Hello guys
i have an android phone and i was using GO LAUNCHER on my phone.
my phone was rooted and i had Freezed System LAUNCHER using LINK2SD.
Unfortunately i forgot that the System launcher was frozen and i restored my phone from Factory Reset and ultimately it removed GO LAUNCHER.
Hence system launcher was frozen so Phone was stucked on SAMSUNG Logo.
I went into Android recovery using Power and Volume button and Wiped Data from there.
Now whenever i turn on my phone it remains Stuck on ANDROID logo...
Samsung Logo is vanished now......
Kindly help me on this issue....
I think there could be 2 solutions only
1. Install new launcher, which seems difficult as phone is stucked on Logo,
2. Flash using ROM, but i can't find Rom for my device....
Kindly help me or advice....
My phone specifications are below
Samsung GT i9500 (Copy)
Processor is MTK 6575
Android 4.2.2
CPU TYPE:6575
Hardware version:CB00
Software version:E201

can u help me in finding official stock firmware for this phone?
i can't find it
There you go, follow below link
http://m.ibtimes.com/android-422-je...alaxy-s4-gt-i9500-manual-installation-1237099
Don't get messed up by reading in hurry. If you are a beginner then Read instructions carefully and make sure you download the file your phone model only. Or else your device will be bricked.
Good luck mate

Oooh I don't have much knowledge on all that, like different based processor. I told you my recommendations, to what my knowledge recommends.
Make sure you search and get working Firmware for your device.
Try to ask in your device section on Xda.
They will migrate you to right path.
After getting, flash and all will be fine.

1. The Developer DB (DevDB) is for developer projects only, do not use it for asking questions.
2. Moved to the correct forum :good:
FYI the reason it redirected you was because you created a devdb project.
So is there any solution for hard brick?
my phone doesn't really hard brick, because i can access download mode, but not recovery mode. flash stock rom via Odin + pit-file repartitition stops at recovery screen . Is there a way to solve that problem?
Thanks in advance for help.

You're not hard bricked if you can access download mode.
What bootloader revision is your phone running? What ROM image were you trying to install?
You're probably trying to downgrade and failing because the bootloader is rejecting the recovery image.
So, tell us what bootloader and what you're trying to flash. Also, what messages are displayed on the phone? If you don't know what bootloader you started with, we can infer the revision based on what it reports on the phone when it fails.
Hi @k1mu,
i was on stock rom 4.4.2 and tried to install Cynogenmod 11 M3. But the installation failed, the phone stuck at a screen, i don't remember.
So i tried to ref lash the stock rom, which is the newest one: I9505XXUGNF1_I9505OXAGNF1_I9505XXUGNF1_HOME.tar.md5.
Also tried with this Pit-File: CSB_signed_Fusion3_EUR_0325_V2.
tried: flash pit file first => remove battery ==> insert & go Download Mode => flash stock rom: stuck at "RECOVERY BOOTING"
tried: flash any custom recovery (TWRP, PhilzTouch, CWM) => tried enter recovery => end up with: "RECOVERY BOOTING"
tried: flash flash pit file + stock rom together => end up with: "RECOVERY BOOTING"
tried: removed battery for more than 2 days => still end up with: "RECOVERY BOOTING"
the phone still can access enter Download Mode and recognizes key sequences. I don't know what i should do next. Do you guys think JTAG can solves this problem?
P.S i have an I9505.

OK, I just deleted everything I typed since you don't have a SCH-i545. That's several minutes lost.
Why, since you have a 9505, are you posting here? And not where you should, over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4
No you don't have to JTAG it. What you do need to do is to ask how to recover it in an appropriate forum.
i already asked several times in that forum, but they coulnd´t really help me. They told me to reflash stock rom with pit, that´s all what i can do. Si i tried to google and found this forum, i thought it is similar so you guys could have another idea. What would you do if your phone (verizon) get the same problem like mine? All the solutions i mentioned above don't work? I really hope you have an other idea to try out.

So I have a SCH-i545 and I believe I have messed up.
So I used Hyperdrive Kitkat(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301724)
and Odin and bootstrap. However Odin doesn't load now and when trying to use the phone it just stays on Beginning Android OS 4.4 boot sequence and does nothing else. The phone acts like it doesn't charge and I don't think it'll connect to my computer. I can get into recovery mode but wiping it doesn't do anything.
Help?

