Not really, they look nice but I get better battery life without.

No. I just haven't found one that I love.
Powered by Axura with a dash of Voodoo
i get bored with them too quickly. plus i think i get bettery battery results without it

for the most part... no.
i mean i use them from time to time maybe for a day or two. but i always find myself going back to normal wallpapers.. unless im showing off then i'd be like check this out lol
I've used microbes for a month. It looks good with gingerbread themed beautiful widgets. Also my battery lasts from 630 to 9.

I usually keep an empty (black) wallpaper. But that's just me
I used one from time to time until I found Solar Winds and I have been using it since (about 2 weeks) I have not seen any adverse effects on battery life. I still get 20-25 hours.

Vibrant w/ Nero v4.1 + Voodoo = Beastmode
I use them, I usually have the Nexus S live wallpaper, but just switched over to the Solar Winds one. I have a hard time using a stationary wallpaper now, I sigh when I see my boring desktop wallpaper!
Nope. It's nice to show off your Android phone Live Wallpaper to your friends, but for practical use, I would still just use a static wallpaper.
I think this poll should have more options because I barely use Live Walls but from time to time I do and keep it for a while.
I voted No but only because its only every so often that I do.
I use Live Wallpaper on my Samsung Vibrant its called Solar Winds its so cool!!!

Sometimes, but mostly I just keep a static one.
I mean, they look nice and all, but they drain your battery faster.
I used 8-bit waterfall for a while (recommended for game nerds) but it was harshing my battery. Then I used solar wind for a while but I just got over looking at moving **** all the time.

Yes. I'm using Original Flurry. Goes good with my black theme (Obsidian v5 beta).

I use microbes and the swirling galaxy. I bought the phone to use it, f all about batterylife, im where it can be charged usually and have the spare battery pack. I have no idea what battery life will be with a static wallpaper. My phone works great with nero, I was about to give up on it until I started putting roms on it

I too use a live wallpaper. I find my self partial to the nexus and nexus s style wallpapers so I use this one called pl3x highly customizable to the point where I experience little to no additional battery drain. On an average day I still get 16-20 hours worth of battery (50-100 txts, ~40MB web usage, no gps, no wifi, occasional tethering)

Poorly made live wallpapers have poor battery life. Well made live wallpapers like solar winds, however, have virtually no effect on battery life at all.
Does anyone know of an app for the G2 that will do this? I had one for my Galaxy, but it doesn't seem to work correctly with the G2.
Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk
I measured by cutting the cable in two then used a multimeter. Don't think there are any apps that can display it. Cus ether it's slowcharging 500ma or fastcharge 500ma+ and the only way the phone can tell is if the data pins are shortend.
Tried 4 different thay all give wrong values from 5a to 700ma. When I know it's 1.5

I think it's under menu - information - device.
Thanks!
Battery Monitor Widget does it, and if you have it monitoring or a widget on the launcher it'll record snapshots of the charging current so you can see how fast it was charging in the past as well.
Android Tuner should as well, but I haven't tried it.
Gsam does it.
Current Widget from app store.
Link
It will install 2 widgets. I use the text widget and customize it to make the font size 30.
The only current app you will ever need. My phone charges at 1600 mAh using stock LG charger. From PC USB3 port, it charges between 200-300 mAh.
:good:
Current Widget is the way to go if all you want is to know Current, Temperature, Voltage, and Percent.
I can confirm that it works on the sprint G2.
Simple widget displays it all.
It also can log the readings at custom intervals.

Is there one that works for wireless charging? They all detect that it's charging, but only show about 14-15mA
came across app for amoled screen called pixel battery saver on play store
a different way to save battery..... worked well for me
Yep...it's good but my point is .... What is the use of super crispy display when we decrease the pixel density. For battery juice we have several other options. Like fast charging replaceable battery. Besides that in battery saving setting we have option to reduce brightness which is not so customizable as in the app but it works well.
Anyways, people may have different opinion on this.
Very good app! I use it for about a week now and i'm feeling the differences.

interesting...... I wonder how it would kill pixels...... the phone itself would be turning pixel off and on all the time... going from dark to bright on ongoing basis

What do you use for best battery savings white not degrading screen quality too much?
Also does it save more battery then simple grayscale mode?

I see what you're saying and I agree, however sometimes you just need to make it through the day, which for heavy users like myself is not an easy task on the Note 4.
I used to love this app, and was so disappointed when it got shut down. So I contacted the owners, bought it, and revitalized it this week. It's on the play store, called Checkerboard Pixel Mesh

Power bank or extra battery will help.
My phone last for a day with LTE connectivity all the time if there is no wIFI.
4 to 5 hours SOT with 15 to 17 hours of battery.
Im using eRobot 5.1.1 spaceX kernel.
This is now my 4th day and I am very satisfied.

I got my Moto Z with battery pack for almost a week now
It seems battery mod drains faster than internal
With normal usage and both fully charged, mod takes around 5 hours to drop to 30% and internal at 100%
Without mod it takes a 10-12 hours for internal to drop to 40%
So after playing around and checking stats I noticed the phone accept the battery mod as an external charger
when battery mod is connected its like it is connected to charger so it wont doze or deep sleep and so that causes the battery mod drain very fast
So ...
for those who got the battery mod, I think its best not to connect the battery mod all the time, and use it as a charger when needed.
Are you using @janjan his ROM? There are some optimizations, battery saving not the least. You also should have the mode set to Efficiency Mode and not Standard, as Standard drains more power to keep the battery at 100% all the time, while Efficiency is much better for both the Internal Battery and Battery Pack.

