So for some reason my battery got low and I was a call with my wife and the phone seemed to shut down. Then I tried powering it up and it had 1% battery life left. I plugged it in and the screen started flickering at random times between different degrees of brightness. I would turn the phone off and plug in the charger and there would be a dim light on the bottom left hand part of the screen. After a while, it went away but when I powered up the phone at around 23% it stilll flickered. Then all of a suddden it stopped flickering but now the brightness is all screwed up. The aforementioned lower left hand corner is the brightest and it fades to darkest at the right. And overall the phone isn't as bright as it once was. its almost as if a light bulb is burnt out behind the screen.
What could be going on. Is it hardware or software? I'm rooted with the olympain ROM.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
for a short time i also saw some kind of warbling in the middle of the screen, almost like a magnet was affecting it. teh fux?
Yesterday, my phone fell (not very hard, onto a carpeted floor). I picked it up and put it in my pocket without looking.. When I went to check my phone, it was off. I tried to turn it on, but it would only go to the HTC screen, then the screen would go black but the home icons would be lit up. I took the battery out and let it sit for a couple of hours. Tried to put it back in and the phone wouldn't turn on at all. I put it on the charger, it turned red for about 5 seconds, turned off, then repeats. If I try to turn the phone on, the LED light blinks a very dim red for 2 seconds then stops. I can't even hold the volume button and the power button, it just blinks the dim red. As far as I know, it is not rooted. I got it second hand about a year ago after my phone got stolen. I have never had any problems with it other than the camera.. It just stopped working eventually. Help?
Anytime you drop the phone, even if it wasn't a hard hit, it can damage something on the main board, which could be your problem. However, since you say the led is very dim red, that is a sign that the battery itself is damaged and won't charge. I would try to get a cheap battery off ebay to see if that's the problem.
You probably damaged some micro vital componants on your motherboard which is preventing your device to function in a normal way.
must be motherboard, or some other chip
last night i put my phone on charger and go to sleep, next morning i took the phone and it was off, i tried to power it up but green led lights low and display was bad, barelly readable, cannot see word tehnology on boot for example, atrix boots up but its extremly hot and i can not use display, i flash another rom but its the same... textures are bad, display is dark...

I just got my new Kingzone K1. Charged battery and then booted phone, after a few minutes the screen just started getting dim. Has a faint glow if held in dark area. I have tried Volume+ and power button and will not do anything but a slight vibrate and the dim screen. I have the phone plugged into the charger. Phone has solid green light. I don't know if this means it is charged or is charging. The only thing I know to do is send it back unless someone has ideas on getting it started or factory reset.
Thanks
So my problem began when i was returned a phone that was supposed to be sold for a friend. All was fine and dandy until my girlfriend noticed this light shining out from the depths of my jacket pocket, and what i found was said phone, with a black unresponsive screen as if the phone is powered off and wont power on, and its front led flash blinding me and everyone else in the room. Since i couldnt get it to turn on im unable to turn the light off, so i removed the battery and was quite pleased when the burning bright light finally was off. Aaaaaannnnnd way way LESS pleased when i put the battery back in its home only for the vile, invasive, and rude, light to turn back on as well. Any ideas? This isnt my phone and i need to return it sooooo.... Yeah
