Youtube, Chrome and Google Maps don't work well with MIUI 10.1.1. Picture in picture mode with Youtube crashes often and videos pause or start again from the beginning when Youtube goes to background. Sometimes videos are totally black. Chrome often freezes (I can't navigate to a new website). Google Maps shows a black screen instead of the map. I have to force close these apps every time to make them work just for a while. 2) Why on Earth do I have to choose between primary and secondary app every time when I want to open the primary app (without badge)?
3) When I search for settings, the search bar covers the first option in Settings. See picture

Is it only me or ...
With "Sync Google Photos" and Sync Picassa Web Albums" activated I still cant sync my camera pictures with google+....
And the only way to make it work is to install Google+ app but then you can see picture twice in Gallery ... (one under camera pictures and the other under Instant upload folder....)
Help would be really appreciated....
What I did so far :
reset phone settings,
wipe dalvik
tried to sync with another account
tried over wifi
Sync report ok.... I have no clue !!!!
Thats how mine is. I just delete the camera photos after they sync.
Google + just uses the instant upload to put them in your private web folder. Having the sync enabled allows the phone to download those photos from your web albums and allows you to manually upload when you want. I dont think its for auto uploading like google +

So basically you mean that there is no way to sync camera photos without using Google+ app ?
I thought I could with my previous Galaxy Note... I dont understand what the "Sync Google photo" is for then....

As far as I know, not automatically. You can always go to the gallery, hold the camera folder and sync the whole album manually to wherever you want.
the link is broken on the google support site, but it use to read this:
Android 4.0 devices have a system setting that allows you to Sync Google Photos.
This setting enables syncing of your Google Photos from your web albums to your device's Gallery app. As a result, if you have a large number of photos in your web albums that have been uploaded through Picasa Web Albums or Google+, you may notice a high amount of battery or data usage during this sync.
This setting also enables or disables sync for Instant Uploads to Google+. However, to enable Instant Upload, you must enable Sync Google Photos as well as enable Instant Upload within the Google+ app

I am having trouble with background data usage from the 'Gallery' app. I think it is related to videos uploading when I'm off of wifi. In settings / accounts / gmail - I had instant upload on, and then in G+ I had to sync photos and videos only when on wifi and only when charging, but it's still using network data to background sync... and I have droidwall installed and 'gallery' is not one of the apps I white listed for network data.
Any ideas? for now I turned off background data since it didn't seem to affect any regular use of the phone and it does block the gallery app. Seems like there are quite a few options in the gmail accounts as far as photos go so not sure what they all do or what I should bother with. I do know that on my SGS, SGS2 this background usage wasn't happening and I had things setup then like I do now.
I have a problem. I want to open web page, which containts google map with pin points. (Address is http://www.4x4klubs.lv/2011/08/lpg/ )
I open it up, I see the google map, I can move in it, but I dont see any pin point.
In chrome its just blank map.
In built in browser if I click "show large map" under the maps, it opens up in google maps app. There, if I select "read" I can see all the addresses of pin points, but I still cant see them on map.

I'm facing same problem with Facebook. But my browser only closes when I try to type something to search within a website.
I'm on pacrom, and Facebook is acting up. Crashes to home screen when I click on photos in my feed. I suspect it may be a FB issue. I've gotten several app updates over the past few days. Are either of you guys using the beta channel for the FB app?

When I take a scrolling screenshot inside facebook messenger the youtube app opens for no reason and the scrolling screenshot wants to take youtube s.shot instead of the messenger's.
This however only happens with messenger. Taking s.shots with chrome, or viber works fine.
Apart from restarting the phone I also tried to turn chat heads on/off, and I tried disabling youtube app to only get an error upon drawing the "S" in the messenger, that yt app is not there. Kinda frustrating as I at times take s.shots in messenger.
This is on mate 10 pro.. .129
I'm using a OP5T with rooted OOS.
I'm encountering a problem where tapping URLs in certain apps (Boost for Reddit, FB Messenger, Tapatalk, etc) won't open my Chrome browser, but will take me back to my launcher with the "Google Play Store has stopped"
I have quadruple-checked that Chrome is set as the default link handler, have denied Play Store from opening any URLs that arent play.google.com, cleared cache/data, rebooted etc, but the error still persists.
I've found people having a similar issue, but in their instances it was them being taken to a Play Store listing for shady software instead of the correct URL (due to malware). In my case, it seems like the phone is trying to go to PS instead of Chrome, then crashing PS when it can't complete the request.
Any ideas?
