Problem: unroot Galaxy S7 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys!
I have bought a slightly used S7 (G930FD) from a local shop and found out that the phone's status was custom and it was rooted to 7.0.0. I tried the factory reset but the status is same. Then I downloaded Odin 3.13 and downloaded Oreo 8.0.0 from Updato for my country.
But after uploading the files in ODIN and connecting the cable with the phone, I pressed start button, a second later "FAIL" appears and on the device in the download mode, it appears "Secure Check Fail: Bootloader". What is this? I have tried by checking the re-partition and using the Regular CSC file instead of Home_CSC, but on each instance, it fails . What I'm doing wrong?
Another thing I noticed that during the Download mode the phone model is displayed as G930L but on the Android settings in the phone it says G930FD.
Any opinions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, send me private your imei from back off the battery glass I will send you the right firmware . : )

Weird persistent bootloop / PIT file?

Hi all,
I'm trying to fix my friends Samsung Galaxy s6 SG-G925f which got itself in a bootloop. He hasn't flashed any roms, or rooted,... he's not too tech savvy, it happened by itself. I figured this would be an easy one, cause I could still get into download mode (impossible to get into recovery). So I downloaded the original firmware from sammobile (slow) for the 925F in Belgium, but as you can guess that didn't work. Odin failed flashing it.
I tried so many different things since then:
Different android versions that were listed on sammobile.
Tried flashing different recoveries, on which odin failed as well or reported that "recovery was not seandroid enforcing" following by a bootloop
Tried messing with the pit (ZEROLTE_EUR_OPEN_HIDDEN200M.pit), which finally made odin complete a firmware flash, but still no cigar.
I have read stuff about doh 6 and doi1, but I don't really understand any of it, not even sure if it applies to a Belgian phone.
Download mode reports:
SM-G925F
CURRENT BINARY: Custom (I have been able to change this to stock, but that's all it did)
REACTIVATION LOCK: OFF
SYSTEM STATUS: CUSTOM
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1 (0x020c)
RP SWREV: B:3 K:2 S:2
After an entire day, I haven't gone past the galaxy s bootscreen, haven't been able to enter any recovery mode, oh yeah and samsung smart switch emergency recovery failed as well.
I have fixed many different phones, just by reading on xda, but I'm really at a loss with this one. I would really appreciate some help!
Thanks a bunch
Kind regards
I have the exact same issue posted here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/help/soft-brick-s6-edge-g925i-t3346589
Well, I haven't been able to boot a single rom/recovery...
Flash these 3 things through Odin;
Make sure you use the correct Odin version (3.10.7)
925F Bootloader (BL)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995301219
925F Modem (CP)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995301220
TWRP by arter97 (AP)
http://www.arter97.com/browse/S6/ke...r97-recovery-g925fi-13.0-twrp_3.0.0-0.tar.md5
Flash this ROM with optional Add on package for the bloat.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-3-t3119968
You should be up and running in no time.
Merci Michiel!
