Hi everyone. I have a problem with my redmi 5 plus. the company gave me an app to install in the phone to be able to authenticate to our server and be able to work. This app (called Account), once installed, will show the logo of our company among the available accounts, then going to settings-account-add account, I can add the account in question. The app installs, but does not let me add this account. I've also tried in other phones and it works properly. could any of you help me? Thank you

I got a 10.1 tab last night and it's great. I have one issue maybe you can help me with regarding the market and apps. My wife and I both have android phones and we are sharing the tablet. When I set it up and put in our email addys I went into the market and it was downloading all of the app we have on our phones. Cool feature if I'm replacing my phone, but not for a shared device that I don't need to be identical to our phones. Is there a way to not make it do this? The thought I have is to create a dummy account for both of us but then it seems like it will be weird to use gmail app and stuff like that.
Thanks!
wait what?
Are both you using the same Google Account?
No shared accounts. I put in both of our gmails under, settings then accounts. Now we can switch between the 2 accounts in the gmail app but I hate that the market downloaded each of our phone apps.
It's because there is a setting when you first ran the market or setup your gmail on the tablet. It's the option where you allow Google to download previously purchased apps off the market and because your phone uses the same account, Google assumes you want the same apps, if the app is compatible with tablet. Remember purchase can be paid or free apps. It won't sync again like that after the first time unless you decide to reformat and you don't uncheck that box again.
Hey all, I have stock,non-rooted,locked, OTA'd rezound.
I've tried everything in the general forums for this problem, so now I'll come here and ask to see if anyone has any other possible solutions.
I've done multiple factory resets today, and tried several different methods of re-adding my google account (which is a google apps for your domain account) so it's not @gmail.com but @mydomain.com
Everything works great, sync, gmail app, gtalk, youtube.. you name it. Great. Even the market place, for downloading 'free' apps.
As soon as I try and download an app I have to pay for I get a little window that pops up that says "Google sign-in You entered the wrong password or your account has changed. Please re-enter your password. Username [email protected]" and then just fails to accept my actual password. (i've tried changing my password a few times too!)
Here's everything I've tried:
1. Clearing the Market App Data and Cache.
2. FactoryReset: try and use the old market app before it gets updated.
3. Youtube account issue: disabled the youtube service on my google app domain, and factory reset- and tried again... no dice.
4. Tried putting on a real @gmail.com domain, and that works just fine. try and switch to @mydomain and it fails again.
I've done a factory-reset before every different style of attempt. I'm guessing something else is going on :-\
When I logon to the market through the web, I can purchase apps and they install without a problem! So it's something to do with the market app.
Anyway, just looking for any other ideas I may have overlooked. You're a pretty thorough community so I think I can trust you all would have something for me to try!
Before my factory-reset, everything worked fine with my google apps domain account.
TL;DR: My google apps domain account I normally use won't let me purchase apps on the marketplace anymore, it says the password has changed but all other google services work just fine!
I remember reading something way back when I first got the phone in late November about people having issues with the Market app. I never had an issue so I didn't pay much attention to it but you should be able to find a thread about it from back then.
Something about using a different apk? Or maybe deleting the app and redownloading it?
Sorry I don't have the actual answer but I thought I could at least point you in the right direction until someone else does.
EDIT: This may not be the same issue but one of the solutions that suggests to clear cache may help you. Can't hurt to try it out.

Are you using Google Two-Step login verification?
Did you accidentally leave yourself logged in to another computer, like at work, where somebody else might have gained access to your account?

Great questions:
No I've turned 2-step verification off.... what if I turn it on, and try and get a different password out of it? I'll give it a go.
Account is definitely not compromised. good to go here.
Break Through Achieved...
My Google Wallet account has been suspended, because when I changed my password I used the google domains administrator panel, and not my google account 'change password'. this made google think the administrator changed the password because the account was compromised.
google wallet has a lengthy but acceptable process for regaining access to your account.
I'll go update all the general forums with this if it works... thanks for all your patience.
Also, google.com/wallet shows a good explination of why all other apps work fine, and not purchases...
Google Wallet Account Reinstatement
Your Google Wallet account is currently suspended. The account was suspended as a precautionary measure to protect your payment information because Google detected that an administrator at your organization initiated a password reset for your email address. However, this suspension only affects your access to Google Wallet, and you should still have access to your other Google Apps services such as Gmail, Calendar, and Sites.
If you would like to reinstate Google Wallet on your Google Apps account, please contact us. You will be required to verify your identity to reinstate your Wallet account.
You may also wish to sign up for a new Google Wallet account using a personal e-mail address, rather than your Google Apps account. Creating a new Wallet account using a personal email address will reduce future suspensions of your Google Wallet account for password changes. If you don't have an alternative email address, you can create a new email address with Gmail for free.

