Anyone use an external DAC? - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hi there
Does anyone use an external DAC for listening to Music?
I've got some great headphones for which I do use the USB C to 3mm adaptor that came with the phone. But is there anything that can improve the Audio experience?
Don't get me wrong, it sounds good. But could it be better?

In-ear headphones with mini usb ?

Is there any good quality in-ear headphones possible to use with TD2 without usb - 3,5 mm adapter ? If so link please !
...only for hearing music, or also for using the phone (needs a microfone)?
i'm thinking of buying one... i preferable want one that has the mic support
I doubt you will find any because the usb port on the TD2 is from HTC which means no one else uses it. Only headset which uses that port is from HTC themselves.
these things exist. a quick search with google... and then just use your own in-ear headphones

The HTC adaptor supports stereo, your headset must also be stereo.
I used to run out of HTC adaptor into cassette and had stereo music.

[Q] Audio through micro usb does not sound good

Audio through the micro usb port is heaps different from audio through the headphone port. I just bought the official car dock. The audio quality is just tinny and no warmth/bass.
I don't have any other means to test if it's the dock that's the problem. I asked the creator of VillainRom and was told it could be kernel-related. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Line-out from the phone is not amplified. So try plugging it into a headphone amplifier first and don't listen to straight line-out.
I aslo have noticed that thru the bluetooth streaming to the Ford Explorer it is also crappy quality. Does the bluetooth have a upgrade that improve the quality ????
I am not rooted and using 2.3.3.
Thanks in advance...

[Q] Use of a USB DAC with Ham2

Has anyone here successfully used a USB DAC (digital to analog converter) with the Ham2? I am thinking about buying a Fiio USB DAC to improve audio out from the phone as I use it with headphones frequently. If anyone has used any DAC with the Mate2 I'd like to know what your experience has been!

V10 as external DAC

When I bought this phone, I loved that it came with a 32 bit Hi-Fi DAC. I'm a sound engineer, an audiophile, a music enthusiast, and we all know this is quite a unique phone when it comes to music. At times I can be an "on-the-go" type person. I like to produce music everywhere I go. So I was wondering if there was some way to use this phone as an external DAC for a laptop? I don't want to invest in a DAC when I have the V10. My theory on how this setup would go is having the V10 and laptop connected through USB and having all the audio from the laptop go through the V10 and out the V10 audio jack. Is there some way to do this? I'm guessing this would have something to do with the kernel of the phone too. Any help is appreciated!