But sadly, that didn't work either. (I already tried flashing those files yesterday, did it again today) Still a bootloop, unable to get into recovery, I only see the samsung galaxy logo, with the red 'recovery is not seandroid enforcing).
Something weird just happened as well: samsung smart switch actually finished the emergency recovery without any error; said the device would reboot and that i had to reconnect it. I was overjoyed, but of course, you guessed it; nothing changed!
I should maybe also mention, that when I unplug the phone from the computer, the samsung logo appears once or twice and then stops. The phone becomes completely unresponsive until I hook it back up to the pc or charger.
This is not looking good, is it?
Don't worry. Will probably have something to do with your PIT file. Do you know your CSC code?
Well, I was also thinking it might have to do with the pit. I don't know where to find my csc, although smart switch had a pop up I copied that said: PDA: pb2 csc pb2 phone pbp. Don't know if this is what I need? Thanks a lot for the reassuring advice!
Hmmm... Where did you buy your phone?
Well, it's a friends phone, I don't exactly know where he bought it, but I think at Vandenborre. Although I also recall seeing (lux) somewhere in smart switch, does that mean it's bought in Luxemburg? Does this matter for the PIT file?
I just tried the latest MM from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G925F/PRO/
, but removed the hidden.img from the tar, no luck either...
Tried a couple of different PIT files as well, using the pit menu in odin and also tried putting them in the tar as suggested in a couple of posts. Nothing..
If nothing goes I will buy it for 50€.
No, it's not bought in Luxembourg but Vandenborre uses phones with LUX CSC. Don't ask me why.
Did you try;
SM-G925F OXA multi CSC ( BTU CPW DBT ITV KOR NEE XEF XEO XEU ) ZEROLTE_EUR_OPEN.pit?
Yep, that didn't work either, I'm going to try all the different PIT's on this website:
http://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30136
Should I flash the bootloader, CP file and arter recovery with these pits, is it necessary to unpack them and add the pit file to the tar?
Could you send me the IMEI and/or SN by PM? Then I will see what the exact CSC and official firmware is.
Thanks a bunch for your help in this thread!
Still having no luck booting in any kind of operating system or recovery, although I've tried tons of different firmwares, PIT files, 4 versions of odin, and a dozen of smart recoveries. Stuck in bootloop and the only thing I can change is having the "recovery was not seandroid enforcing" message appear or disappear (without ever being able to enter in recovery). And sometimes the galaxy logo makes place for a blue screen telling me to use samsung smart recovery.
With the help of Michiel, I've found out it's a LUX version and Smart Switch Recovery shows a pop up saying:
"Initialized version: : PDAB2 / CSCB2 / PHONEBP (LUX)"
So I've flashed this firmware: G925FXXS3DPB2_G925FLUX3DPB2_G925FXXU3DPBP_HOME.tar.md5, but still nothing!!
Only explanation I can think of right now is that the above file doesn't contain a CSC/PIT and that the LUX version uses an unique PIT file? Is that even possible?
Same issue here
Have same issue , only "Boot Loop" and D.Mode, any recovery my G925F accept.
Tried a very Big lot of Stock fw, recovery, Custom Recovery, Repair Fw, but nothing get in recovery or boot up this phone.

