So how can we backup stock kernel? I want to know too.

Flashify can do that.
TWRP has option to backup boot partition, but haven't used that, so can't tell if this backup contains kernel, maybe somebody can tell this.

I didn't back up the stock kernel. So, if I flash a stock rom through TWRP will that get me back on Stock Kernel?

Yes, if You are on that same ROM right now.

Yes or re-flash the Kernel through Clockwork if it's a flashable zip

[Q] Backup/Recovery original Kernel

I have a question whether it's possible to backup the original kernel before to flash a modded one, so that i can go a step back if i have problems. I can backup the whole ROM in Recovery that is also a solution, but maybe there is a chance to backup only the needed stuff and not the whole ROM.
As far as I know you can only backup your kernel by backing up your entire rom

At least in Version 2.2.1 of the Thunderg Custom Recovery (search the developers section) from getitnowmarketing it is possible to selectively backup only the kernel.
If the kernel to be saved is part of a stock ROM it can also be extracted from the ROM using the android kitchen... although this is much more complex.

why you need to do that? if something happened, just go into recovery and reflash the last good one.

you can save/put the kernel (as the original flashable zip file) on your sdcard.

Hi.
Could someone suggest a custom kernel for getting root and cwm.
I would also appreciate a link to the stock kernel for my phone.

With this method can i then backup my stock Rom and then flash a custom Rom.
And then if i want to go back to stock Rom i would restore backup and use unroot method.
For stock firmware, go to sammobile.com. Register and then get the firmware for your country

1). You can't run CM on stock firmware kernel.
2). You didn't specify what version of stock firmware kernel do you need.

The easiest way is to flash stock 5.1.1 with flashtool or restore tablet with pc-companion which will do basically the same.
P.S: Though, if you still need kernel, here it is.

If so, just use Flashtool (i recommend 0.9.18.6) to flash stock 5.1.1 firmware.
