Can anyone confirm charging rates on some non Huawei made chargers,
For example:
Quick charger 3.0 18W
Power delivery charger 18W
Power delivery charger 30W
Power delivery charger 45W and higher
And normal chargers with 5v/2a
Whatever chargers you got, make a volt/amps test

NONE of them fast charge my S9+ even though when I use the wall charger it fast charges. I even have a USB power meter to confirm that these power banks are only outputting 5V 1A.
I don't get it, works with wall charger, but not with power bank.. Anyone else have this issue, or can recommend a power bank that actually does fast charge?
SO FRUSTRATING!

Yeah, I don't get it. I thought it was just my phone, but then I tried my friends with the same result. Maybe it's got something to do with the carrier software? But I'm on Bell and my friend's on Rogers, so unless it's a Canadian thing.. weird.
My Xperia 1 (J8170) cannot trigger USB-PD properly with 3rd party chargers. Sony stock charger can always trigger USB-PD properly.
If I connect the chargers with cable and then plug the charger to AC, it will charge in its maximum rate. In AIDA64, it shows the charging current is 2xxx mA. This current reading is same with Sony stock charger.
However, if I plug the charger on AC first, Xperia 1 will only charge itself at a current below 1500 mA (also in AIDA64)
The chargers I tried:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S933QDZ/
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SQVHPDQ/
I have the same result with a power bank that should support [email protected] PD charge. But I didn't try to connect the phone first…
Manufacturers can do their own protocol for PD from what I read, so it's really troublesome to find third party compatible device :/
Try getting an anker USB-PD charger. Mine works fine with it. This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charger-Delivery-PowerPort-MateBook/dp/B06Y427WT7
I think I figured out the problem. By testing the protocol with TC66 USB type-C multimeter, Sony stock charger is doing USB PD 3.0 PPS protocol, but the 3rd party chargers I used can only do USB-PD 2.0 or 3.0 without PPS. The cellphone do not try to trigger USB-PD without PPS if it fails to trigger PPS. It will fall back to regular 5V 1.5A charging.

Ho! Thank you! This information will be usefull!
my Anker - PowerPort Atom PD 1 USB Type C Wall Charger - White works well for PD
I'm using power bank with PD support and got issues with anker A1281. Tried two more and got the same problem. It really not easy to find.

Will the Samsung 25w charger works with the xperia series? It has both pd3.0 and pps
Hi, I would like to ask about SuperDart 65W (10V, 6.5A) from Realme 7 Pro. It charges every of its two batteries at 5V and 6.5A (32.5W each) but I found information that it suppots Power Delivery and Quick Charge 18W as well. With PD and QC you can charge the battery at 9V , 12V, 15V etc. but not 10V. Does anyone know at what voltage the smartphone will be charged if you use PD or QC charger?
Is it safe to charge it with higher/less voltage? (e.g. 2x4.5V or 2x6V if 5V is needed for one battery)
And what about the standard 5V chargers and usb 3.1 (e.g laptop)? Is it possible to charge 7 Pro with it?
Generally, all fast charges will drop ther voltage when the connected phone doesn't support it.
With lower voltage you wont have any problems other than the speed of charging, which will obviously decrease
Standard 5V chargers will work just fine
Normal laptop usb will work just fine, in fact you will be lucky if the laptop supports any sort of fast charging at all
You are 100% safe to charge with pretty much any charger to my understandment
There are many charges out there and also many topics proves that Google Pixel 6 does not charge faster despite 30W fast chargers. I have two questions.
1. Can I go for anker 25w charger or 20w is sufficient. Also the third party chargers are good for battery health in long run.
2. My car charger I use currently for my Pixel 4 XL is 3amp. Again here, can I continue using it if it does not harm the battery health in a long run.
Posting the link below for anker 25w charger if it's good enough.

I bought massive 65W ugreen charger so that i can also use it for my laptop. Btw cable from pixel 6 works also with the laptop so is good quality. Using that charger with 35% battery when charging started i see charging current of around 4300 mAh which at 5V means around 22W maximum consumption. Any charger of 20W or higher should work great if it supports power delivery of course.
You can use any USB-C Power Delivery and/or PPS charger. I'm not sure what the Pixel 6 max charging rate is, the phone should negotiate the fastest rate the charger can handle.

I have the Anker Nano II 30W charger. It has all the PPS modes. Works great. According to FKM, a charge from 65-75% averaged around 27.7w. Haven't tested any further than that yet, though.
Actually I'm unable to get 30 w PPS chargers locally. So can I go with the below if it is safe for battery health and also does the job with intelligence of pps.

What charging speeds can you get with QC, USB-PD or USB-PD PPS chargers? Higher than 7.5W / 5v 1.5A at least?
I see OnePlus lists it's charging speed as "18W Fast Charging (9V/2A)". And 9v doesn't match the 5v or 10v that I've read Dash/Warp/VOOC has used. So I'm hoping that means it supports more that just Dash/Warp.
If the nord n200 does require only Dash/Warp, anyone know which version?
According to this link:

The "PD" indicator on a cable with integrated power meter lights up, so the author thinks it is USB-PD.
Getting 10.2W (8.88v 1.15A) with QC. Battery was at 75% though. Have to test further at a lower charge level.
Used a Motorola "turbopower" USB-A charger, model: SC-22, which apparently does Qualcomm QC. Labeled as capable of 15W, 5v 3A, 9v 1.6A or 12v 1.2A.
~edit~
16.3W (8.94v 1.83A) via Qualcomm QC with a different cable and the battery at 10%. Max rate my charger is capable of.
