go to settings > device connection .. bluetooth and nfc settings are there
Thank you, but I wanted to where it is on phone (hardware).
Located with the chipset, as far as I can tell it's the top left area, somewhere below the 'dual lens' text

sorry, i'm also sure that this could be tweaked somewhere (by a dev), but not under stock conditions (there is not user-setting for this)...
therefore, you would need someone to code/change this for you!

markus
I don't think it's possible , this is an Android limitation, but you don't need to make it visible everytime if your device was paired before with the device you want to connect. I paired my SII with my pc and if i want to quickly transfer a file from pc to SII i just activate bluetooth from notification bar and that's all.
Thanks for the response folks, i have to say this is utterly ridiculous, you should be able to make your device visible for as long as you want, surely someone has come up with a solution to this?

actually this is useful information thanks but i still think it's ridiculous that you only get 120 seconds visibility.
CM7 allows you to set it to never so it must be coding needed to do it
Hi all,
sorry for my bad English
I have bought a Galaxy S3 a few days ago
Problem is I can't use android beam on any other phone(i have tried testing with Xperia S)
When we enable android beam on both phones and stick them together nothing happens.
I also tried smart tag , It isn't working too
Is there any problem with NFC on my phone ?
How can I test it?
Thanks a lot
Android Beam doesn't use NFC but only Wifi Direct as far as I know.
Does your phone have an original battery with NFC antenna?

I also tested those BT headsets with Samsung Galaxy S2 and they worked correctly.

It does not work with certain network providers. In my country we have 3 cellular providers Pelephone,Cellcom, and Orange. Only Cellcom has a problem.
There is some kind of interference between BT transmission and Cellcom broadcast. My guess it is a HW issue in THL cellular phones.
So the best solution is to switch cellular provider.

I also found this bug in THL W100. This is probably design bug in all THL line of phones.
This phone is designed for Chineese market and I guess there were no problems with Chineese providers. Also they may have skipped some of the tests or limitations to reduce the phone price.
Aparently this is HW issue, so no software can fix it.
The only way to fix it is to switch the provider or give up the phone.

I also found another solution if you move your phone to GSM mode only, it also solves the problem.
This can be done in settings menu.
any other ideas ?

If you can just switch to another provider. It is the best way. I use Ramy-Levy. It works well.
Is there a solution for this?

Looks like i found a fix for this, problem is in one of the parameters of the audio speech enhancement settings.
this is what i did :
enter engineer mode through moble uncle tools or gravity mod.
go to hardware testing
select audio
select speech enhancement
change common parameter to BT earphone
change parameter0 to parameter12
change the value to 20488
press back several times
reboot phone and test it
i came to this solution by comparing the differences to my jiayu in witch this was recently solved.
THL W8-16GB
Jiayu G4 Advanced 2GB/32GB
SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB2 7.0
one extra problem
After making a call (I use Lenovo p780) when I'm on 3g, the phone "falls out" the network. It restore the connection in few seconds, but it's annoying. It doesn't happen always, but very frequent
When I change my phone to 2g mod, it works well, but in 3g- the problem is there
any solution?
I doubt it
lisawang said:
maybe 3g signal strength is not very good, you can use your SIM card change a phone to try.then you can know the problem is phone or the signal strength

Quick question about NFC on the RN9P. I don't seem to have NFC enabled on my device, nor do I find anything in the systems settings to enable NFC. I just installed DevCheck which confirms that my device is a Joyeuse, but in the Hardware section it tells me NFC Support = no.
Anything I might be missing here? Are there multiple versions of the RN9P with and without NFC?
I have the same model (global). And just downloaded the same app just for comparison, and mine display yes on NFC, even thou is turned off. Have you checked in the settings?

Could you post a print here of gps fix ? Mine is completely crazy. If I delete the cache in Google services it shows the right location for about 30 seconds then completely changes to the middle of the ocean.
Tried manu things but the problem persists
So I kind of find the problem. The gps is inverting the south coordinate and reporting it as north. No idea how to fix this