I'm using @JackyGreen Rom, but will try @janjan too
The deference between standard and efficiency mode is not much, tried both.
As soon as battery drop to 80% which took around 3-4 hours on my average daily usage, it will be the same,
Phone uses mod as charger and will not sleep/doze and drain all the mod juice to keep battery at 80% and that takes up to 4-5 hours max.
I think its best if the mode has a 3rd option,
for example, start charging the phone at 50% and go up to 80%

Me too... I'm not sure if this can be obtained by kernel or by Rom (system)...
This could be a good tip for @janjan or @erfanoabdi for their future development... :fingers-crossed:

Any way to make the battery mod a bit more convenient would be much appreciated.
For now, I just keep it in my car dashboard and use it as a charger when needed.
I've noticed that my phone seems to doze when the battery pack is connected. Obviously it isn't as much as if the battery pack isn't connect, but my phone will sleep even with the mod connected. The behavior oddly didn't seem to appear until after about a weekof using the mod, but I can confirm that the battery pack does not keep the phone away as much as a regular external battery would

I'm testing my Moto Z with my Incipio and I don't see this behaviour on my phone: as soon as the main battery reach 80%, the charge start only every some minutes for short time laps just to mantain the 80% level...
This shouldn't create big issues with Doze mode and sleeping since of the short periods of charging... just look at the attached explaining screenshot...
To answer to topic question, in my first days of use, it seems to me that Incipio battery is a lot more efficient if used to throttle charging Moto Z ever @80% than toe charging it from lower levels.
In the second case it discharges very fast, while in first one it seems able to do it's work very efficiently with lower discharge rates... :fingers-crossed:
These are only impressions obviously...
Are there any cases/bumpers for the phone with the Incipio pack? It's a little slippery for me, so was hoping for a bumper that has some soft ridges or is matte.

Hi, I use a Moto Z but do not have the battery mod. But theoretically, you could hack in a way to control the charging of your phone with the battery mod even while keeping it plugged in all the time. You'll have to open up the battery mod and solder a miniature switch between the VCC line of the mod to the connector pin interface on the mod to do this. So only when the switch is closed, the mod starts to charge the device.
Like I said I do not have a battery mod to try this, but this is probably the easiest way to do it.

Battery life is too soon to say.
I have attached the changelog in this attachement.
Same version number, but different size and changelog?
Does it fix notifications (persistent)?

Updated this afternoon. Battery seems better, since "android" app consumption is about 3% now (before was around 10%).

Definitely much better battery backup in 10.2.28.0. Android apps were about 25% before and now are just 11%. Standby drain is improved.

It's very fickle. Today it consumed 9% battery in 6 hours of sleep.
Just updated to the latest version. Always on screen mode display the battery now
REVIEW of the update 3 days in
I like it, and I don't like it.
Here's why I like it:
It finally fixed the colors for 10.2.26.0 where the AMOLED panel looked washed out like an LCD. The colors are comparable to an S9 now.
The battery notification on the Ambient display was wanted, but after a week or two of seeing the ambient display without it, I want a toggle, honestly.
Battery life seems to have become better? I have no idea, I feel like I just won about 20% more battery life with this update.
The display finally doesn't give me half a seizure when it doesn't properly detect my fingerprint anymore.
THEY FINALLY INCREASED APP SIZE ALL THE WAY TO THE NOTCH, and that basically means we can have almost full screen apps now that touch the notch.
Video recording mode finally started looking brighter as the judder/stutter/locking got heavily reduced.
Here's why I don't like it:
Audio quality through the dongle headphone jack seems poor now. How's that possible?
The update states pocket mode is enabled ( a much needed update for this phone ) yet it's nowhere to be found.
The notifications bar is not centered, it was left where it was before they fixed the notification bar size and it looks out of place when different color notification bar appears.
The camera sometimes hangs for a bit when you lock the screen with the camera app opened and open it again with the double power tap.
We still don't have an option to fully cancel out the notch for apps (so that they ignore it, don't know it's there and they just move on, some apps result in a black top bar in landscape mode where the notch stands and it's infuriating)
Still no DC dimming available, which is just stupid at this point seeing as the Chinese variant has it for what... 1+ months now?
Still no Game Turbo 2.0
We got the June Security Patch instead of the July one (and we still have to wait to see if we actually got the June one and it's not just fake)
Still no notifications toggle for quick full screen gestures mode from on screen buttons and vice versa
Still no on screen button for manual screen flip if auto rotation is disabled
Still no on screen quick buttons for the screenshot menu
Still no most recent Camera UI
There is still some judder/locking up when recording H.265 Image Stabilization 4K30 and even 1080p30.
Night mode still feels messy and bad (thank god for GCAM)
Ambient display sometimes turns grey and the sun/moon disappears completely
And that's about what I noticed with this update. It's heavily appreciated but I still feel as if we are at least 2-3 patches away from actually getting that device that can get an "It's alright" mark with it's stock fimware. It feels really annoying to see that the chinese variant gets patches way, way before EU gets them, and I'm thinking of jumping on the Xiaomi.eu ROM but I like keeping the device fresh and basically untouched. However, I'm dying to see the 84Hz mod in action.
Edit: I have tested the video function further. The UI definitely sees more lag but the final video has very, very few moments when it actually stutters/freezes.
Battery drain at night appears to be 4% for me. I do disable wifi and mobile data though.
For those unlocked and needing the TWRP ZIP for 10.2.28 EEA, don't forget to check on Miblog.co, they have all the files !
Very bad battery drain at night after update to EEA 10.2.28.0. I just saw to Global 10.2.13 to see if it get better.