Current Binary: Samsunf Official
System Status: Custom
Reactivaction Lock: OFF
Security Download : Enabled
Knox Warranty Void: 1 (0X0304)

Also i flash with Smartswitch his Original MM 6.0.1 "Wind ITV" get success but always in Boot Loop and very strange that this configuraction: "System Status: Custom", not turn back Official how will to be.
I know that is G925F branded Wind ITV, but have also flashed with 4 part file extract from "Smartswitch", (Tip of Zip in Temp folder), where there's also his PIT but nothing change
Honestly?, is the first time i cannot repair one S6/S6Edge....have also many Professional tool but useless for solve this issue.
So, since i've seen many users in the web with same issue, i hope that anybody can help we all to suggest what haven't tryed and finally understand where can be the real problem.:good:
If can help, have say me that can be one HW issue, some IC damaged but is very dangerous replace or rehoot these components...
Other expert have say me that can happen when try with "chimera Tool" tryng to repair Boot and have this result, i not know if in this one is been done it, this phone is of one my friend that love put his handles where not know...
Any Expert here can be of help?

SAMSUNG S5 [SM-G906S] - BOOTLOOP/No RECOVERY

Hey Guys I'm new to this forum and apologies if this has been covered and would be grateful if someone to point me to the right direction. Link-drive.google.com/file/d/0BwqxONwTQDjiSkF3VWN0UmpFSHc/view?usp=sharing
So just briefly the problem at hand : I did an update to 6.0.1 and after this update my fone screen motion sensor stop working, didnt switch when i turn the fone side ways and also the games with motion requirement didnt work. So just recently there was an heartstone(Blizzard game update) I did the update the fone was working fine till i manually did a restart, thats when my s5 g906s went into bootloop. with a little distortion on the bottom right hand corner. Link-drive.google.com/file/d/0BwqxONwTQDjiSkF3VWN0UmpFSHc/view?usp=sharing
1.)I've already tried to restore it with kies3 manually added the S/N and IMEI it completes but same bootloop with a little distortion on the bottom right hand corner.
2.)I tried to go into recovery mode by pressing Power+Home+Volume Up but it wont enter that mode.
3.)I tried to Use Odin with the fone variant with full AP,BL,CP,CSC and pit ODIN loads all files and give me a PASS message but after this when the fone restarts it tries to go into recovering mode(top lefthand in blue) but it just turns off with a vibrate. Link - drive.google.com/file/d/0BwqxONwTQDjiVHV2RGxrSVRRNU0/view?usp=sharing
4.) So i though the recovery is faulty so i tried to flash a recovery unofficial_philz_touch_6.48.4-g906s_hsk.tar but i get this error
<ID:0/005> FAIL! (Auth)
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
After this i read some threads saying I need root so i tried to flash from autoroot_chainfire_eu but same <ID:0/005> FAIL! (Auth) error.
Now im just stuck, what am i doing wrong? Please if someone can help me out a little would mean a great deal, thanks.
Create an account on Sammobile to get the firmware.
Use the Search to find the required firmware – enter your Galaxy S5 model number which you can find in Settings > More > About Device > Build Number.
Download the correct stock Android firmware file that matches with your SGS5 model.
Extract the contents of zip file and you would find a .tar.md5 file.
Also, download Odin 3.09 from here. Extract and save the files on your PC.
How to unbrick Samsung Galaxy S5:
Turn your Samsung Galaxy S5 off, remove battery and re-insert after some ten seconds.
Boot Galaxy S5 in Download Mode.
Launch Odin on your computer and connect your Galaxy S5 to PC using a USB cable.
Once successfully connected, click on the AP button on Odin.
Locate the .tar.md5 stock Android firmware file extracted earlier.
Don’t touch any other settings except ensuring that Re-partitioning is disabled.
Click on the START button to initiate the process.
After the flashing process is finished successfully, it will reboot and you will be able to set it up with your Gmail account
Dont forget to install phone drivers and use stock USB

Ah, you beat me to it. Also OP, don't forget to boot into recovery and wipe the data otherwise you'll be stuck in another bootloop, I don't know why but I have to do this on all devices when flashing stock ROM.

hai, i having same problem like you with my sm-g906s
before having this issue, my phone is working fine with with android 6.0.1 (PDA G906SKSU1CPF3 | build: 2016-07-10),
than 2 days ago i decided to upgrade it to (PDA G906SKSU1CPL1 | build: 2017-01-03), all the firmware i get from sam mobile.
odin process is working fine, and pass it until my phone showing my homescreen, and i can do anything even installing some aplication from playstore. just looks like it working fine, but im not tested all sensor with this firmware.
the problem is starting when i restart my phone, my phone is having bootloop, no recovery mode, and having same screen distortion like yours, in the bottom right corner.
after that i doing flash again, trying get back to G906SKSU1CPF3 version, but not working good. odin pass it, but bootloop issue still happen. after that, i trying download all android 6.01 and one version of 5.0.1 at sammobile, and flash it one by one, nothing work with my phone. trying to install twrp recovery with odin, is also not work. it confused me, because i dont know what im doing wrong
the phone work, after installing android 4.4.2 G906SKSU1ANFI | build: 2014-06-29. it can fix bootloop, and in this case, i can use my phone again, but with old firmware, screen distortion issue, and not working motion sensor..
installing twrp recovery 3.0.0-0 v4 can be done with odin with this 4.4.2 firmware, but twrp v5 and above is not working.
i get this recovery from https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/recovery-twrp-recovery-v2-8-7-0-t3199011
after that, i using twrp to wipe my phone, with hope it can fix the problem, but nothing happen even after wiping system, and reflash again 4.4.2 with odin. until now still having same problem, but at least i can use my phone
hope you discover better solution, and share with me, because im not sure this is hardware problem.
it sound like the recovery image is corrupted, try SmartSwitch, is a tool from Samsung. Use Emergency software recovery n Initialisation

