Did you root your phone?
Have you stopped any service under the application menu?
Try a hard reset, that might help

Ok so check if all android services are up and running. Some ROMS turn off certain services, go check under General > apps > All and see if there is any service stopped.
- You may hard reset or reflash as well
I've tried running Puzzels and Dragons on genymotion with a Nexus 5 Android Version 4.4.2. Everytime I open it, it just stops working, with the message, PAD has stopped, help >.<

where did you get that ?
playstore or website ?
make sure you're downloaded from playstore, if not, then you need an app that can remove license verification, which is not allowed in this forum
or as an alternative, turn on the Wi-Fi connection, no need really connection, just turn on then open it again

yeah it will clear all your data but you can gain it again easily and if doesnt work maybe you change your phone number by buying a new sim card
Any solutions for this? I'm struck with this issue now! Its ridiculous how an app with a Billion downloads has such sh!tty quality control.
I came here because same has happened to me just now and I have been on it for a while... it asked me to wait 21 hours... anyway, the solution was simply to uninstall whatsapp, I then restarted my phone and re-installed whatsapp from google play store... that was all.

go to settings -> apps -> whatsapp -> clear cache ->uninstall -> reboot ->playstore -> whatsapp install ----> and you've done.
i did this method and it worked.
Does any body try this ?? I did but it didn't work ..
im having the same issue, any solutions?
patience!
I had the same problem.
I installed and reinstalled whatsapp so many times in a day that it blocked me for 24 hours, I tried all the options available here but nothing worked.
The only option which worked for me(i tried this option many times and it worked) :
Whenever whatsapp ask to wait for 24 hours or more, exit whatsapp> switch off the phone> leave it for like 1 hour(or more)>after that switch on and try it.
It may give you one or two try, if you fail that again then you have to repeat the above option again.
I have the same problem and none of the solutions listed in this thread has worked for me —might be due to all the updates that have been since then.
I installed and verified WhatsApp. For some reason, I had to perform a factory reset and since then it has refused to verify my number (which didn't have a problem just that same morning).
If I try a text it says that I recently connected and that I should wait an hour, same thing if I try a call. I have waited several hours and even days, always with the same result —which is why I think it's some kind of bug.
I still have the SMS from a couple days ago but it won't take my verification number: "You have to touch Resend SMS or Call Me first".
I tried to contact WhatsApp support but they were useless —as expected.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you, guys.
BTW, this problem also happened to me with stock everything, no root, no kernel, no nothing (except oem unlock).
Sometimes (not everytime, but a lot of times, so it´s bothering) when I click a media (photo or video) in whatsapp, and I press the back button, whatsapp freezes for about 30 seconds, I can pull the drawer and use the phone normally, but if I try to use whatsapp, it just hangs there and eventually comes back. This started happening with Lollipop and older versions of whatsapp, but it´s still bothering me even after a clean flash and Im now on 6.01 with Elemental X 6.11 on my Nexus 5. I´ve tried diferent default media players but same thing happens. I contact whatsapp and at first they blamed my phone being modified (rooted), but it happened after a clean stock flash also. Please can anyone help me diagnose this?
I saved a video of the problem so you can see what I mean: https://plus.google.com/+TarcísioLopesGFC/posts/2fum2Nd2RY5
Thank you

Were you able to solve this?
Is your bootloader unlocked? Mine is... maybe that´s causing it?
On 2.9 version, mm 6.01, mokee rom, boost mode, experiencing constant 'sign in to network ' notifications for both cellular and WiFi networks while the network connection is ok.
Screen is attached.
I have the same issue. It even says 'no internet connection. But all works fine. Its bothering me though.

And even more. I disabled all the settings in greenify one by one and then disabled the exposed module, then reboot, then deleted greenify via force stop/clear data/uninstall, then cleared all the caches and... Nothing happened. The notifications are still here.
The only difference I see the Internet speed is seemingly lower. So, I've run Google fiber test and found it says 'no servers responded '.
So, there is a problem.
Taking into account I see no other answers here, I will re-flash the rom keeping my data. Hope, the changes were made to system, so it should help.
I didnt have the issue by reflashing. It just suddenly started to happen. I gonna flash my ROM to the latest and hope it gets resolved. This is a dealbreaker for me. Hope it gets solved fast.

No, the problem occured not after a rom reflash, but just after greenify installation. I used system reflash in hopes to fix the issue. But it doesn't help. Seems, the changes are somewhere in data and I just don't know where.

Okay, seems there is a way to fix it, close to what you've found: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...ction-how-to-remove-exclamation-mark-on-wi-fi
The steps:
1. You should be rooted
2. Install any terminal emulator
3. Run it
4. Enter su
5. press enter
6. Enter
settings put global captive_portal_detection_enabled 0
7. Press enter
8. Reboot
I've check it and it works for me.
I'm not sure it's the best solution, but it works for this problem at least.
Damn im a noob i cant even post an Image here. I did the Steps u Said but I get : global captive_portal_detection_enabled 0

You must enter first command
su
After that press
enter
And then copy the whole line of the command
settings put global captive_portal_detection_enabled 0
And then press
enter
again.
On the second screen you made it correct but forget to enter
su
before

Thanks a lot men I think its fixed.
But now, as I supposed, the sign in to networks, which really need sign in (all public hotspots), doesn't throw out the notification.
I suppose it's still possible to sign via browser, but...
Worked for me
Thanks Bro! It worked for my mokee L 5.1 Rom on xiaomi Redmi 1s

Thanks for this! I recently received the OTA update to 7.1.1 on my Nexus 6P. After the update, it kept pestering me to sign into my company's wifi portal page. When I clicked the alert, the page would load and then the entire window would close. If I tried again, the same thing would happen. The alert would immediately return and I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. I'm not using Greenify so I hope this solution helps others who have a similar problem.
Thanks. It worked for me.
