Betop G1 Gamepad for P20 Pro? - Huawei P20 Pro Accessories

Hi!
I've just updated my P20 Pro to Pie and managed to get the AppAssistant working. In the app is the option to pair supported game controllers which at the moment is Betop G1. It's dedicated for Mate 20 series but as far as I know is now working with Honor Play as well. I was wondering if anybody tried that with P20 Pro? I play PUBG a lot and would like to try this out. Thanks

Mine just works fine also and it comes default with the update. If you check the pairing devices then it shows the betop g1 so no doubt that it will work fine.... It's just that weird design

How well does this fit the P20 Pro? Any photos of the controller attached?

It does not work with p20 pro, only with mate 20 series except mate 20 lite.
I suggest getting a third party Bluetooth controller

Honestly the best pad i've used and i've had a few is the iPega extendible, not only does it fit any phone or tablet (not quite the largest iPad) but everything under, the battery is built in, it's widely recognised for auto set up in emulators and games, battery lasts a long long time, plus it charges fast and the buttons and response time are superb.
I've had a few Moga's moga pro, normal moga, PS3 pad, xbox.
Prefer the d pad on a ps3 / ps4 but strictly for Android, the iPega has stood alone.
Might check out the one you mentioned though, cheers.
Heres the monster

Moga game controller

I just got mine in the mail today. Bought from amazon. I will post info here on my experience with the DNA and the moga controller, in case any of u are interested
EDIT: 3-16-13
as of today, i have used the moga controller 4 times. 2 of them played smoothly. the other two, i noticed a lag, an obvious lag. such a lag that i shut down Dead Trigger, cleaned the cache on my DNA, and rebooted it, hoping that would clear any issues.
packaging:
now that i got that off of my chest, here is a more proper description of the moga controller. it came in a nice package that included a download code for a download of sonic cd. i havent tried it yet. it also came with the standard manuals, legal docs, etc. and lastly it came with that leather pouch that u see in the pictures below. i really like the pouch, fits the controller nice and snug.
working the device:
setting up the controller with your phone is fairly easy, simply install the moga app, turn on your bluetooth, and follow the intructions on the moga app: make sure the moga controller is on by turning on the power switch thats hiding under the phone clamp. wait for the controller and your phone to pair up, itll typically take a few seconds to pair up when functioning properly. but im running into an issue, often times itll take a long time to pair up. very long, more than a minute long. sometimes i toggle on an off the bluetooth till it finally gets running. but its beginning to upset me that itll take that long to pair up.
feel of the device
did any of u ever hold the original xbox small controller? wll this is what it feels like to me, it feels perfect in my hands, i have fairly medium to large size hands. the analogs, joysticks feel like the one from the nintendo 3ds, and if uve ever felt it, then u know what im talking about. lets just say, it feels nice. i know ps3 analogs would be much better, but this is how it was made, and i like it.
pros
now when it functions properly, it is amazing! i love playing dead trigger with this controller, it gets right on the dot when i hit that trigger and kill them zombies!
cons
remember the lag i mentioned? well i have experienced times when i hit the shooting triiger and i experience at least a half of a second to a whole sencond of lag time till i finnaly see the weapon being shot off in dead trigger, very upsetting. and also, when turning or moving my character, sometimes he continues to move even after i left go of the joysticks/analogs.
i know some of u would like more details, so please feel free to ask away. i will update my experience with this controller further down.
im not sure how to post pictures, but i did the best to make sure u can see how it looks with my dna on the controller

Pictures as well I hope.
I originally bought mine so I could play SNES games better. A wood of advice, if you want to use the device for anything other then the game that you buy through the MOGA software, you need to download the MOGA Universal Driver. It's a separate app that you run and changes it to a universal controller. It works best if you have root access but can be used without it. Below is the link to it.