[Q] [SM-G903M] CF-Auto-Root and Odin put my phone in bootloop

My phone is/was a Samsung S5 Neo (SM-G903M) running Android 5.1.1.
I was trying to root the phone to use Titanium Backup, I got a CF-Auto-Root file and used Odin to load the md5 file. I need this root to backup my phone, so I don't have any backup.
The first time, I followed all the instructions and when it reboot I got a red pirate, bootloader locked and the log:
/sbin/unzip: permission denied
/sbin/chcon: permission denied
Then, I tried another CF-Auto-Root file and now my phone is restarting and can't load (bootloop).
1) Is there a way to extract the cache.img and recovery.img file from a stock rom and use Odin to load them?
2) Is there another way to fix this phone with root or not?
3) My wife was the same phone,is it possible to get some file from her phone and fix mine?
It's probably better to flash whole rom if you got warning for bootloader locked but yeah, you can extract from firmware. Open tar.md5 as archive and extract what you want. Make a new tar with the extracted files and flash with odin.
[Solution]
1) Download a stock rom from: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G903M/
2) Untar cache.img and recovery.img
3) Download tar-Tool_Odin3-v3.10.7 from: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446269
4) Unzip and copy cache.img and recovery.img to tar-Tool folder
5) Use the batch.bat to create a tar.md5 file from cache.img and recovery.img
6) Download Odin
7) Follow these instructions:
7.1/ Extract it somewhere and launch it in administrator mode.
7.2/ Put your phone in download mode.
To do it, press & maintain 3 buttons (Menu, volume down & power). Then push "Volume up"
7.3/ Quit Kies. Connect your phone to your PC. Odin will detect it in ID :COM
7.4/ Select "AP" and select the file created by tar-Tool in folder "AllFiles"
7.5/ Verify that only "Auto reboot" & "F-reset" is ticked. Click on Start.
7.6/ Wait till the phone reboots.

In my opinion u need to flash the stock firmware ur mobile was running before the root with odin....u can download from site samsung firmware. You will have to find the exact firmware u were running and your country.thats only way from my opinion. Then try again with autoroot and please download the cf autoroot file only made for lollipop version.I hope u have flashed the correct cf autooot file.
i am very suspicious of my fiance of two years now that she's cheating on me, she has changed passwords to every account that she has, plus put a pin lock on her phone, i have been searching for ways to retrieve her text messages without installing any software on her phone or having access to it, so far i am not having any luck. we have a 19 year history together, plus a beautiful 18 year old daughter & this is eating me up inside. But i finally burst on this page from Google and found the God eye who changed my whole story for good! He help me hack her FB, her emails and her phone number and i got to see all his messages and apps from her phone. only for me to found out she's cheating and have a son out there without my consent but i thank the God eye for letting me know all this and am moving on fine with my life and my daughter. He's also involved in any sort of hacking issues. Hurray!! Get to him on (Godeyeviewhacker AT hotmail DOT com)

The solution I wrote solved my problem. And guess what? My phone is rooted.
Gentlemen, I tried flashing cf-auto-root for M variant (firmware is at UBU1BPK1), but after ODIN Pass! it reboots and just show the message "Recovery is not seandroid enforced".
After that, it reboots again to normal firmware, not rooted.
I even tried un-checking the "auto reboot" option in ODIN, and doing a manual reboot to recovery mode (as it was supposed to force the cf-root to install).
But it just repeats the same behaviour. I kept holding vol_up+button+power and it kept rebooting trying to enter recovery but just showing the message "recovery is not seandroid enforced".
At the time I released the buttons, it rebooted to normal firmware, not rooted.
Tried different Odin versions (3.10.6, 3.12...), nothing did the trick.
Any tips? May I have to try the F variant? (my phone is dual sim, don't know if it'd disable second sim slot)
I've also enabled "USB debug" and "unlocked OEM" under developer settings.
Couldn't find "reactivation lock" option under account settings / security settings.

