Hey guys. I was removing a glued screen protector and got rubbing alcohol in the USB port, setting off the moisture warning.
Does it ever go off?
Does anybody know how to kill the notification?
Thanks
Nevermind. Hairdryer finally took care of it.

I replaced the screen on my phone myself but somehow i lost the little flap that goes over the touchscreen connector, does anyone know where i could find a replacement piece for that? Or if there is something else i might be able to substitute for that?
Hi! I don't think that such small pieces are sold without connectors. I advice you to try some duct tape to fix that cable in socket. After assembling the phone cables won't get out from sockets.
alright i appreciate it, i wasnt sure if it was safe to try tape or not, thanks
Strange happens to me last time with my mobile.
I had to work in rainy day so i putted my phone in a packet
and found that my mobile started to be wet, pulled out and saw a few drops
in USB area, when came home to charge the mobile phone, plugged in the cable
and by mistake i pulled out the cable but the sign in the notifications showed that the phone still charges. that when the strange begins.
Day after, i tried to connect the mobile to PC and no recognition, but it's charges the phone.
when pulling out, still writen that the phone is still in the charger.
what can be wrong?
Dried drying it out?
if you have a hot water cuboard, put it in there in a container with some raw rice, this should draw any moisture out?
It was a little touching there, it's dry from the same day...

anyone have an idea? it's can be fixed?
it sounds like one of the connections in usb port has been damaged by water.
you may need to replace the usb port.
Water in the USB port.dry it out and if that doesnt work then its been damaged when you plugged it in when it was wet possible causing a short circuit.Service centre.
Hi all,
I have a weird problem.
Since a few days the car dock keeps popping up.
But this isn't the only issue.
Also sometimes the battery seems to be charging without any cables attached ( wireless power? )
Also i cannot connect my SGS2 to any PC.
I ordered an USB JIG and downloaded the original firmware for my SGS2 to send it back to Samsung.
Is there any who has a solution for this issue? So i don't have to send it and have to miss my phone ?
Thanks in advance.

Check the usb port. Probably dirty. Try cleaning gently with a dry toothbrush. If that doesn't work, try taking out the battery and cleaning with a q tip and rubbing alcohol. Let it dry completely before putting battery back in.

EDIT: when I said " If that doesn't work, try taking out the battery and cleaning with a q tip and rubbing alcohol. Let it dry completely before putting battery back in.", the cleaning I was referring to was the USB port. Not the battery. Just to be clear.
I opened my tablet to try and fix the signal strength on my wifi and gps. everything was going great until my screen turned a little and bam... the ribbon cable came out of the connector. When I went to pry the lock up it broke(very cheap connector). I tried to insert the ribbon back in but I noticed when some of the black plasctic that broke away there were wires that seemed to run through it. Anyway long story short. Can I remove the connector and wire the ribbon to the board? Is there anyway to fix it other than ordering a new pcb board? Any ideas would be appreciated. It is working now but there are spots on the screen that do not accept input or touch. I have used electrical tape to tape it in place for now. Thanks inn advance!
Sorry bro I think your s.o.l. those ribbon s are not really repairable and the main display one j think has 24 connectors or so. Soldering those is next to impossible. Same with the touch panel ones.

So I replaced the digitizer on my dna and afterwards I get no response from the phone. So I was thinking the screen was DOA, and I ordered another digitizer from a different seller on ebay and still got nothing. I plugged it into the pc to see if I could force it on, I did the hard reset, and stilll no response. All cables are perfectly fine and were cleaned with alcohol. Bought a new battery and still nothing. What could it be? Help please.
sounds to be a motherboard issue
Double check those ribbon cables that go from the main board to the front camera/headphone Jack. The ones held on with two screws . Unhooking them and reseat , be sure your hearing or feeling a click. They are very precise.. if you are absolutely sure they are seated correctly redo battery connection. .... if all checks out .... just place it on charge for a long time. Maybe your board is dead