I actually got one of these at PAX East for free and haven't had a chance to try it on my DNA. I'll have to do that when I get home tonight and see how it works.
Help with MOGA Hero
Hello
I just got the hero pocket version, to use with my Droid DNA. It works with the pivot app, but it is not detected by the universal driver app. I have tried stopping the pivot service as well as the other suggestions in the universal driver app guide, but it still won't work. This is very frustrating because the main reason I got the controller was for the emulators. I was wondering if this could be an issue specific to the droid DNA?
WOAH, not that moga. dear god.
What you need is the POWER A MOGA Pro Power. It's a full sized controller. Feels like a mix of xbox 360 and ps3 controller. Has two modes A and B. A is the normal MOGA connection setting, B is a HID input setting. A good number of games that do not support MOGA will support the HID setting (B). Battery life is amazing, even phone charging capabilities. Rechargeable batteries, no AAA's required. I was able to download Epic Citadel and run around, jump, that's about it but that's all you can do with that tech demo. Respawnables works with (B) setting even though it isn't moga supported.
I had the MOGA pocket before. I thought it was pretty cool at first, but just all around a piece of crap IMHO. My recommendation is the POWER A MOGA pro power. dual analog sticks, d pad, a, b, x, y, r1, r2, r3, and l1, l2, l3, along with start and select buttons. I HIGHLY recommend you upgrade brother. It's cheap on amazon and WELL worth it! :good:

For the Universal Driver you must be rooted, and your specific MOGA has to be supported by the app. Check in the app description to see if it is or not. IF it is supported and you are rooted, app settings< clear cache & data (for universal driver ONLY), reboot, check in SU log if universal driver has been granted Super User permissions. Any other problems just ask :good:
If you're wondering, B mode (HID) is the same as syncing moga with Universal Driver in mode A. (In my experiences it is) So, if you have a MOGA with A & B settings and you want to play emulators, just switch to B mode, then map controls in the emulator controller settings. :good:

Third Party Controllers

Does anyone know if the Nexus Player supports them, and what about a USB controller over OTG? OTG, in general, for that matter.
Sent from my Oneplus One with Tapatalk Pro.
In my case specifically I would love that DualSchock 3 (PS3 controller) from Sony do the thing hoping that the bluetooth environment are compatible, I maybe pro Google and the Nexus Player is a hell of a device in every angle, including price value, but I am also pro money and Nexus 6 plus the Player and ALSO needs to buy apart the ASUS controller, I rather the first two.
I was able to get Xbox controllers working on the Fire TV by just plugging them in. I'm sure the Nexus Player running android will have Plug and Play support for most controllers.
talk about putting the cart before the horse...
i ordered two nexus player controllers. they are scheduled to be shipped to me tomorrow...
the thing is i dont yet have the players (i ordered two)
Waiting patiently myself. I ordered an official controller. But Im hoping an xbox 360 controller over OTG will work.

If the Nexus Player controller is the same as the one that came with ADT-1 (and it looks like it is by the pictures), it's just a standard bluetooth controller. . . and it sucks. That said though, I did learn that I could connect my PS3 controller to my ADT-1 via USB and it just worked (after hitting the PS button). The only odd thing with using the sixaxis is after I disconnect it from the ADT-1, it turns on my PS3. haha
I have successfully paired a Moga Pro in HID mode, and hooked up multiple Xbox 360 controllers over OTG. If you already have USB or Bluetooth controllers that work on other Android devices, chances are good that they will work on the Player as well.
The only limitation for now is that controllers that rely on an app for custom mappings or touch emulation are not guaranteed to work, simply because most apps are not optimized for Android TV yet. YMMV.
I received my NP yesterday and have both my Nyko Playpad Pro's connected and working fine, no issues.
any chance the Nvidia Shield controller will work?
Unsure on Nvidia Shield, but do not see why not. The Nyko's were purchased in hopes they would work when Fire TV came out and they were half the price @ Gamestop (paid $20/each) compared to the FireTV controller and they worked straight away.
PS4 controller is working via USB, it'll show up on Bluetooth if you put it into pairing mode (hold Share + PS button) but it will never finish pairing
The Logitech F710 works with Android 5, but I don't have an OTG cable that will work in the NPlayer. I ordered one. I'll test with the player once that arrives.
This is not a bluetooth gamepad, but it is wireless and has a USB dongle. My current OTG cable has an angled connection, and it angles towards the HDMI cable. I did test it with my N9 and verified it worked fine there. Since it's suppose to be the same Android but with a different UI, I anticipate it working on the NPlayer as well.
Will update with results when I have them.

that wont work, nividia shield works over wifi and not bluetooth. i own two and will test on the nexus player but it already doesnt work on any other android device so im sure it wont.
Got my straight OTG cable in. Logitech F710 works fine. Played some FF3 with it without issue.
I am researching on a controller to buy for the nexus player. I have the NES30 and im having issues connecting. I am looking for one to buy to play emulators such as n64. Which controller would be best?
The gamepad or a 3rd party one? Does anyone know if the Amazon fire tv one works with the NP?

