Hello All,
Title of this thread might be misleading but I want to share with you all one suspicious activity in my FB account after I bought POCO F1.
I have attached the screenshots below. From the time/day I bought POCO F1, My account have started liking random pages from various countries like Germany, Russia but mostly from China.
I had activated 2 step verification on FB which was automatically deactivated.
Well this might not be related to POCO Phone, but this suspicious activity has started from the day I bought this Phone.
And I am pretty much sure about my password not being leaked to anyone else as I personally take more precautions about this and know the consequences very well.
So the probability of someone from my acquaintance knowing the password is very less and even if someone knows, liking random pages doesnt makes any sense.
You all can also check if your account has this activity ongoing by going to 'Settings' - 'Access Your Information' - 'Likes and Reactions' - 'Pages'. Please share this If someone else has same activity.

Yes mine was also blocked and asked to change password.
It's just that i have random page likes, I couldn't find anything else as of now.
It can be a hidden gift/blootware installed by the seller . Have you bought poco from the same source ?
Whats this?
I have no Facebook installed, nor do i have a account
no issue on mine, using facebook lite only....

I've been trying to search but haven't found anything on this issue. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a number of apps that appeared on my All Apps list without me ever even installing them.

The two by martetrut and the casino one. I tried searching my phone for any trace of these apps and found nothing other than their appearance on this list.
Today, I looked at my list and now more mystery apps have appeared, with another app by that martetrut dev.
I downloaded lookout and Norton and ran several scans and they didn't pick up anything.... I'm a little concerned.
Anyone have any idea on what's causing this or had a similar experience? I'd appreciate any help/input.
If it matters, I'm completely stock.

Someone may be using your account to download apps. go to play.google.com on your computer, click on the gear in the upper right corner and go to My Orders & Settings.
The Orders tab can show you when the apps in question were downloaded.
Click on the Settings Tab and look under devices to make sure only your phone is listed.
Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to delete or unauthorize a device, but at least you'll know if someone else is causing those apps to show up or not.
Best thing to do is change your account password.

Yes, this was my first thought. I would guess someone is using your account to download apps on another device.
as other users said, it's probably someone else using your account.
maybe you gave/sold your old android phone to someone without wiping data.
btw, changing your password can be a good solution
Does anyone have any idea what this means? Or have it on their devices? I factory reset the tablet when I got it, so I can't think there'd be anything wrong with it from that perspective. My guess it has something to do with the user profiles being messed up or something. It's just a little message that sits right beneath my Quick Toggle tiles.

This is the message you get when you tap on it:
The "null" field leads me to believe that it's a user profile screw-up. Any ideas or information would be much appreciated!
It's because you enabled my xperia so your able to track where your device is ?

Nope! Just checked in Security->My Xperia, and it hasn't been activated, and in Device Administrators, it is unchecked! :/

check out the Proxy Setting and VPN
if nothing set ask your operator about it
:good:
I got the same notification last night, with the same "null". I don't have a SIM-card in my Z4 tablet and every other device works fine in the WLAN, so I guess I won't have to worry.. (?)

No Proxy settings or VPN active... And I would like to contact my operator or the distributor, but I got it shipped from Hong Kong, so I doubt they have anyone that speaks much English, and I only know a little Mandarin.

Maybe that's the cause of it. I never put a SIM into my Xperia Z4 either. I'll try taking my SIM out of my phone and sticking it in there later tn and see if that does anything.
I synced my work account with the email app and also have this msg.
I have the same message after 1 week of using on the WiFi version SGP712
I own a Verizon Galaxy s9+ and A galaxy tab s3. For the past few months I've noticed strange things going on with my phone and for at least 6 months on my tablet. Even factory resets don't solve this. I feel like I've googled everything to no avail. I started to think I was just crazy, until the other day I went to add a new account to my phone, an email account, and noticed something strange under accounts. I don't see any abnormal accounts under "accounts" in settings, but when I click "add account" there is a strange icon with no title next to it, like its hidden, and it has the green circle next to it like its been added, but I can't click or see what it is. Please help! I used to be super nosey on my bfs phone and now wondering if he's had something on mine for a while as well?? Thank you!!

Hi , I'm not sure but I think maybe some spy app is installed on your phone : / . Check if your phone has Official firmware .
To do that , follow this video instruction :

First time I see something like that ...

A factory reset will not help with many spying apps. Best you can do is send the device back unless have an unlocked bootloader. Then you can format all partitions and add apps back one by one.
To be honest. If something is like this is needed. Then move on. The relationship was already dead.
I previously asked this on the Xiaomi Poco Forum but didn't get much help. As I have a Poco with stock rom and still locked so I didn't think you would welcome my question here. However you are very knowledgeable people so perhaps you can help.
The attached screenshot shows the window that opens after i have clicked the Trash Cleaner notification. At the bottom is the option to have Folder Names uploaded to Cheetah Mobile's database.
Cheetah Mobile are a company that admit to selling peoples data and have recently had similar apps to this pulled from the Google Play store, It doesn't seem to be delete able and I'm not sure the acceptance slider switch would actually do what it is meant to. Perhaps that's just me being cynical.
Is this as concerning as it seems?
Thanks for the help.

Given the reputation of the company, if I were you, I would not use it. In fact I was using their browser before learning about the activities of the company and subsequently uninstalled it and formatted my phone.
EDIT: You are welcome here even if you are on stock, unrooted with unlocked bootloader. This is a place for learning and mutual help.
android apps are going back to default settings after reboot.
I generally limit some apps from running in the background and change some permission settings and toggle off the "change permission if unused". The thing is my apps are going back to the initial settings and permissions after i reboot the device (sometimes) the other day i reboot it and everything wasn't changed. But i power off the phone and let it off like 24 hours and it happened again everything was back to default and permissions too.
Does anyone know what might be causing this problem and if it has a fixed or work around??? Thanks in advance
I have that problem too. After every restart, I have to set up tasker and similar apps again.
I forwarded your question to the official asus forum.
Thank you so much
update: after the latest August update. this appears to be fixed, im not having this issue any more.