Saying "Odin doesn't load" doesn't help here. Why doesn't it "load"? What do you mean by "load"?
If you can't open Odin, then either your download is corrupt, your computer is pwned, or your antivirus is blocking it.
Can you start your phone in Download mode?
How about slowing down and explaining the typical questions:
What build and bootloader are you on?
What did you try to flash?
Have you tried to flash a stock ROM image to recover?
Haha. Sorry for the rush there. When I press vol up and power it tries to download odin yet fails. Whereas it used to open.
I can start the phone in recovery mode, yes. and when i tried to flash to stock with what is on the phone it didnt work. But I havent tried to download something to a SD card then try it yet.

JTAG may be your only option. I don't know anybody but you may want to search XDA for JTAG services from someone who is trusted and won't steal all your info (if it works). Sorry man ?

This is for everyone who wants to Root the Galaxy S6 SM-G920F.
First of all a big thanks to @Chainfire who gave us root for the S6 so fast! THANKS!
This thread is ONLY for the Galaxy S6 SM-G920F modell with Android 5.0.2 installed! Check it by going into settings -> about phone -> modell/Android Version!
I am here to help, so if you have questions or problems post a reply here and I will give my best to help you.
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research about all the things I tell you
before doing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
Step by Step Guide:
- Download CF-Autoroot for S6: HERE
- Open CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.zip, now extract it somewhere and open Odin3 v.3.10.6.exe from inside the folder
- Take your S6 and bring it in Recovery Mode by shutting it down and then press Power+Home+Volume Down
- Now take your SM-G920F and connect it to PC with a USB Cable [it is recommended to use the cable which was delivered with the device]. Odin should now says something at ID:COM and under Log should stand: "Added!".
- Now click in Odin on AP and search your downloaded file called something like: "CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.tar.md5"
- Let Odin check the md5 and after this is finished press "Start". Give your phone some time (up to 10 minutes) and wait until there is "Passed" in Odin
Finished! Your S6 is now rooted. Check this by downloading Root Checker from Play Store.
You can try to get your warrinty and OFFICIAL Satus back by using @Chainfire 's App called Triangle Away, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO GARANTEE that it will work! Maybe Chainfire will add the S6 to supported devices someday: CHECK HERE
Please press THANKS if you find this Thread usefull!

G92xF/I/T (W8/K/L/S) (Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge) CWM ROOT AND ROM
Hi,
G92xF/I/T (W8/K/L/S) (Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge) ROOT AND ROM
this procedure with autoroot does not work with later versions of 5.1.1 on g92xx.
i have found a way to root newer firmwares for the g92xx;
place your desired ROM for your Phone model on your phones SD card
put phone in download mode and flash PDA in Odin with the correct file corresponding youre mobile;
http://www.arter97.com/browse/exynos7420/recovery/9.3/
reboot the phone (will autoreboot by Odin)
after startup reboot again and enter recovery mode
choose reboot , it will verify to set root acces, choose yes
the phone will now not boot youre stock samsung ROM, dont worry, just enter recovery mode again and now you can flash any ROM suitable for your phone model with Philz touch recovery.
i very much reccomend http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-0-t3094423 for optimal stock experience without the bloatware and much improvements., including ROOT
hope you will find this usefull

When following these steps my S6 keeps giving me a FAIL error right after the NAND WRITE part. I updated my phone to 6.0.1 and got G920FXXS3DPDF version.
I tryed different USB cables but nothing seems to work.
Anyone got a solution for this problem?

Quick question
What else i gonna lose after rooting
I know that Samsung Pay not gonna work
But is rooting intact other things like fingerprint, camera etc?
Thanks @FaserF,
Just flashed CF-Root on my G920F wth 6.01.
Everything seems OK, just one thing: My device says that SU should be updated, should I do it?