Just to add that I finally got it working.
Flashed a different country variant (BVO - Bolivia), that has BQA1 firmware and also have the same Modem/CP Version as my ZTO (Brazil) in BPF1. I was afraid of choosing a different variant from Brazil with different modem version, and being not able to use my local area signal provider.
It worked like a charm. I wiped data/factory reset. Then I flashed the BQA1 firmware using ODIN 3.12.3 (last version). Logged in google account (didn't logged on samsung account, neither choosed a lock screen).
Then, flashed cf-auto-root from autoroot.chainfire.eu for g903m BQA1 and it worked like a charm!
Genuine Hacker
I really have to thank Kieran for her review I read on veronica's blog. I've been in search of a genuine hacker for a while to help me hack my husband and a website but I was scammed repeatedly by fakes. After reading kiearan's review on black butcher, I thought it was just another lie but when I dug dip and read other reviews, the hacker turned out highly recommended by other people too. I contacted the hacker and decided to have faith in him. The hacker delivered and I was really impressed... he gave me full access to my husband's phone and hacked the website I wanted without any problem. Now I see why everyone is talking about this hacker and I'm going to join the train. For us looking for reliable hacker, you can imagine my joy after being scammed to finally see someone truthful to get it done. His contact is Blackbutcher.hacker at outlook dot com. contact him and stop being scammed by these fakes out there. My sister also tried him to boost her credit score and clear her credit card debt and he delivered so I can guarantee he's real and knows what he's doing. Thank you black butcher.

S6 Edge Won't Boot - In Desperate Need of Help

Hey Everyone,
I'm new here and I've been having trouble with my S6 Edge and would very much appreciate any help or advice.
So, I cracked the screen 4 months after I got it. It slipped out of my pocket and hit the pavement. The phone still worked but the glass was cracked so I decided to go back to my Note 4 and put the S6 Edge in a drawer until I decided to ROOT the thing to try and recover some lost data and now here I am.
What's happening now is the following:
The phone will not power off until the battery runs out. I can reboot though with the power and volume down buttons.
I get "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency Recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software." screen. However, Smart Switch won't recognise my phone.
I can enter download mode
I downloaded Odin3, that picked up my phone but fails when it tries to read the hidden.img file and the phone I get this error message "[cm] sw rev. check fail device: 4 binary: 3"
My phone's details:
Model: S6 Edge (O2 - UK)
Product Name: SM-G925F
I was trying to use this ROM -G925FXXU3DPBG_G925FBTU3DPB1_G925FXXU3DPB6_HOME.tar.md5
All I really want now is to get the phone up and running if possible. I've been Googling all day and with no luck. PLEASE HELP!
Thanks,
I think it's impossible that the combination of buttons does not work. You should try to press VOLUME UP + HOME + POWER for 10 seconds.
Put him in download mode(volume down+home button+power button) and try to flash the stock firmware:

You probably won't be able to get your data now.
To revive your phone unpack the firmware with 7zip or something. Remove the hidden.img file. Repack the firmware and flash again. It will pass.
I managed to fix it! What I did was download the latest firmware update for my region (in this case O2 - UK) from SamMobile.
Exact details from my phone are:
Android Version: 7.0
Baseband Version: G925FXXU5EQI8
Build Number: NRD90M.G925FXXU5EQJB
After the ridiculously slow download had finished, I extracted the .MD5 file and then opened that file with Winzip and removed the hidden.img file and then repackaged it just as callumbr1 said. Then I put the phone into download mode and uploaded the new file using the latest version of odin3 (put the file where is says AP) clicked start and left it alone.
It takes a little while for the phone to boot up for the first time so just be patient.
My data was lost but as it turns out, I had uploaded them onto my PC and forgotten about it! I did a factory reset and now the phone works again. Now all I have to do is replace the glass on the screen and that promises to be a pain in the ass...
Thanks for the help and I'll let you know how I get on with the glass replacement!

S7 Emergancy Rocovery/FRP Lock

Afternoon; hoping someone can help as I am at a lose end.
I've been give an S7 (SM-G930F) which is displaying CUSTOM BINARY BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK which means I can't start the phone; I'm assuming the previous owner installed a custom ROM and then did a factory reset which activated this???
I have tried to flash the latest original firmware a few times, downloaded from Sammobile and Frija but still no avail! Odin starts but the fails on param.bin. Unfortunately, I also can't work out the original CSC code, I've tried all the UK ones but again no avail. Also tried just putting the AP in and BL, AP, CP and CSC but again nothing.
So I thought that I'd try to install TWRP and then boot and load in a new OS but Odin will not do this.
Also get a screen saying use Samsung SmartSwitch to do an Emergancy Recovery but when I connect the phone, more, energancy recover there is no phone listed as I've never connected it to a computer.
Anyone help at all? I'm at a lose end.
