touch sensor.
Then tap really fast on the edges of the display. If your device is working as intended the touches should all be registered.
2) Download realdrum, and tap really fast on the below drums on the edge of the display, If your device is working as intended the drums should register all the inputs without missing.
Again it's urgent, so I could use all the help I can.
Thank you.
Did you tried your device without a case? I read about cases doing this issued.

Yes I have.
No change.
Is your device working correctly?
Could you upload a video?
Here's an example video of what the problem looks like.
Ignore that the language is not english, the video was recorded for the shop to see.

I feel for you. All the 7 pocophone I have tried have this annoying issue. I've complained and asked people about it, and who claims that theirs is working fine is either using Swiftkeyboard (which isn't as fast as Gboard), or simply doesn't know how to test this properly. Maybe they just don't notice it at all, but I doubt there's a single pocophone without this bug, and this is what made me give up on the phone.

Jesus christ 7 pocophones?
Wow.
God damn it Xiaomi, how can they release a faulty device and take no responsibility for it?
Samsung went ahead and recalled all the Note 7s that had the battery issue, a much more expensive and higher selling device.

2 returned from a retail store, 2 from amazon, 1 that I tried from a store and 2 more from friends of mine. It's absurd how bad their quality control is. They claim that it's software, just like they claimed the screen bleeding was part of the phone. They're a ****ing joke.
Do you have a screen protector on , or to be more specific, a tempered glass one with the black band? If so this is your issue because the black band is slight raising the contact. Have you tried pressing the device harder to see it it registers?

No screen protector, pressing harder doesn't affected the usage.
Most of the units if not all have this problem, I canceled my order for this phone recently and I'm glad that I did. Xiaomi had to save on something and they did, sadly on the screen. Screens from tianma are known for their not very good quality ( rumors say that they catch afterimages after time ) and it feels bad that it turned out that this phone is a big no no. Screen is a numero uno thing when it comes to a phone, damn u look and type on it so despite the great specification this phone is a crap. People all over miui forum write threads that their pocophones have input lag and ghost touches. Xiaomi knows about it and since a month clam that they gonna fix it via ota updates. Let me tell you something they won't. It's not possible to fix it because it's a faulty digitizer that causes the problem which is obviously a part of the hardware. That's what happens when you try to rock the world with the best spec budget smartphone and u cut costs in the lcd panel area. With all that being said, don't fall for this phone. If you look for the good phone for 300 bucks then better option imo is for example Lg g6. Don't get fooled and stay open minded guys, peace.

I completely and totally 100% agree with you.
Just waiting right now to get my refund.

Good decision, refund this crappy phone and get something better. When it comes to me xiaomi just lost a supporter and follower, once Hugo Barra left xiaomi everything started to fall apart ( mi mix 2/2s are not as revolutionary as the first mi mix was or the mi 8 which is nothing else than a iphone x copy ). It's always good to wait and see the very first 3 months after a phone release, usually after this time most of the fails/cons come out. Have a good day anyways

Just tried using CIT as well as really drums. Problem has been solved in latest beta 8.10.18
U can try and confirm. Scrolling on the edges is also smooth now and even keyboard is working fine.

Again you are right.
I became impatient with my old phone and that got the better of me.
Will keep those words at mind next time.
Have a good day as well pal.

Well, it doesn't change the fact that lcd panels in pocophones are poor quality. I don't really believe that they managed to fix it via updates, only time will tell after let's say a month if the problem is fixed. I don't think that it will, it's better to send the phone back, get ur money and wait. There are way better options for example the aforementioned one plus 6.
Working fine for me
For me it is working fine. I can't see the blue line which show the position but the touch is working fine even when I tap it fast. The touch is always registered without the blue lines. You can always see a red dot where you touched.

If u own the phone try stable 9.6.25 ( I haven't tried) or beta 8.10.18 ( I have tried with all types of tests) and then comment

And you try to understand smart boy that input lag is related to a hardware problem not a software problem, go and check by the way miui forums. There are plenty of people commenting that 9.6.25 didn't fix a thing.

The only way you get instant unlock (that only for the fortunate few) is when you have a Mi account already and were using some other Xioami phone connected to that. Then it recognises you as a genuine owner of POCO F1 and allows the unlock. Otherwise, wait for 72 hours.
It's just 3 days man the MI 8 guys have to wait 2 weeks lel

Log out of your current/old Mi Account.
Create a new Mi account (also necessary to associate a phone number with it) and log in with it.
Enable mobile data but disable wifi.
Go to developer options and go to Mi Unlock Status.
It will try to associate your new account with this device. Wait for it and it will give a toast notification that successfully linked.
Go back to developer options.
Enable OEM unlocking.
Press back button.
Click on developer options again and check if OEM unlocking is enabled or disabled.
If disabled, enable it again and repeat step 6 to step 9 till it asks you for your Lockscreen PIN/password.
After you enter PIN/Password, OEM unlocking will stay enabled.
Now try to unlock the bootloader using miunlock tool with new account. Your wait time should be reduced to 72 hours.

There is nothing to explain or doing anything special. When you add the F1 to your existing account, it should immediately allow you to unlock the bootloader. I have not heard of 360 hours. It was about three months to start with and then was gradually reduced by Xioami to 72 hrs.

The product head for Poco F1 Jai Mani said this on Twitter:
" We listened to your feedback on the bootloader unlock issue and have updated the policy for the @PocophoneGlobal F1. Most users should now be able to unlock within 3 days.
Please apply let us know if you are still facing problems
— Jai Mani (@jaimani) September 4, 2018"
Note it says "most users" and not all. So you and some others like you may be the unfortunate ones. Why it happens to you and some others, only Xiaomi alone can tell.
I just requested mine this week for my Mi 8 as I want to test (finally) Xiaomi.eu's MIUI port.
And all by my ignorance that I could do it in less than a month of starting to use it (November 18) but no... For some reason I never connected this particular server, which is different from Mi Cloud, etc. and now I have to wait two weeks and a day to have the approval...

Buying used poco

Hi folks how are you all doing?
So I have a question and maybe one of you will be able to awnser me.
I have a Mi6, but I got stolen last year, and a few months latter I managed to get it back. But I got it back with a few problems... The biggest one and the most annoying was the wifi, it just stopped working, I tried everything. The other annoying thing is that I only managed to install the stock rom, every other custom rom, even those MIUI based didn't work.
So, if with my original phone I already had a few problem after getting it "second hand", if I buy a used pocophone, would a simple clean up of the sellers phone enought to save me from some annoyances like the ones I had. I really doesn't like MIUI, the notification is so broke that unlocking it and installing a custom rom is a must for me
Thank you

Or u can buy 2nd hand Nokia(3,5,6,7,8), they r Good old buddies.
check xda before purchase that which device hav most community support.

Thank you for your reply.
I can actually buy a second hand oneplus 6 for 5~10% more than a brand new pocophone. But the 700mAh more of the poco, the lack of a wide used quick charge technology and the screen burn in is getting me away from this option.

As u wish.
My advice is always buy 2nd hand phone with decent hardware(quality, not quantity).
There's absolutely no harm in buying a used Poco F1 or any device for that matter, I've been buying used devices (only mobiles) since a long time and trust me I've had no issues so far. Make sure you're buying a fully functional device and there are no hardware related defects.
I'm currently using a Poco F1 that I bought few months ago and this is a used one too.
if you don't like MIUI on different level! don't buy MI fones again! I believe Mi6 was on Android ONe?
there are many other options for you to consider!
Samsung /Huwaie /Xperia /oneplus (6 is cheaper now) /nokia is on stock android but nokia has no flasher and minimum developement on xda