does this works with marshmallow 6.0.1?
Hello guys, am supposed to have posted this a long time ago, but now am chanced.
i Have a samsung s4 verizon (I9500). i wanted to downgrade it from android 5.0 to 4.2, but whenever i try to flash the new firmware with odin i get an error ( Nand Write start.... Fail(Auth)). So i tried flashing a cmw recovery using rom manager, it just flashes, but when i try to reboot to recovery, i still get the same custom recovery. after trying to flash the recovery many times, i think the recovery partition got bricked. cus when i try to boot into recovery, i get an error saying: (Start Up Failed: your device didnt start up successfully. Use the verizon Software Repair assistant on a computer to repair your device) I didnt get how to use the verizon software repair....., but since my phone was still booting up normally, i reall didnt bother, i just kept on trying to flash a new recovery, but was still receiving the same error. so about a week ago, i was playing with my build.prop and i edited a property(ro.build.recovery.... cant really remember the name) after that i tried rebooting my fone the next day, and it just stuck on the samsung logo b4 normal boot. i guess it must have been the value i changed in the build prop. I have tried flashing a new firmware with odin, but i still get the same error (nand write fail(auth))
Now in summary this is my problem
My samsung s4 wont boot up.
My samsung s4 wont boot into recovery mode.(I get startup failed)
What i have Tried doing
1. Tried flashing new firmware with odin= i get an error saying, Nand write fail
2. Tried flashing new firmware with heimdall= i get an error saying "Can't confirm end of file transfer sequence"
please any body with a posible solution. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

SMH. Second sticky from the top. In this Sub-Forum. The one that says "de-brick". You flashed the firmware for the wrong variant and bricked it.
De-brick SCH-I545VRUGOF1
easy fix download samsung kies and do a recovery flash. i literally also bricked my phone then fixed it with kies
So first of all I want to say I'm new to this forum and hope this is the right place to post this. I am despairing right now. I spent the entire day trying to flash a custom recovery to my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 WIFI only (2014 Edition). I also searched a lot on the internet but everyone seems to have a different problem than me.
So i've gone through the whole process of flashing (with odin and also tried with Heimdall). Everything seems to go fine and even odin says everthing went good. But then i turn off the device and try to enter my supposedly successfully flashed custom recovery and then the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" just stays there forever and nothing happens. I can boot normally and also in download mode.
Then I tried to flash TWRP with the official app (which I downloaded from the playstore) and the same thing happend except that this time i could not even boot normally. So i flashed the stock android version with odin and was able to boot normally again and in the stock recovery mode. But I would really like to get this working properly. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
Btw Sorry for and mistakes Enlish is not my mother tongue
If you can find your device codename, you can probably get yourself a good headstart

Did you make sure that the TWRP was for your specific model not a similar one?
A different letter can cause such issue.

Yes I did. And if you open the TWRP App it even shows the device model no: lt03wifiue (which was exactly the device number I downloaded TWRP for). I made sure that I download exactly that number again and the same "bootloop" happend. I even tried to download an older version (but for the same device number) but I still got the same results. I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Now that you know the codename of the device, use odin! Asking, I've seen people say that that app has shown the incorrect codename and bricked their devices.

hmm okay well that's interesting. I tried flashing the custom Recovery with odin 3 times. and it always succeeded. But then whenever I turn on my tablet and try to boot it into recovery mode I get stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" screen and nothing happens. It's really frustrating because everthing seems to go fine and then it doesn't work. If I at least got an error I could search for the specific error and fix it.
Do you think it would solve my problem if I flash the stock recovery again and completely wipe my tablet with all data and then try to flash the custom recovery?

Perhaps it'd work. Just, does it say "recovery booting" or something similar at that note screen?

Ok, you have root, right?
Try with Flashify app, download the TWRP image and place it in your storage and flash it with Flashify app.
Latest TWRP image:

Yes, I do and I did everthing you said. Flashify app also said successfully flashed. And Rebooted. Once again same error. "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" Screen and nothing happens.
Edit: I now got a boot loop and can not enter recovey mode or normal boot mode. I can enter download mode so I think I can flash stock android with odin but my problem (that I can't flash a custom recovery) is still there.

Also is your model number is sm-p600?
It should written with the tablet name in "white font" as you said.

I know. I don't know why this is happening. Didn't think that flashing a custom recovery could be so difficult and troubling.
Btw I flashed stock android an everthing is working fine again.
I will search if CWM is available and will try to flash it if it is although I personally like TWRP a lot more :/

Ok, then look for the model number in the firmware name you flash with Odin, or in the "about device" section.

The model number is GT-N8010
Edit: Found some post about CWM and Galaxy Note 10.1 but these are very old and the download links don't work anymore.

See!!
That's the issue
The recovery you're flashing is for the p600 not for the n8010.
I will look for your recovery and post it later, right now I'm in a math lesson
Edit: here you are:

Use Flashify app to flash it.

Man thanks sooo much. I can't thank you enough for your time and patience. I tried to accomplish this for 2 days and was nearly giving up. Looking back, it was a stupid mistake but I saw "Galaxy Note 10.1 Wifi" and thought this would be the right one. Once again thank you so much man. You made my day.