Hey man, I paired my $15 nyko playpad with zero issues. Playing mupen64 Roms like a boss.

Thanks, Cody! Would you recommend the playpad over the playpad pro?
I have amazon credit, so if i get a controller there I can get a controller cheap. I was thinking about trying the amazon fire tv controller or maybe another bluetooth controller maybe Mad Catz ctrl r or i.
Is the nexus gamepad worth $50 (with tax and shipping) vs the other controllers I mention above? I have enough amazon credit to get most controllers on amazon for really cheap.
Can u pair two controllers. Bluetooth at the same time to play a game such as contra

I happened to own a Nyko Playpad (not the Pro) from a while ago that I never really used. While I can't recommend it as a great gaming controller, it does have one key feature that turns it from run-of-the-mill control pad to ultimate NP utility. It contains a switch that allows you to switch between HID, iCade, Mouse, and App modes. It's the Mouse setting that makes this controller truly useful, because without it, I couldn't navigate around MAME to set up my control pad, or navigate around Mupen64 to quit out of a game (how else are people achieving this? Just quitting out?) Basically, to really set up many of the emus properly, you need some kind of mouse input, so it's nice that I can switch the Playpad back and forth between HID and Mouse modes as needed.

How did you set up the buttons? I don't exactly have a touch screen TV to setup each button individually.

Headphones not working

Hey all!
I have a Huawei P20 lite and when I plug in my Logitech G231 Prodigy it doesn't recognise it and just uses the speakers. If I use a different headphone it works fine, but I really don't like these cheap things. I've heard about some app called SoundAbout, but it's not compatible with android 8. Also, the headphone works fine in my laptop + old phone & used to work on my P20 lite (which is a month old) but since today it's just not detected. Can anyone please help me out on this?

Help with Amazon Fire TV Game controller

Hello, I recently purchased this controller for around 20 dollars and I'm trying to pair up with my Huawei P20 lite, the thing is that when I try to pair it (by holding the home button for 5 seconds) it can't find it, is this controller only designed for the fire TV stick or is there a way to make it work for Android phones? I was reading some discussion about making it work on Windows and some of them had some luck but I don't really know
Thanks for reading

Game Controller

Does anyone know of any decent game controllers for the 6T? I like the ones that fit around the phone and I've seen a couple of mentions of the Flydigi Wee over at Reddit, but I can't seem to find any in the UK. What do you guys use?
I don't have any that fit around the phone, but I have a few 8BitDo controllers. High quality, great battery life, and good feel.
I have one of them that I use on my shield. Was hoping for something a bit more portable tho, so you don't have to then hold the phone.
I've been using the steelseries status xl. Also bought the clip direct from them. Works great and holds the phone pretty securely.
I have a steelseries stratus xl but it lags on input when I comes to games. Now I just use my Xbox one controller that has Bluetooth and it's amazing.
I've decided to go for the Wee2T after watching a lot of reviews on it. It's coming from China so no idea when I'll receive it, but I'll post some pics when I have it.
OK...so I recieved the controller over the weekend and after some tinkering have got it working. The only issue I have is that with the latest version of the app I can't seem to remap the keys. There should be a pull out menu that overlays games, but this is missing. If I use an older version of the app then it seems to work fine. I'll take some pics tonight and post; the actual controller works really well.
I use the 8bitso zero keychain Bluetooth controller. It's on my keychain with my home and car keys and works perfectly for short bursts of snes or Genesis or tg16

Just buy a Bluetooth enabled Xbox one controller. Works just like console. I play fortnite on it with no input lag whatsoever.
Gamesir is the best you will find. All you have to do is decide if you like the Playstation or Xbox controller
The Gamevice for the Pixel phones works great with the 6T. Can't use it with a case though.
I play with Dualshock 4, it has the best analog accuracy compared to other bluetooth controller like gamesir and ipega (and also feels better when I hold it). It can run over Bluetooth and OTG cable. But you need some tinkering to fix the input lag on Bluetooth. But I always play on OTG cable since I want the connection to be more stable. I also use DOBE Dualshock 4 Mount to attach my phone to the Dualshock 4 so I can play anywhere anytime.
But can it play COD mobile ?

How did you go about fixing the lag?
I'm using DS4 controller with cheap phone holder that clips on dualshock. It works really good and this holder cost under 2 dollars.
xbox1 (the one with bluetooth) and a clip for 3$. Its rock solid
