I'm facing a bug where if I type 3 numbers into my dialler, eg: 014. And those numbers don't show any calls I have previously made with numbers beginning with 014 the dialer will close. I'm forced to save unrecognised numbers before I call them.
All my apps are default, everything is stock and the phone is only 2 weeks from a fresh factory reset.

I have this small but very annoying problem with a stock contacts.
When I have the calling card phone numbers in a single contact that all starts with the same 1800 number and then after the pause (,) the actual number to call, the contacts app shows only the first one.
Example:
contact with
18000000000,0110000000001
18000000000,0110000000002
18000000000,0110000000003
Shows only the first entry for the phone available to dial.
Any solutions? I've tried a few third party apps but those that show the numbers correctly don't dial it. They basically skip the , in the dialer.
Since around the beginning of March I noticed that my phone is showing completely random numbers for all outgoing calls for people that I have in my contacts list. The numbers that it shows are not numbers that I have dialed or received calls from in the past. (If I long-press one of the dialed numbers, the "Call +***-***-****" line displays the correct number), so it seems to be more of an appearance issue. The numbers displayed seem to be consistent for the person I call. I do not remember making any changes around the time this started, but I did notice it about 1 week after it started, so I don't remember exactly.
The correct person is displayed, just a completely random number. When I called Verizon they had never heard of this issue, and the numbers it is displaying are not Verizon numbers. The area codes for the numbers are for completely different parts of the country.
The only dialing related program I have installed is Google Voice, but I am not making these calls using it.
Complete factory reset fixes it, but I don't want that so I did a nandroid restore afterwards. Clearing the recent calls list does not fix the issue.
See attachment for image of what it is doing. I would have linked it but apparently I need 8 more posts to do so.

A relative of mine uses Samsung Galaxy S Duos which runs on Android 4.0.4. Recently, a very curious problem has come up. The dialler shows a red "1" as it would when there is one unseen call log. This happens all the time, even when there is no unread notification or even where there are multiple, it just keeps showing 1 unseen call log. I tried deleting the entire call log, re-starting the phone and clearing all data of the Phone app. Nothing worked. It's really irksome. Please suggest a way that doesn't include factory reset or flash.
Struggling with a recent problem.
Using omega 43.3... I've no idea if that is the problem or not, but can't remember it happening before that (was omega 30ish before)
When I receive an SMS (using Handcent as default), the notification shows and if I click on it, it takes me to the Handcent threaded screen. However, if I then close that and it opens the default window (with all the contacts sms listed) it isn't there. If I then close Handcent, and then reopen it, it is?!
The same thing is happening with Call Log... Missed calls etc aren't showing when I access them from the dropdown menu... unless I then close the Call Log app and then go back into it.
I've tried various kernels and modems, and also tried reinstalling handcent, wiping cache/dalvic, fixing permissions etc. Nothing seems to make a difference. Currently on stock modem and kernel

I had this problem on JB 4.3 stock samsung sm-n7505 and after zillion read pages about it and rebooting and removing battery and sim and after I deleted entire contact list (by mistake) it turned out that it was the most idiotic problem you can ever think of.
While was in the tight pocket phone unlocked somehow(using pattern) and simply unchecked box (which is deep in the menu) "use network provided time/date" and date was set to a date 5 days earlier. So, all logs and messages were actually in the phone(I could see them in notifications and could send messages and calls), only I did not see them because they were back in the list in the place of 5 days ago. I just checked the damn box and everything was normal again(except my contact list (( ) Crazy. Hope my small contribution will help somebody. Rock on!!!! :good:
I am facing a weird issue with dialer. with almost all ROMs out there on my mido. (LOS as well as AOSP based)
cannot hang up on call immediately after dialing a number, without being the dialed party getting a missed call.
say I dialed a number by mistake and noticed immediately and hit on disconnect, it'll take 3 or 4 seconds to hang up, by that time the called number would have got missed call from me.
I've tried using third party dialers from play store but it happens on all of them
any help?
PS : I've checked phone permissions and revoked dialer permissions for unnecessary apps but that didn't help too
