You mean these?
And by permanent you mean once I short them it'll be stuck in 9008 until I reflash it (maybe over USB)?
This could fix my phone though I'll have to figure out how to take the back off and put it back on.
So much for water resistance.

where is test point in the picture !!!!!
why you don't explain more like this
Maybe anyone wants to enter 9008 should try physical button combo first instead of teardown. Refer https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80216986&postcount=7 and Collection of mode entries with hardware key combination (maybe for most LG models) for detailed operations. Further see https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81834371&postcount=13 for 9008 steps.

A JTAG-box is a special machine that uses connection-points inside your phone in order to restore it to it's factory state, They're quite expensive, but most repair-shops will have one.
And no, unless you have a JTAG-machine, you can't fix it by yourself.

under it you will find white battery connector . Pop it out with little stick or something and let the phone stay 10 minutes without the battery. Connect again the battery and hold home and power if its vibrate while holding the power and home its OK! Then without releasing the HOME and POWER press the BACK button and HOLD it then release the HOME and POWER . NOW you are in flash mode . DONT release the back button and connect your phone to the PC. NOW!! IF PC recognize phone fix it via SEUS. If there is no reaction in PC ..... then JTAG my friend.
JTAG box are not cheap things . They are used for programing flash chips . Phone is opened and inside his have pinouts for programing . There connectors from JTAG goes to phone flash memory and JTAG flash the bootloader and etc. In service this cost from 30$ to 100$ depends from phone and model. One riffbox (if you can make it by yourself cost 350$ and 20$ for multi JTAG serial port)
I am xposting this from here: http://androidforums.com/threads/gu...-mode-no-fastboot.893311/page-10#post-7346768. Hopefully I can get someone here who can help.
Hi there,
I have a LG D320 device that one day just freezes up on boot (sits at LG logo forever).
I cannot enter download mode (Holding vol+ goes to loading screen and says to keep holding down until loaded... it never does)
The factory reset mode is accessible but I want to get the data from it first (Vol- on boot)
The device will only connect to a PC if I short the testpoint on the phones motherboard. The USB mode entered is QUALCOMM HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (after installation of the relevant Qualcomm bulk drivers).
Like I said, I only want to get the data off it and tried following instructions:
http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
But the partitions do not show up for copying!
Does anyone have any advice on how to go further?
I believe I need to use either QFIL (http://www.androidbrick.com/download/qpst-2-7-build-422-qfil/) or BoardDiag3.99 (like this instruction http://gsm-tips1.blogspot.com.au/2014/12/tutoriallg-g3-boot-repair-stuck-in.html). But I don't have the required files on hand (they ask for a partition.txt file, tot file etc...).
Like I said, I just want to get the data off the phone can anyone help?
I have gone through what I can but seem to be at wits end.
I can set this up on teamviewer if someone wants to log in remotely to try fix it.
I have posted a picture of the mobo, the CPU is an MSM8210 and eMMC is samsung kmk5x000vm-b314)

Hi @ll,
today i revived an old bricked MiniM8S II which i rediscovered in the junk-bin.
I bricked it by flashing an incompatible FW, which led to bootloops and a read-only-serial console. No matter what i tried, i couldn't make it boot from microSD, it kept on booting from eMMC and running into a bootloop.
When i bridged the pads marked in green

it booted into recovery mode
It looks as if there's supposed to be a pushbutton, so i added one.
I made a burndisk in linux as outlined here using this rom image, inserted the microSD into the device, held the new button down and powered it on.
And then it started flashing :good:
Hope this helps someone, since i haven't found anyone else mentioning this method.

Hi,
When you say bridged the pads it means soldering ? Or short pin is enough ?
So you do it then power on and it will boot to recovery ?
Do you think it could fix this issue also ? As it is running almost the same board.
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards,

Shorting the pads tempratoly to simulate the button
G’day Xda
As per a previous post of mine (https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/help/help-error-mode-boot-loop-access-to-t3831058) I am attempting to revive my P20 lite.
This has turned into a bit of personal project for me so with that I’ll point out I am not interested in paying for any proprietary software or hardware that seems readily available. I am only making use of open source software and putting together my own hardware where I can.
Is there anyone who is able to advise me where on the main board (Pics attached) I can find the Test Point and if possible knows where I can get hold of a copy of the Board software/firmware (apparently this is different to the normal phone software which is readily available???)
Any help/clues/advice would be greatly appreciated.

It Is too late now I guess, but did you try to send the unopened phone to Huawei for a warranty replacement?
I am aware they don't replace phones that have been modded. But by the time you were receiving the upgrade system error I am sure there was no possible way to see if you caused the error or the phone did itself through some freak accident software bug.
do you still have phone with you?

uhm... I think it worked? I booted into a rom and it says huawei ascend now... wtf is going on
i have a p20 lite stuck at bootloop. (shows Huawei logo with "powered by android" at bottom. no boot animation or loading animation.
can not enter recovery or download mode.
can not power off. Will test point method work for my p20 lite?
Anyone know how to fix a boot loop issue? Looks like my smartphone decided to go into a boot loop. My Realme GT2 Pro isn't seen by my PC in this state.
Soft-brick or hard-brick? Can you access the bootloader? Do you have ABD drivers on your PC?
I don't know the difference between a soft brick and hard brick. It starts to boot and recycles. I can manage only to get into this strange recovery mode. I tried all 3 options you see on the screen and there is no difference.

It's soft-bricked... it's easy to fix... But do you flashed the phone or just started bootlooping all of nothing?
It just started this yesterday for no reason. I was deleting some apps I don't use when it started.
How can I fix this when the device can't be seen by the PC?
Since you said that tried all three options from Recovery mode means that there's no more data to recover... So, just re-flash the phone... You'll need the ADB drivers for the PC to recognize the phone on bootloader...
I managed to get the phone into a condition where it is recognized by a qualcomm QDLoader. Where do I go from here?
This is EDL mode... This is for severe cases, which is not yours, for now... Is your phone unlocked?
I think the phone is unlocked right now
No fastboot available so how do I flash an image in EDL mode?
Are you sure you doesn't have access to bootloader? Start the phone with the power button + volume down...
Anyway, in EDL mode you can flash your phone with QFIL, but it's very buggy... Or with MSM Download Tool, which is flawless, but the problem is getting access to this software... That was my problem until today as you can see here...
MSM Downloaf Tool for realme GT 2 Pro
Does anyone know how to access this tool? This is ridiculous, realme has no useful tool to flash their phones and the one that is useful are impossible to access... The only one that I have access was one patched for some especific Oppo phone...