I'm having the same problem (using google apps account, admin reset password, no purchasing market apps etc etc)
When I log in to google wallet, I see the message you posted above, with a link to click to contact google. However, this link just redirects endlessly to the same message.
Can you remember how you managed to get in contact with google to have the suspension lifted?
Thanks
Sul

I had the same issue a few weeks ago. I just emailed Google wallet help support telling them the problem and by the next day I got a reply saying something like "we can now confirm that your Google wallet is now working and able to make purchases" Sure enough they fixed it and haven't had a problem since.

Where did you even email them? It's like an endless loop on their help center where you can't get to an actual contact form, just has to match one of their issues. I swear while I like a lot of google services, their support leaves very little to be desired.
Hi experts!
I used to have two Google accounts, one private and one for work. Unfortunately, I have been fired a month ago and I have no more access to the latter. I believe it is still active but they changed the password and I just can't login.
The problem is that all the apps registered in my Google Play under this account are not available for uninstall or update. Each time I try, I get the message "Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google Account."
The apps work well on the Android phone but I can't manage them. Moreover, I can't reinstall apps that I uninstalled using the disabled account. All the apps that have been installed with my private account are managed just fine.
I am using a Samsung S2 (GT-I9100) with Android 2.3.3. Google Play Store v 3.7.15.
Any clue how I can get the control back on those apps?
Thanks in advance!

This might be a dumb suggestion but if you know the username but not password then why not try the "forgot password" system most sites have.
Never needed to with play but they must on the website version have a way to recover or reset password.
Although if work paid for those apps they could in theory seek compensation if you try re accessing them.

Thanks for your suggestion. It's not dumb but since my former work Gmail account is managed by the administrator, it would be too easy if I could just reset the password myself. Anyway, my intention is not to hack the account but rather get back access to my apps.
BTW, these are not work related apps, just that when I installed them from the phone somehow, Android chose that account by default (I don't even know how). I am now stuck with no possibility to manage them.
I wonder if by deleting this account on the phone, the apps will stay installed or will be uninstalled as well.

my suggestions does not belong to hacking and software and so on but in your situation i would think about which apps u installed/owned by the corporation id on google play
cus if there are any apps wich needed any additional privat information or even have to deal wich such privacy things u might go to the administrator and say him well after the laws in this state ure not allowed to keep this information and he might will give u acces again.
its like getting a notebook by from your work and getting some private stuff on it like photos from your children..afterwards u loose ure job and they retake the notebook.
they have to give u the possibility to change or delete this information.
thats what i would do
why can't you download those same apps on your device with your private gmail account? just delete your corporate acct after you register your private acct. i' ve done multiple accts so many times.

I was just wondering if the apps will be uninstalled automatically if I delete the corporate account or if they will be stuck with the then unexisting account (on my device) with no possibility to update or uninstall them.
Any clue?
Dear all,
I used my gmail account to help a friend setup his new phone.
Then he added his own account to the phone afterwards.
Now, he wanna buy apps with his own account but it seems that the Play Store only allow him to make payment with my account.
Is there any method to do that? Or he must reset his phone to do so?
Please kindly comment. Thanks!
any idea please? thanks a lot
Just tested this a few minutes ago: simply add the new account (his account in this case) and it should default pay with this. If not, click menu in the play store and choose accounts and choose account here. Hope this helps.

Hello community, I am facing big issues with my main account that I use to buy my applications on Google Play. Recently I had to open a second account because Google wasn't able to process my credit card using my first account.
I've been sending emails to the creators of the applications that I bought with my main account to see if we can make a transfer of the applications to my second account, the answer was that I could get a refund within my first account so I could buy again the application from my second account.
The issue I'm facing right now is that whenever I place a purchase from my second account and I reinstall the application my smartphone will try to get the license from my first account instead of getting the license for the application from my second account on Google Play.
how can I fix this?
I've erased all trace of the applications from my first account, and yet, despite the fact that I have been getting refunds from the creators, I can't get the new license from Google play within my second account.
Help me please!
