single key navigation - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

I stumbled upon this screen in settings. But there is no way to enable this. Anybody knows anything on this?

Where did you find that option?

I can't seem to enable it... Any guru knows how to enable it?

System settings > navigation > Navi dot seems to be close but not exactly the same. Maybe a hint for a new feature?

This was the feature in older emui version.. Was good way of navigation...

Agree, it's as ugly as it's useless (for me tho) :fingers-crossed:
If found the soulution
Just go to settings--> Homescreen-->Actionbar Design--> Disable
you should go settings--> Homescreen-->Actionbar Design--> Disable
Huh, thanks for the info, I'd never guess it's Actionbar Design.
I was searching something like Google Search bar or sth...
Slight update
Not sure if ADW has changed but it is actually in:
ADWSettings>Screen>Actionbar Design and then choose Disable
That worked thanks

Does anyone know how to simply set it back to the default google style? The only "awful" thing about it is that the actual searchable part of the bar is less than half the real-estate on the left-hand side, and then a large blank area for... no reason at all, then an utterly useless app-drawer button.
I just want a Google search bar, but running universally along the time like the action bar!!
thanks

Nope. You don't need a pin, but the lockscreen is there to prevent you from pocket dialing/answering/downloading porn/whatever.
I know why its there... I wanna know how to disable it.
Simple answer: you can't disable it.

Get used to disappointment.
There is no option to disable it. I guess you're a smartphone user from before the iPhone era when "lockscreen" didn't exist as a concept?

I absolutely hate this type of in your face bloat.
Came here to find how to get rid of it, left disappointed. I don't have that option either.
This really needs to go, it looks awful.

Swiping doesn't do anything. Really annoying "feature". Hopefully will be gone in a future update
I love using front cam with the flashlight/torch on. But the latest update disabled the flashlight when the cam is on. Anyone knows how the workaround?

Question Turn off bluetooth visibility while it's on..?

This is an option ALL phones i had had. Strangely not in the BT menu.. Like it's hidden by Samsung by choice..! How to get it back/find a way to switch that option? I want to use BT but don't want to be "found"!

Isn't it always hidden, unless you are in the bluetooth menu or you have already paired the device?

Bro, you think I'm dumb enough not to have checked that before asking?
Children, don't argue
Use Good Lock and you'll find the option you're looking for under Quickstar.

I was curious so I checked it. My phone is not seen when not in Bluetooth menu. So that's good to know. Goodlock/Quickstar will help hiding Bluetooth and or other icons

GoodLock is nice, but neither in Quickstar, neither other section i found the solution to my issue.
I was posting from (gasp!) iPad, now here's a screenshot of my phone (the "W" Canadian variant, but I doubt that makes a difference).
BTW, there's also SystemUI Tuner that can accomplish the same.
EDIT: Oh, I just realized you're not looking to hide the BT icon, but to keep the phone invisible while BT is on. This is not it.

But that is the standard for all Android phones for several years.
Do have any of the sharing options enabled, which maybe makes you visible?

What are those "sharing option" you refer to..? Just having BT turned on makes you visible. This is by default on any device. Usually there's a setting to make your device "'invisible". I checked on older Galaxy : it's there! Sometimes, manufacturer intentionnally HIDE a setting in menu. So i can be reactivated, but i dunno the process.

Search for "Nearby sharing" in settings...
This seems to be related to 2 settings - "Nearby sharing" is in Google settings and then there is "Quick share" as well...
Indeed there's such option in "Nearby sharing".. But it's only for this service : Phone's still visible even if you disable visibility in "Nearby sharing".. There should be an option in the BT (sub)menu itself as said.
